So here are the major characters:
Lizzie: main character. Duh. Narrates her life through cartoon character.
Gordo: Lizzie's 1st best friend since they were kids (the other one isn't in the film or last 6 episodes of the show because the actress wasn't available). One of the top two nerds in class. Not so secretly has a huge crush on her- by which I mean everyone but she thinks it is obvious.
Kate: Lizzie's friend as kids until Kate "went away to summer camp and came back with a bra". Kate is one of those bad self esteem kind of bullies who can only feel good by putting everyone else down.
Ethan: as dumb as he is nice. As nice as he is good looking. The kind of guy who never met someone he didn't think was a friend, even if they find him kind of annoying. Lizzie and Kate often competed to get his attention.
Matt: Lizzie's kid brother. A menace to society and possibly the smartest character in the cast, but his lack of impulse control and over active imagination is often his downfall. Tbh, he might have built that spygear from the opening.
lizzie's inner thoughts are sometimes expressed from the animated version of herself. u see a lot of it in the show

This is such an underrated movie the TV shows even better for Lizzie McGuire that's awesome I'm glad you enjoyed it and you had fun the plot twist and the cliches get broken in this movie and of course Lizzie McGuire playing at the coliseum was freaking phenomenal

I love you watching this with no context. Lizze McGuire was my favorite show as a kid and I watched it every time it was on, even if it was just a rerun. I also had a huge crush on Gordo so, y'know lol.
Okay so! Lizzie is the epitome of clumsiness. That's her thing in the show. She slips, falls over, causes messes, gets covered in food a lot, and gets hit by lockers a lot. Yes, we're supposed to ship Lizzie and Gordo. Gordo is one of her best friends and has had a crush on Lizzie for ages and while it's obvious to everyone, Lizzie doesn't realize it. Also the cartwheel she did is actually a thing because there's a whole episode that focuses on the fact that she can do cartwheels one handed because she teaches Kate how to do them when she injures her arm and can't do cheerleading until it's healed.
But yeah, I adore this movie with my whole heart, I've seen it countless times. The plot is amazing. The soundtrack is a whole bop. It's just such a fun movie. I adore it.

Lizzie Maguire was before my time (literally before I was born), however I WAS obsessed with Hannah Montana. I haven’t watched Lizzie Maguire’s show, but i have watched this movie and it IS IT. It actually came out in Cinema’s too. The 2000s disney girl’s did THAT! I miss when disney show’s got their own movies. Also when high school musical got the 3rd movie in cinema’s, that was iconic!

Gordo is his nickname! His full name is David Gordon. I don't think they ever explained why his nickname is Gordo... as a kid I always thought it was funny bc gordo is fat in Spanish and is a common nickname in Hispanic families bc we're mean 😂 I always had a headcanon that Miranda (their bff who is Mexican in the show) misheard his name as a kid and called him Gordo and it stuck.

I watched this movie when it came out in cinema, watching this video was like a mirror of when i watched it that first time nearly 20 years ago! especially with the bop finale, i remember being obsessed with that whole performance

This movie is so iconic in many ways and definitely shaped me as a child in so many ways…including thinking everyone had a lookalike that just had a different haircolour

For context, Kate used to be friends with Lizzie, until she became a cheerleader and then left her in the dust. It's true character development that Kate wants to just eat spaghetti and not care about how she looks, she's truly growing and we stan

The songs are the best. Hilary Duff to this day is still one of my role models. Her music, her shows, her movies, her clothing line, her perfume and just her personality was such an inspiration to young girls. Currently 30 years old and still think she’s amazing and this movie still one of my faves.
Plus she is like the only Disney channel actress that stayed acting and turned out normal
