Just a few things I've caught, noticed or which are interesting: - The ladies over at the Tuffelbaan were talking about self-mocking statements someone made, and someone else apparently failed to understand the nature? (Zelfspot is the Dutch word they used) - VIP passes are only handed out by Efteling personnel and allow you entrance via the disabled persons entrance. Single use, they're handed out if technical defects or such spoil the enjoyment of the attraction. Never lose them - they're never bound to a person. Efteling personnel has to sign them off before handing them out. - It's Land van Laaf. Can't tell you how to pronounce that one - it's got no comparable sound in English that I know of with Laaf. Sorry 😅 - Ravelijn - pronounce the ijn like -ine but with a softer n. - If you hadn't been told it yet before - Symbolica starts with a note by the minister that you're about to visit the king and he wants to read out some rules/guidance, but at that point Pardoes interferes. The minister protests, but not much use to that 😂 He never knew there was a secret stair😂 When Pardoes casts Fantasia for the first time, he says 'Use your imagination'. In the first 'stuck' room when you get trapped by the minister Pardoes does tell you to press the buttons, and you're expected to remember that. Later the minister at the banket says 'Too bad, too late', king says in his portrait 'It was an honour' - During the summer holidays queue times DO go up, sometimes a waiting time of 75-90 minutes. Same for the Winter Efteling in the Christmas holidays. - The Netherlands has got 3 school holiday areas - Noord/North, Midden/Middle and Zuid/South. Most Efteling visitors tend to be from the Midden&Zuid regions as far as I'm aware, so when Noord is the sole holiday region 'left' the Efteling tends to be less busy. Holiday schedules for the Netherlands - in Dutch - can be found at www.rijksoverheid.nl/onderwerpen/schoolvakanties/overzicht-schoolvakanties-per-schooljaar/overzicht-schoolvakanties-2024-2025 for the 2024/2025 year. - I think I saw you use it last year, but the Efteling uses an indication system per day how busy they'll expect it to be (mostly the weather, weekday/weekend and holiday or not seem to determine that). With normal queues can generally last up to 45 minutes, busy will generate up to 90 ( in very rare cases worse). With opening days for new attractions it can get worse - the opening of Danse Macabre averaged waiting times of 240+ minutes for that attraction. - The building permission of the Efteling allows to build more coasters behind the Python in area they already have, as long as they keep to the existing nature % and building height restrictions. - Most toasted bread in the Netherlands tends to have the sauce already inbetween the slices - During the Winter Efteling not all attractions will be in operation, especially some coasters like De Vliegende Hollander and Joris en de Draak might be closed. Saw the vlog that came after this one, now to watch the earlier ones 😅 Hope you enjoyed the days at the Efteling and Beekse Bergen 😊
40:50 that is Villa Pardoes. Accomodation for families with disabled children. They get 5 days of entertainment and fun programming and that also means 5 days of free efteling visits. My family went there for my sister back in 2015.
Let's try and do this... "De Oude Tufferbaan" "De" as in "Demand". We'll break up the next word into "Ou" as the "o" in "tower" and "de" the same as before. "Tufferbaan" I am not gonna lie this one was harder to explain, "Tu" like the "te" in "interresting" where the "e" is more of an "uhh" sound, "ffer" is the same as "fur" (may sound a bit more like American English) even though the first "f"is technically part of the "Tu" sound most people will probably not hear the difference, "baan" I can not for the life of me find a word in English that has the same sound in it, you pronounce it quite well (sound a bit more German than Dutch) all I can say is the "aa" sound of it happens more in the back of the mouth in stead of in front, I have no idea if that helps at all. You guys do really well with "Joris en de Draak" its just a matter of rolling your "r"s a bit more, that goes for most pronunciations in Dutch. As long as you roll your "r" and make the "g" sound like you staring up an old car in the winter you'll be perfect.
@@BrentMeirmans I thought that at first as well, but we pronounce our "T" pretty harsh compared to "tougher". Then again typing things out for people to understand is not easy in any way shape or form.

Wow - thank you so much ☺️ ❤️
The "fountain" with the fish is actually a wishing well... the money collected from the bottom is donated to "save the children".
That’s awesome to know ☺️
Great to see you guys in Efteling again! Great vlog
Thank you 🙏

tuffer is pronounced like the english ''tougher''

Nicely done maat! 👏
@@BrentMeirmansI don't agree with that. Tougher sounds more like toffer, not tuffer.
