Optimally, this gorgeous scent will be worn in the autumn, during day or night by the gentleman in the Dos Equis beer commercial (The Most Interesting Man In The World) but, as a younger man, starting at age 34 or so...Maybe, Carly Simon in her prime. Cheers!

I bought Coromandel recently, but have been seriously disappointed by the performance. I have no idea what the EDT was like, never having experenced it. But the EDP's projection and sillage are all but nonexistent. It's a skin scent that fades away all too fast. I'm just grateful that I didn't succumb to the urge to buy the larger 200 ml. bottle. No complaint with the scent itself, but if I had to do it again, I'd buy Xerjoff's Richwood instead. Essentially the same fragrance, but it performs.
Greg, thanks very much for commenting on your experience. Everyone's skin is different but, it is strange and unfortunate when very poor performance is the result. Coromandel does not have great longevity imo but, it should have good to very good performance. For example, in terms of projection, when it is test sprayed on a card, a small spritz, the whole room (at work for example) immediately turns their heads and shouts, "what's that!?".
If you can, ask someone around you, after 5 hours if they can smell you.
This is my first Les Exclusif, absolutely love it. Got it a couple months ago in summer, cant wait for Autumn and Winter to really wear it. Cuir de Russie will be my next one.

Your description of a girl wearing Coromandel is seriously way off, its a dignified sophisticated scent worn by someone with some life experience you say, then a girl wearing leopard print top with jeans is not that!

To my nose this smells a LOT like Patchouli Imperiale, but there’s more going on in Coromandel.
The two are similar in thickness and density, I think..P.I. gives me some "medicinal" vibes and caters to the more experienced, fragrance connoisseur...Coromandel is a "Head Turner".

I have not. I know of its comparison to Coromandel just like some others. The bottle looks amazing.
