Thank you for this type of van life YT segment on your channel. It was really, really interesting and informative! As a long time 'road explorer' and 'people watcher', this segment of your channel was the type of IN-DEPTH REPORTING that I (-and I'm sure others), can really appreciate! I could see that the two of you really were excited about it, also!!!! Exploring, taking the time to look at learn about another place (-esp. the natural or environmental aspects of an area), or another way of life (-the cultureal differeces of people), or another time (-historical legacies and stories that are preserved in special places) are intensely interesting and enriching. Those are the types of segments that I was hoping to find along with the travel and van life information on your channel. I have kept you on my radar since you started and finished your van build [THOSE SEGMENTS WERE SUPERB!] And your early short trip, explorations, esp. around FL were very good, because they were more relaxed and informative, it seemed. But, since you started full time van life, the segments have often, at times, resembled the old movies/sit coms that kept a camera log of '24 hours in the day of -----'. These segments were sometimes, but sorry, not always, worth the time. Kept watching, because I'd like you guys to succeed. And, because I have a van and have plans to use it to do some late-in-life traveling to special places. You guys do have good ideas and tips about doing the van life thing. Thank you! And keep that up please for all your viewers. NOTE: I hate to be so harsh. I really, really do appreciate the effort you guys are putting into getting your segments online. So l have kept up with your posts for the last year or so. AND, while somewhat disappointed lately, I have been delighted that Audra has noted several times that you've been thinking along the ideas that I'm setting out in this long, long commentary. Adding a personal note: (-since your YT posts are often very personal, -a part of the algorithm that I've been amazed at at times.) Long ago, I finally told my drive-a-holoic husband (-when we went on long road trips, camping overnight, with our young kids), that while I loved going on the 2 to 3 week trips, the agenda had to change to include frequent lay overs of a few days here and there, to get out and explore an area! It was worth it. Later, in mature adult life, I've been able to keep that up, to the extent of taking positions in parks, as a volunteer, and then, since I had a university education in the natural sciences, and the passion to educate myself in history, I was able to take seasonal positions in great national parks for a few years as a ranger. GREAT EXPERIENCES!!!! So, I hope you will keep up your travels and adventures. BUT, ---- TAKE TIME TO REALLY GET OUT EXLORE!!!!!!!!
Hi Barbara, thank you for your dedication to our channel and taking time to share your input. We are always striving to put out the best content we can. We love being able to do content like the cranberry harvest but the reality is that we don’t always have opportunities for things like this (we were thrilled to be at the right place at the right time for it), it takes more time to do added research and voice over for a video like this, and sadly this type of video doesn’t get as many views as our more van life focused videos. We have to balance time invested into our videos with work and other things but we do try to share educational, historical, and cultural aspects when we can. Also, there are many times when if you haven’t clicked to watch a video you may not know there are some of these aspects included even when the title or thumbnail doesn’t reflect that. We visit lots of historical sites, botanical gardens, state capitol buildings, etc. We love that you have been able to volunteer and work at parks and that you have hopes to travel more. We hope you’ll be able to!
@@SteveAudra Oh i don't think i said i wanted to get in his head to learn that. I am content with learning it via continued videos. :) I think i will stay on the outside of Steve's mind. I have enough problems trying to stay in my own right mind. :)
What a cool and informative post! I love cranberries, have seen the bogs from commercials that Ocean Spray did years ago. Seeing Audra and Steve ~ along with their explanation ~ was exciting! Thank you for seeking out the cranberry bog location, and sharing your experience with us!😊
Fun fact, Jersey is also known for our cranberry bogs. Theres harvest fests every year. I'm curious if anyone mentioned the wolf spiders that also come to the top when the bog is flooded.. 😨 I've never seen the cranberry plants prior to them being flooded. Very cool! Great vlog, as always!
@@Christina0623 It's so funny that we never new there were bogs in NJ.
