ABSER FEKIN LOOOOTLY xxx Heard him at Glastonbury (90sumfin) I danced on sum poor WHITE VAN MANZ van roof thro the whole set (2 4 away from the stage) shite faced N proud ovit x
Just brilliant ... a genius with the T Heads, but now just an amazing artist and sublimely creative force ... he genuinely looks so much happier in recent interviews and seems to have really found himself. Wonderful.
2.29 "the highways and cars were sacrificed for agriculture thought that we'd start over again ............ GUESS I WAS WRONG!" oh that sublime drum roll!
It took me awhile to realize what the lyrics to this song are actually talking about. It's an ingenious way to convey a complex idea. It could only have been written by a very savvy poet.
really interesting recording! can't really hear the guitar much, but it still functions as a great tune, even though i feel that the guitar parts were the focus of the original.
@@maddiewilliams8635And to think he was nervous as he had just left the avalanche - the break up of the Smiths merely weeks before. He went out for a walk to get rid of his anxiety. Came back and played the lead 12 string we hear on the record. Also played on Ruby Dear, Cool Water and Big Daddy :)
@@RaiseThePressure had the immense privilege of hearing him talk about the recording process when he was doing his book tour for "marr's guitars"; he played us the riff live and told the audience that it was the first time he'd played it since the session!
The line that says We Caught a rattlesnake now we got something for dinner is supposed to say we got it we got it not you got it, you got it, I know these lyrics I learned them many many years ago
"And as things fell apart, nobody paid much attention" is the most apt line.
You got it, you got it
that line and the last one "don't you leave me standing here, I can't get used to this lifestyle."
That line is quoted in American Psycho. That was my intro to this amazing song
Too busy with football season and virtue signalling.
I want to personally thank DB’s mum & dad for bringing him into the world 🌎❤️👍
How about we thank God for CREATING DB.

Love this song!
Probably the most unique artist artist in the music business
along with David Bowie
New fan here. He has the most unpretentious voice!!!
He once said in an interview that the less it sounds like singing, the more believable the singer is.
No man on earth has this stage presence as David does!
Wow. He looks and sounds great. Totally awesome, you got it.
He’s still performing, that says something about his fan base. He has great band behind him too. He is still drawing in the audiences.
Great song. And, he really can sing, among the all-time best.
DB still groovin, cool as the other side of the pillow.
Love David Byrne. Percussion is great on this too.
Fantastic song
Gorgeous and super talented. Take me David!
What a talent, one of the most recognize voices in rock, band is great.!!!!
David Byrne, the coolest nerd ever! Absolutely love that man (& Talking Heads)
One of the whackiest and what a voice, such talent

This is music for your soul.

shoutout to the heads for bringing in johnny marr as a collaborator on the OG track, his innovation really makes the song

Clerks 2 introduced me to this song 😂

MAS, ESSE CONCERT FOI MUITO RUIM!😮
Still, David Byrne’s sentiment brakes me.
I like him better when he was still with Talking Heads .
String Cheese Incident sent me here
No way. He needs a better band they don’t even sing backup. You’re all fired

I miss Johnny Marr on the guitar...
Eco
He drives a 69 Ford LTD with a 390 v8
He rides a Montague folding bicycle.
It's a shocker he's a trumper.
Noooooooo way!?!
he isn't at all, though. he has made clear his criticisms with trump
Awful sound mix.
