  • On 18 March 1993, Diana, Princess of Wales made a powerful speech on the subject of teenage homelessness. She was speaking at an event organised by the homelessness charity Centre Point at the QEII centre in London. The Princess of Wales spoke about the range of abusive or otherwise traumatic experiences that often drove young people to leave their homes, and the need for society to adopt a parental attitude to young people in such a vulnerable position.
    Diana's son, Prince William, Prince of Wales has launched a five-year campaign to end homelessness. Speaking of the common need for a "safe and secure home", Prince William described homelessness as a problem out of place in a "modern and progressive society". The Prince of Wales has visited cities across the UK including Aberdeen and Belfast as dedicates himself in the long term to a cause close to his mother's heart.

    Yes all the speeches are written for them. So what is the problem? Thats why all the royals got a pruvate secretary. But they gave their inputs. I cant sea anything wrong in that. Cool down!!

    The day after her divorce, she announced her resignation from over 100 charities and retained patronages of only six: Centrepoint, English National Ballet, Great Ormond Street Hospital, The Leprosy Mission, National AIDS Trust, and the Royal Marsden Hospital.[198] She continued her work with the British Red Cross Anti-Personnel Land Mines Campaign, but was no longer listed as patron.

      After her divorce ,Diana gave up a lot of her charities. She went on holidays traveled to exotic places , had numerous lovers. Now divorced her children in boarding school and a lot less royal duties diana was free to live her life with freedom and have the teenage existence , she missed out on.

    Prince William carrying on his mother's legacy . This is awesome .Very well done Prince William . The Homewards project to end homelessness is going to make a difference to so many lives .I couldn't be more proud of the man Prince William has become . He will be a wonderful and loyal support to his Father , King Charles , and is one son who can be trusted and relied upon . Our prince of Wales will make a fine king one day , With His dedication to duty , his loyalty ,and having such a strong connection to the public of all ages in the UK and the Commonwealth . It's not surprising that Prince William and his lovely wife are so loved by so many throughout the UK and all over the world. I applaud and respect the Wonderful Prince and Princess of Wales .

    I loved Diana but if she felt so strongly why did she leave so much money to her sons in her will despite them not really needing it.

    • @be_you2023
      @be_you2023 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Perhaps she believed they would continue to do her work, which would also require money.
      We all know that Harry is to receive most of her funds. Sadly, he and his wife (his wife moreso) have shown they will squander it away on their self serving benefit. An insult I am sure to her memory.
      I am grateful that Prince William is using his time and affluence to continue her work. All is not lost.

      Why Diana didn't donate some of her money to help the homeless it would have done more good than her speech her work did not help the homeless , it did not reduce the homeless numbers at all. Money would have helped not all but for many it could have made a difference to many.
