This video is encyclopedia of Les Exclusifs series. A reference point video for anybody planing to buy any of the fragrances in that famous Chanel line. Surely a video to watch many times as there are so many fragrances covered an so many detailes described and explained ! Fabulous job ! Textbook quality ! Well done !!!
Thank you very much! You are too kind.. I tried my best to give an overview of this great collection. It may not have all the production value but I am glad it was of some help atleast. Cheers!
Still have half a bottle of Sycomore from about 12 years ago. It's without a doubt one of my most beloved fragrances. A true green masterpiece by Jacques Polge, a masculine homage to Chanel No 19. It is what Terre d'Hermes wants and pretends to be. And back in the day, you didn't need to take out a mortgage to buy a bottle. This, and Geranium pour Monsieur by Frederic Malle, are desert-island-worthy.
Great video! 😊 I'm excited to try Comete. My favorite is No. 18 EDT. I much prefer the EDT formulation over the current EDP formulation. The EDT is cold and crisp whereas the EDP is warm and fuzzy. I also like Coromandel, but again I prefer it in the EDT formulation. I really wish Chanel would bring back the EDTs. Forgot to mention that I also like Jersey. It's one that I actually prefer the EDP because I smell more lavender in the EDP whereas I smell more violets in the EDT and I'm not the biggest fan of violets.
Thank you! Great! Enjoy testing Comète and let us know your thoughts. N°18 is one of my recent loves. Hope to pick it up sometime. Yeah, unfortunately getting harder to find EDTs now. Cheers!
Great review! My favorite is definitely Coromandel. Every time I wear it brings me so much joy. Fashion is my first love and having wearing Chanel for years I have noticed how the quality has gone down both in their clothes and hand bags. I hope that doesn’t happen to the perfumes.
Thank you very much! Coromandel is Amazing indeed. Yes, I have been seeing/hearing that Chanel are no longer as good as they used to be. Hope that doesn't come down to the perfumes.
Very informative and awesome video. I'm really getting into this line. Le Lion & Coromandel for me. Two of the most beautiful fragrances ever along with Sycomore.
Green Paradise! Nice nod to Herbert brother. Love love love Coromandel, was the first Exclusif I smelled and still has my heart, hope to get a bottle soon.
Fantastic list! I like Comete, just waiting for a tester bottle to come about. The current retail prices are tough to swallow. But I really like the embossed box. So tempting lol!
Thank you ! Great, you enjoyed Comète! Yeah, the pricing is appalling these days. The special box is really nice.. Luckily I was able to get an offer online
Thanks for sharing your insights. I plan to treat myself to a couple of these this summer. Between your reviews and Persolaise's, I am leaning toward Bois des Iles and Coromandel. Looking forward to your next perfume storytime session!
Fantastic video I recently find your channel here on TH-cam and I’ve been really enjoying every single video… this particular one was very fun and educating one. Je vous souhaite bonne chance
Our lists are pretty similar, except Boy that lands pretty high for me. That said: I've owned two bottles of Boy. One was much more powdery/geranium-driven and another was an aldehyde bomb with the other parts of the fougere further in the background. And when I test this while my while is bag shopping at the boutiques, I've noticed pretty big differences bottle to bottle. The only other Chanel Exclusif I've seen this in is Le Lion, where some bottles are deep bombs of labdanum and others have that aldehyde top much more pronounced. Have you seen this?
Excellent! Boy is fantastic.. one of the best fougère fragrances I own. Certainly the best modern one. It just goes to show how strong this collection is. Wow, I haven't noticed that noticeable differences within different bottles of Boy and Le Lion. I thought so also, with them being relatively recent releases.. may need to sniff them at the boutique
I love that piano sound more than any fragrance, but from this list I would choose Cuir de Russie as number 1. Thank you my friend for this wonderful video. My Scent Of The Night is Chanel's Dart Vader - Antaeus Cheers bro.....
I think I love this entire Lineup. I only have Le Lion, but my heart wants Bel Respiro. In the 1980's I had Chanel for Men Cologne splash which I think is now Eau de Cologne. It's my favorite Cologne of all time. Classic.
For those who frequent Chanel boutiques, when the beauty advisors mention "Boy", they will say "Boy Chanel". Both words are meant to be mentioned together, that is why the space between "Boy" and "Chanel is much closer on the bottle compared to the rest of the Les Exclusifs. So, I guess the title of the fragrance will be "Boy Chanel"
Interesting Information. I have heard of this detail when it released and it's intriguing that they continue to call the name as such. Thanks for sharing.
@ScentZatura do you like it better than Sycomore? Now, I understand the two are not similar in the conventional sense, but to my nose, they inhabit the same olfactory continuum. They are both green, with Chêne much drier green on the spectrum. My Chêne bottle is from 2005/06, so the juice may have changed a lot since then. But for my money, this is the best Lutens, beating the usual suspects like Chergui and Ambre Sultan, handily. I prefer Sycomore to it, though, so I'm wondering where you stand on this.
Tried most of this line definitely don't suit me or my personality at all I think most are feminine but I will say the eau de cologne is the best eau de cologne I have tried so far. Its so good

Wow, Sycomore from that time must be amazing. Them Exclusifs also didn't cost an arm and a leg I reckon. Absolutely love Geranium Pour Monsieur

Thanks brother🫂 Coromandel is a special one indeed.

Great Line indeed. Bel Respiro is a fantastic bucolic perfume!
Wow, I wasn't aware that it's the same as the 80's cologne. Thanks for sharing!
Immaculately presented as usual. Today I learned that Beige is used as a room scent in all Chanel boutiques
Thanks for your words Tim!
Yes, Beige and 31 Rue Cambon are sprayed at their boutiques apparently
Wow, good to know
Perfect , thanks for Les Exclusifs
Cheers Miles!
Really great reviews here. Curious which is the other Western vetiver that you like?
Thank you!
The other one is Vetiver Extraordinaire from Frederic Malle

From the Les Exclusifs that you own, which ones are EDTs?
Misia, Cuir de Russie, Bel Respiro, 31 Rue Cambon and Jersey
How do you feel about Dior privee
I do like Dior Privée... Some of the newer releases are not for me though. I got some videos including a Top 5 on the channel
@@ScentZatura awesome, I'll check that out
😍🙌
👋✌️
What about Chêne ?
From Serge Lutens? In what context?

I haven't smelled it in a while. Don't think I like it more than Sycomore
@@ScentZatura merci de m'avoir donné la réponse, c'est sympa 👍
Unbelievable how there's no le lion
Le Lion was there! 😆
@@ScentZatura I'm high AF 😂 NGL I was zoned out
Bwahaha😂 I took a sec to rethink and I was sure I covered the entire collection.
@@ScentZatura I Guess That' was a good thing because I just went back and watched the whole video again 😊

I totally see what you mean. They are a bit of an acquired taste.
Yes, the Eau de Cologne is fantastic indeed!
