Hi Ramsey, I'm thinking of blind buying Russian Musk 2. I don't know natural musk yet, but I think I will enjoy it. I love great ouds, and Pine is a favorite note. So I'm drawn to Siberian Musk or Russian Musk because of the pine forest vibe. Is Russian Musk a reformulated Siberian Musk? And is Russian Musk close to your favorite musk, Siberian Musk? Thanks for any comment. I have also ordered Prin samples of Mriga and Mongolian Mriga...

Have sampled Rusian Musk I and II. Siberian musk II as well. I find them somewhat similar. Not the same. But you know how some times artists have diferent versions of the same song. Adam describes it like second book of the same story. For me all 3 of them are telling the same wanderful story. And must admit nothing in my colection smels remotley similar.

I’ve been wanting to get my hands on this for years now. Is this at all similar to musc ravageur by Frederic Malle? Seems to share a lot of the same notes/ vibe. Maybe the old formulation of it that went slightly more anamalic as opposed to the gourmondy new version. I love musc ravageur, it’s one of my all time favorites. This seems like an even better version with more complexity, longevity, and darker smoothness.

I'll have to sample some of these fragrances! I also really LOVE Russian perfumery... I've always had a bottle of Cuir De Russie by L.T. Piver since I was about 14. It used to be THE QUINTESSENTIAL Russian Leather Musk fragrance. It was introduced in the 1930s and stayed the same until only a few years ago. Of course they ruined it... It just doesn't have the "stones" that the original formulation had. Why, oh why do these Houses think they have to modernize their classics?

Russian Forest sounds like it could be a wonderful fragrance. 🌲🌲🌲 Methinks forests could become a marketing theme very soon with all the wildfires we've had this year. Hope it's not abused.
Very insightful. I am not familiar with this house but you described the scent really well, as always. Did I understand that it might resemble "Polo Green" by far?. I am looking forward to find my chypre gem as it is my favorite perfume genre. I have "Etruscan Water" and "Chypre Siam", I love the first one but the later one comes across a bit too strong with that kefir lime.

Just finished unboxing my 50ml Diaghilev that comes with 7.5ml of PDLN 3 and….. i managed to purchased the ALD classic set as well. Will be on a buying hiatus from now on… 😂😂😂
