This has been a wild season with most of my favorite players getting eliminated early on but I'm so glad we are 100% safe from getting ZvZ finals. I was very scared when I saw we had so many zergs in RO.8

Some advice that I'm taking straight from old TotalBiscuit VODs, add some dead space buffer to the end of the video, like just silent blank screen, for like an hour plus. Means for series like this a viewer can't intuit the winner based on the current score and remaining runtime. Cuz while I respect the intention down to the ground, it's hard to buy into the casters hyping up a reverse sweep when i can see less that half an hour left in the video.

I feel like JD was too impatient in the last attack in g3. He was only ahead by 3 red mutas, this doesn't advantage enough for a cross map attack. Tasteless was bang on in recommending he lay back and macro while his surplus mutas recover.
Artosis mentioned the old 6 pool build, and I was thinking the same thing. These days, you see 4 and 5 pools (depending on the map and matchup), 7 pools (very rarely), and 9 pools (as a standard build), but you never see 6 or 8 pools. But in the early days, the 6 pool rush was a pretty common opening. I wonder if that went away because map designs changed or if it was just always a bad build from the start.
Don't confuse tournament winnings with net winnings. Because tournament winnings doesn't account for the buyin amounts. Example: if i win a $10 tournament for $100 my tournament winnings are $100 but my net winnings (profit) would be $90.

The ZvZ’s are so interesting. Some of the Muta and scourge engagements are weird. It seems like one Z has the upper hand and then the other Z ends up on top. I hope Artosis can dissect this game one day and explain to us how some of those engagements ended up so lopsided. Crazy stuff.

It honestly felt like JD just completely misread the muta battles. I actually thought his micro was fine in them but herO always had more. For example in that final game I have NO idea why JD was pushing across the map(regarding the mutalisks). I'm pretty sure Artosis even said earlier in that game that pushing across the map when your builds are very even with muta's is a mistake (because of defenders advantage) and JD promptly pushed across the map and lost the muta battle.

Some can be configured to use keywords, but I just toggle the extension icon before I load the video. There are additional extensions to customise or filter youtube's video recommendations to hide spoilers. I'm not an authority on browsers or extensions, I hope you can figure it out.

i think that in the final game the fight that jd won at his nat turned out like that because his scourge were hitting hero's mutas in pairs and hero's scourge split in to several different mutas and his mutas didnt target those mutas. though im not 100% sure. and the final fight might have gone the other the other way because several of jd's mutas were already damaged and hero had more scourge
I don´t know why Artosis believed ZvZ was Jaedongs strongest matchup? I think recently he performed best against the other races, and he just barely won against zergs.
Artosis needs a software update (and some of the rest of us too). He's stuck in the 2006 to 2010 where Jaedong was 75%. It's weird not to associate Jaedong with that. Looks like his dominance ended in 2011 while everyone had switched to SC2, he was only 55% that year. The matchup has evolved and he hasn't figured it out. Expansions being common is weird. No one looks as good vs scourge as they used to be, but that also might be expo powered gas adding more volume, and better surround tactics.

The muta fights always go badly for the attacker. With even muta counts, the defender replenishes scourge more quickly, and they all arrive together.

JD smashes 5 scourges to kill one Muta, Hero carefully uses two at a time to inflict maximum damage. This is most apparent in Game 3
