I've had my 2006 Fusion for 12 years and the display has been out completely for about 8 years. It would occasionally come back if it was really cold (0 F) and you gave it thump. After awhile even that stopped working and just dealt with it. After following the guidelines in your video I was able to restore the display. Thank you so much. Had similar problems on an 2 Escorts, what is the deal Ford? Over 110k views for this video tells me this is a design flaw/QC issue.

I just installed a radio into my 2007 Ford Fusion and the steep works fine but now my battery light and engine light is on , do you think I installed it wrong?
I just removed the radio. There was no anti-theft strip that I saw, and it worked fine for me not disconnecting the battery, though it might not be a bad idea to do so.
So once you remove and umasseble the radio. Is it just a bulb that goes in Somewhere. I feel like I was bamboozled because he didn't show what to do next
You need to take the faceplate off (video 2 of 4) then re-solder four resistors (video 3 of 4) I don't have video editing software... or even a great camera, sorry. I'm having the same problem. Thanks for the videos. I'm also having a problem with my CD changer. It won't play CDs and now it's making a clicking noise everytime I start my car, last about 10 seconds. Very annoying. I need help.
Does the clicking noise sound like the one in my other video (at 32 second mark - link below) where the changer is resetting itself after power is first applied? thats exactly whats happening to mine right now on a 2007 i just bought if i push hard on the display it brightens up for a bit then fades dark again starting from the edges ,. a friend of mine is giving me a 7" full touch screen radio to put in to replace it.
Yup, mine originally started fading out at the sides too. Re-soldering the four resistors shown in these videos fixed the problem. You could re-solder them and sell your old stereo :)

Thanks - The way you held the camera gave us a better view of the plug removal than you, but it will be a huge help when I’m pulling my radio.
