Back in the eighties, we laid up the èngine hatch. They were black gelcoat for most, white for the Miami Vice. You can attach stuff with epoxy to polyester resins, but polyester resins are not for epoxy. Our layup finished with a mirrored sheet of polished metal on Formica. System 3 Epoxy was used and 15 buckets of sand.
