About the Python being smooth, it didnt used to be. They rebuild the coaster in 2018, keeping the layout the same (apart from some very small changes to make the turns smoother) but replacing the tracks completly. This helped soo much for the enyoyment of the ride.
Glad to see you liked Efteling. I live about 20 minutes away from it and I visit it quite often. I absolutely love being there! Efteling might not be outstanding when it comes to thrillrides, but there’s just a magical, immersive atmosphere there, and that’s what I like about Efteling!
Went to Carnival festival, but did not go the neighbour Vogel Rok? Not that you could film the inside, but would have loved to hear your thoughts about this indoor coaster.
i did do vogel rock, but like you say the footage is too dark. i enjoyed the coaster, it as more thrilling than i expected. i had an old lady in front of me ho didnt know it as a coaster, i was concerned for her the hole time
Love the love you gave to my childhood park. Will you come visit my local park next? Its called Toverland and is located in Sevenum Netherlands. Only am hour away from efteling
@TTHBLOX_ yes I want to go to Toverland to ride Troy and Fenix. Also want to go to Walabi Holland too. Trying to get my Bucket list park in Euorpe done so Europa Park on Germany will be next trip.
Really good introduction to Efteling Neil and Happy New Year, got me thinking did you use Harwich to Hook of Holland seems nice short drive from there, thinking of going autumn once new hotel opens
Such a lovely park. I bet the new hotel will be expensive. Yes we went from harwich, if you take the day ferry I advise getting a cabin, it's a boring journey and if you can't get near a socket it will be painful.
Great vlog! It seems like you had a great time, and you captured the atmosphere really well. Like you said, Efteling isn't about the thrill rides, but it's more of a family park. With lots of nature and, I think, just in general a lovely place to be and experience the atmosphere. I feel like Baron used to be a lot smoother, but it became a bit more rough lately, especially in the back row. I don't know enough about rollercoasters to explain how that happens, but it's definitely something I noticed. Of course Fata Morgana isn't up to Disney standards. It's almost 40 years old, so the technology (and worldview) was different back then. I'm happy they still haven't demolished it, though, because of nostalgic reasons. And it seems like it's still holding it's own, which I think is impressive for a 40 year old attraction 😅
@hairyfarfeather completely agree some rides were better and some worse than I expected but as you said it's the atmosphere and character of the park that makes it special and what I find makes it better than DLP
Fata Morgana is not about Sinbad. Vogel Rok and Sirroco are. Fata Morgana is about visiting the forbidden city of 1001 nights. You enter a jungle where you meet a wizard that opens the door to the forbidden city, where you will see every part of it, until in the end, the wizard was never there, you dreamed it, and when entering the jungle, you realise it was all a mirage, all a Fata Morgana... One of the best executed stories in any darkride in the world. Also, the darkness of De Vliegende Hollander is, because the Flying Dutchman was lost at sea, and they wanted to simulate you being lost at sea as well.
Good to see the vlogs back! And good vlog of the park, nice tour of rides etc, still gotta say think Disney is better, eftling looks more on par with alton for themeing and rides, anyway good to your return in 25
Disneyland is amazing, this park does have the money or size but the themeing is everywhere from the bins and lampposts to probably the best entrance to a park. It outshines disney with its charm and character, and never feels like a cash grab. Alton doesn't come close in terms of theming.
Baron 1998, don't make me say it in Dutch, I refuse!" Wise words, my dear English speaking man :) Although it's always fun seeing people throw up their lungs trying to pronounce it.

@reactions1738 no mater how I think Dutch is pronounced I am gonna get it wrong.
You didn’t do danse macabre? Wasn’t it open when you visited? Also I’m pretty sure Fata Morgana is way older than the pirates of the Caribbean ride.
Filmed in September before it opened unfortunatly.
Pirates - 1967 and Fata Mogana 1986, although Efteling inspired Walt to build Disneyland
@ oh, I wish I could say you didn’t miss out, but you did 😔
@mag7142 max and moritz was closed too so lots to go back for
@@Nox_TravelsYou don't need to come back for Max and Moritz 😅, but definetly for Dance Macabre!
Baron 1898... 1898 "achtien-acht-en-negentig"
@@rmyikzelf5604 I couldn't attempt to say negentig without it being taught to me. But thanks for posting the Dutch for it.
Finally got round to uploading it lol.. look ok. Not quite as good as Disney 😊
Depends what your criteria is but I prefer it to Paris.
