    My match is with the guy from 3 minute board games, its 100% in common, my top 10 is identical to his top 10. Spooky!
    Roll camera is 100% group dependent. My group are just a bunch of numnuts so it goes off for us like a box of fireworks. Also, for a channel called one stop co-op shop, you really should try Thunderbirds.

    I learned that, ironically, I'm close to Mike in tastes - with some exceptions (Ie, I like Marvel United more, I like Marvel Champions more than Arkham Horror LCG though I love both).
    I found myself slowly, progressively agreeing with each consecutive list more and more, heh.
    I've also heard that Massive Darkness 2 is supposedly fun in standalone mode, and that only the campaign mode is bad, but I can't personally attest to that as I've never played it.

    Awesome video idea Mike! A lot of games in my top 10 are in this video, so I decided to apply your formula to my list to see how I would rank on this list. Here is my top 10 and the score you would have given them:
    1. Exceed - 10
    2. Age of Innovation - 5
    3. Dune Imperium Uprising - 6
    4. Spirit Island - 9
    5. Summoner Wars 2nd ed - 9
    6. Sakura Arms - 8
    7. Unlock! - 9
    8. La Famiglia - 5
    9. Ark Nova - 7
    10. Frosthaven - 7
    I took a guess at how you would rank Exceed, Sakura Arms and Unlock based on the way you talked about them on this channel. Please tell me if my estimations were off, but if I'm correct, I would score 75 - higher than everyone on this list! Hope you can see this comment and confirm😁

    I would have made top 10 I think, it depends on how you rate Cascadia, Codenames Duet and Flip Ships.

    Spirit Island (9)
    The Crew (9)
    Marvel Champions (7)

    • @OneStopCoopShop
      @OneStopCoopShop  9 วันที่ผ่านมา

      A 7 by the BGG scale means “good game, usually willing to play”, which is a pretty high rating by my standards. While a 5 is “average, take it or leave it”. I think a 5 is much more fair for something I’ve never played and haven’t made a big effort to try

    • @ALeXKazik
      @ALeXKazik 9 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@OneStopCoopShop If you hadn't played the games because like everybody did hide some random games from you then the average of them should be close to the average of all you played - but I guess it's more like you didn't play (avoided) some/all of the games not on purpose, so 5 can be fair. (The average of all BGG scores of all games is about 5.5.)

    Do you update your BGG ratings? I went to your profile to see how my ratings match up but some scores were different than in this video and some games were missing that I know you've played and enjoy.
    Your BGG rating of Uprising Curse of the Last Emperor is a 9 (last updated in 2020 I'm guessing from the original crowdfunding plays)
    Dawn of the Zeds also didn't have a rating.
    I rate Uprising a 10 (War of the Ring and Mage Knight are my other 10s) and DotZ 3rd edition a 9.
    My top 20-30 are almost exclusively thematic co-ops (with WotR the only outlier due to how amazingly it evokes the theme of my favorite IP) so we have a lot of matches in the 7+ range.

    • @OneStopCoopShop
      @OneStopCoopShop  9 วันที่ผ่านมา

      No, I stopped rating games some time after I started doing reviews, because I grew to dislike that rating system compared to the more flexible 5 in 5 system. Figuring out my numbers for the games in this video was a bit of a struggle, to be honest :)

      Yeah, it's a weird part of my tastes, I'll freely admit. I don't care much about "bling" in games, big miniatures and deluxe components, because they don't tend to contribute to my "thematic immersion" in the experience.
      But seeing how my actions connect with the world I am playing in, how the mechanics translate into thematically sound game effects, THAT plays a HUGE role in my immersion and enjoyment of many games.
      Not sure if that makes sense or not :)

    • @wombatgirl997
      @wombatgirl997 9 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      @@OneStopCoopShop It makes sense to me, because I am very similar. I am perfectly fine playing a game with bottle caps and dice I scrounged from old Monopoly boxes (and frankly would prefer that over paying $120 for a set of rules and a bunch of bespoke miniatures that take up way too much room on my shelf), but I also consider what the fiction of the game is when I decide how much I want to play it.
      To give an example, I held off on Mage Knight until recently because I am bored of generic fantasy games and really did not want to play another one even if people really liked it. Theme is the ticket to get me to the table, gameplay picks it up from there and decides how much I will keep playing.
