  • Am I going to keep working now that I'm a wife (married). What will happen to my career, my job..now that I have the freedom to choose what I want to spend my days doing and pursuing? I am so thankful to have a supportive partner and this choice. I give all the credit to God. Let me know if you have made this choice recently and what you have decided to do. I am so curious to hear your experiences =)

From an early age I knew I wanted to be a stay at home mum/wife but my whole life my dad had told me about the importance of being independent and how you can’t rely on a man. That stuck with me and I’m still studying my butt off at 26 yrs old so I can get a good degree that gives me a good job and I can pay my life and help my parents but in the back of my mind I’m always waiting to meet a godly man that it’s okay with me staying at home taking care of the house and kids/dogs and having maybe a part time job and that won’t make me feel like I’m lazy and I hope one day I can full fill that dream of mine.

I would absolutely LOVE to be a stay at home mom personally. I think the world we live in today is so disparaging when it comes to this and it’s especially hard economically. So if you are in the financial place to make that choice, I think that’s such a blessing. My mom always harps on being independent too because she has been divorced a few times and has suffered because of it and would hate for me to rely on anyone else the way she had to. I’m curious to know what your take is on this? I have always dreamed of having the time to actually raise my own children and make my home a warm and happy place to be. I’ve never had any other real ambitions, just a passion for some hobbies here and there. I think there is so much value in raising children and being a wife because at the end of our lives that’s what will matter to us. I hope that whatever we all choose, we’re able to choose it for us and for our higher power.

since being born again this year, the Lord has called me to be a stay at home mom. it’s definitely something I yearn for now. I was raised on feminism, but realized (in my now mid 20s) that doesn’t line up with who I am. I am also very fortunate to have a husband that wants the same for me, he would love me to stay at home. currently blessed to be transitioned to working from home now (which I’m convinced is from the Lord bc it’s something I prayed for and then the office literally just closed out of nowhere) and I’m practicing my homemaking skills in hopes that when the Lord blesses me with children I will be ready! just content in this season, but I know what I’m called for☺️

Well I’m not at the time period to choose that but I adore both stay at home and working mom but I will be a working mom simply because I have a passion of sewing and making clothes and running a business but if I didn’t have a passion I will probably be a stay home mom

I have quit the music business and decided to study law, starting in 10 days. I had been on stages since I was 13, music was a huge part of my identity and still is. But admitting to myself that I wasn‘t happy in the business, was a painful thing and I am glad I did admit it finally, at 27. it was never really my choice and I was pushed by my former manager and father who never truly supported the enfolding of my own personality and my spiritual and financial independence. It was a long way until I would truly integrate the fact that I was abused. That the spotlight was where I seeked the love that I never received at home. And that in order to heal I would have to abandon music for at least a long time . Something like music, the world can’t seem to see much negative about, unlike plastic surgery. So it was such a fight to identify it as a huge part the problem.
Quitting art was the hardest thing I ever did , not just because there’s a widespread belief that a true artist can’t quit, and all the stereotypes about artists and lawyers that couldnt be more the opposite in europe. also because it was all I ever did, knew and my CV isn‘t really what brings you the best alternatives immediately. I felt stuck for so long. Didnt know whatelse to do. Fear of regret kept me in a very passive state for years.
I was surrounded by people who would put me under so much pressure. I‘ve even decided to leave most of my friends behind , because they judge me , they say its a shame to throw away such talent. Or they feel offended by the fact that I want out, they take it personal. First we all thought its just a long creative block . But their constant invitations to jam really started to annoy me. Even when my favorite drummer in the world invited me.. I just don‘t like to play music anymore so much.
Yes I was given talent , but that doesnt mean this is what I have to do all my life. I want to do something more meaningful than live among so many narcissistic people who are mostly political hypocrites and who love to be in the spotlight for making mostly mediocre petty stuff that was already done by other people thousand times. many things about this world depressed me. It is such a relief to finally be honest about it and to have a different plan.
My success shall be education . 🤍
I used to be in the debate club in school , debating was another talent that was just overseen.
So yeah I can identify with doing things you don’t want to , while everyone applauds .
It‘s a horrible feeling. And the best concerts I played were usally the ones I broke down in tears backstage.

I know it isn't always easy to stay authentic and still make money.... my own career has had its ups and downs for the same reasons, but I think you're seeing that when you have faith and trust yourself it CONTINUES to work out!

