    The giant egg shows that Sea-Monkeys look awesome in such an enormous environment. I know companies market to younger ages to start, but fans grow up. Someone should officially produce a significantly larger aquarium (with a built-in air line), aimed at serious adult collectors. Regarding the egg-shaped kit, I'd like it more if it included something like a castle or a cave at the base, for atmosphere. Otherwise, you may as well raise your pets in a large brandy snifter (which I may do, now that I think about it). This channel consistently provides informative, intelligent content in a genuinely enthusiastic (& often humorous) manner, & I look forward to every new upload. Thanks again as always!

    I'd love to see you try to turn the big tank into a fully self-sustaining ecosystem (other than heat and maybe oxygen). Seems like it'd be the perfect size for it

  • @Vel_178
    @Vel_178 18 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา +5

    Yes they should step these up to a least 0,5 gallon plastic fishbowls. Sure cant be that much to mass produce. I've a 5 gallon culture going, generic eggs + salt. And soon moving them to a 12 gallon big tank. Found more mass of water runs more stable when doing mistakes in feeding. Whole thing "shakes" a little but evens out soon.

    • @pico-cosmos
      @pico-cosmos  18 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา

      Yeah that’s very true about larger tanks having more stable water parameters. I guess this tank must’ve not sold very well though considering they stopped producing it :/ Toy retailers probably prefer smaller products for their shelves too

    • @Vel_178
      @Vel_178 18 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา +2

      @@pico-cosmos Maybe the pricing, when it stops being a toy. Then I look at legos and see 200 bucks sets being sold no problem. Subscriber count wouldn't suggest there is no interest in adult size sets.

    Unrelated, but the Arizona science center has a giant ecosphere which is basically a large glass orb! i wonder if you could make something like that and use a custom lid?

    Hey, I've been watching your videos with my son, and I recently got him an aqua dragons tank because of you. Anyway I've got a question for you. I live in the U.S. so I can't buy the same stuff on Amazon as Eureopeans, meaning I can't order the aqua dragon food packets directly and would have to order a whole start up kit any time I needed more food. It seems a waste to do it like that. Are there any more sustainable food options like a shrimp feed or something you recommend instead?

    The pet sets seem a bit to small and unrealistic to me.

      Add finest sand you can find like shrimp safe sand or 0,1 mm grain. Add 40 ppt or 40 grams/liter. Fill half and make a line. Then let it sit outside in the garden or on window sill in direct sun for a 1 month and only top off water till its covered in algae from top to bottom. No heater, no air. Forget it till its green lol.
      With the boring part out of the way, remove water and fill up as before, now full. I've a 5 gallon culture going this way after many many failed attempts. And probably due watching this channel it finally working.
      Dont follow this but heres mine:
      5 gallon 60 ppt salt.
      Artemia Parthenogenetica (a s__ reproduction).
      79F, PH 8,2
      Holestones for algae to grow on. These work mad, they covered in green stuff really fast.
      Dont realy need to feed the anymore. The adults eat algae and the babies get spirulina powder every friday.

    How do i get the population up

    • @pico-cosmos
      @pico-cosmos  18 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา +1

      If conditions are good the population will naturally increase with time. The best way to ensure they grow well and reproduce is to feed them live microalgae