My mom has always been a stay at home wife/mom since my parents got married. I would NEVER associate my mom with being lazy. People are so hyper focused on the female hustle. But not every woman wants to be a leader, a business owner, or a boss. Some of us just want to be mothers and life a comfortable life, and that is perfectly fine. 💕

It is so beautiful to see and hear you talk about your relationship and how rare and great it is. How not only does he do the bare minimum, but he goes far beyond that and is a good boyfriend and now a great husband. There for YOU. Watching you all these years it's so great to see you happier and figuring things out for the best. Also I love sit-down videos. I love sitting here with you and having a deep talk with you. You don't need to do any kind of video you don't feel like you enjoy or want to do. As much as I love seeing the videos with your daily life I enjoy just sitting here with you

Also- I feel like it is so rare to meet men who respect women. Ugh, when you are an independent woman who owns their own house (I hate that term "independent woman") men can be so intimidated or attracted by this! and if they are attracted by it it is often because they are looking someone to take care of them, be their "mom." It makes it really hard to date. It was nice to hear that you were able to navigate all of that and still find someone great.
It really helps me to hear your story and how you've overcome things, because you're taking a different route than most in terms of your internal navigation and its beautiful. Thank you!

  • @beccadesarmenien5379

Also, I agree it is hard to find someone who respects both working or being a stay at home mom. Thankfully my husband supports me being a stay at home mom, but so many people always ask him why I don't just put my kid in daycare and work a "real" job. I have a degree as well and a lot of people tell me I'm throwing it away because I decided to stay at home with my baby. It's been tough for me because I feel I am doing what the lord has asked of me and I love being a home maker! I don't know why there is such an attack on stay at home moms... it's definitely something I hear about a lot.

11:00 I love the direction of your channel (I'm a similar age and having a very similar change in life right now.) I think it's beautiful that you want to share wisdom and to stop people from making mistakes as you put it... but I think making mistakes is a part of life and learning. This is how you grew and gained wisdom. (Or one of the ways.) It's lovely that you want to prevent pain, but I think that the human experience requires that we experience it to test our resilience and help us grow. I think instead of giving someone a roadmap to avoid making "mistakes" could this be segued or reframed as "how can I help people cope with XYZ or when they've experienced this." ? After all, your mistakes have led you to where you are now! Were they really mistakes then? Food for thought :) ps. i would be super intrigued to hear your controversial thoughts!

I can’t wait for this next chapter on your youtube channel but at the same time I’m really loving your latest vlogs ❤ their are really inspiring and calming. Plus, I would like to see your home tour. 😍 So in my opinion it would be amazing to see vlogs and chatty videos about diffrent topics since I usually listen to podcast. Moreover I really like american culture so by watching vlogs, I get the chance to learn so much, since I’m italian. 💗 xoxo

Yes I’d love to hear all about the truth! Don’t be afraid of the reactions you’ll get from people that don’t want controversial topics. You can’t change or compromise the word of God. ♥️

    Hi ❤
I've followed you for a long time, I got engaged about the same time of your first engagement, I remember I was a little sad I didn't plan everything the way you did and it wasn't as glamorous but then many things happened, my relationship also wasn't great at that time and I was relating to you, now my relationship got better and me and my husband are still working on it and going to therapy, what I wanna say is that I love how you evolved and I love the new topics and the changes you've made ❤️

honestly a podcast would be a great next step for you alana given your current shift into more simplified authentic and relaxed content i lean you have it all, great mind, great concepts, experience, critical thinking and the cherry on top a pleasant and calming voice. i think it would be less stressing for you.

The change The Lord has made in your life. It’s so beautiful to see a young woman who knows her value because she’s a child of God. Your not better then, or worse then your Gods child. Being a Wife and a Mother is the best gift you can give the world. Yes, your raising kids, but kids grow up and the world needs Christians willing to tell them the changes Jesus has made in their life. Tim and you are on the right path. Keep your eyes on The Lord, guard your hearts, continue to serve each other, and your dreams and MORE will come true.
How a man treats his own mother will be eventually be how he treats his wife.
    Your BOTH blessed 💕

This is so relatable to me, Alana. What a breath of fresh air! I worked as an RN while I had my 1 yr old and pregnant with my second and then my husband and I decided for me to stay at home with the babies. It has been the most rewarding thing I’ve done and I feel like I’m walking in my purpose. Nursing was that for me for a while and I see it as a ministry calling, not just a career. But there’s a time for everything and my calling is to serve my husband, raise my kids, and keep my home, (plus a few other ministry things). What you said about vlogging spoke to me so much. I struggle to get content out there for the same reasons and often think, “what is this for? What’s the point?”. Sit down videos are more my speed now and I’m really enjoying hearing from you and what the Lord has been teaching you! You are such a light in this space! I look forward to your future videos! 🤍
