I applied to a nursing program & I got called in for an interview. I’m super excited. I don’t have any friends, or bf & my social life is negative zero so I’m 100% putting all my focus on school.
I just retired after 31 years as an RN,your advice is spot on!! Nursing is a science first and an art second. Your advice about A&P again spot on. you can't analyze what is going on with a sick patient without it. If you are going just for the salary, you may make it but you won't be able to hold the burn. I had a good run, am financially independent because of my nursing , shop around for schools and be ready to sacrifice there are still cost effective ways to go. I started in community college, I have a Phd. no regrets
Way to go! Congratulations on your achievements. As you stated there are cost effective ways to obtaining a career in nursing. There are scholarships available due to COVID-19, but like every good thing, you must put in the work to find what works for you. Enjoy your retirement.
I'm 52 and working hard on my last prerequisite before applying for nursing school in May 2020. Done with AP 1 and 2. It's been my lifetime dream/goal to become a MSN-RN, after raising 3 children I can finally fulfill. Thank you for this informative video. So grateful!! Abundant blessings and well wishes for all your doing. Peace and blessings to all.
Very motivational. I guess I get caught up by society trying to get my life together before it’s “too late”. I’m only 25 and feel silly for that even being a thought. You guys are very motivational and don’t give up. You got this.
Going into my second semester studying A&P this was definitely helpful. I'm in a accelerated program 8 weeks a semester and I take weekend classes. One of the requirements are obtaining a B+ all while watching my mother with early onset dementia. Talk about stressful. I will get through this. Pray for me.
My tip is, there are going to be some people that get A’s in everything, when everyone else is struggling. It’s not you. Most of that A team, already have the answers to the exam. They bought the test bank from online. If you ask them why the answer is the answer, they can’t explain it to you. Part of the reason they say “C nurses are better than A nurses”. I studied my ass off and was a 3.0 student, I didn’t understand how others were doing it and asked to join their study group. It wasn’t until almost the last semester that I realized they had the answers, that’s why they were keeping hush hush.
You're absolutely right....to a point. There's also another population of nursing students who actually read the textbook and utilize sources cover to cover. I was like that my junior and senior year and I aced EVERYTHING. I understood almost every concept. My first two years, I was barely getting by.
Genesis Kravitz there are ones that do. I didn’t say the only people that got A’s were cheaters, I never said that. You like me, we were doing everything and still sometimes praying to get that passing grade. I just said sometimes, when everyone else is failing and there’s 1 group passing, but they won’t let you in their study groups or try to help you get like them at all, they’re probably the ones cheating. Don’t feel bad about that C+, we earned that shit. We are great nurses bc of it. We know what it’s like to bust our butt, study, understand and build off of it. You miss that being given the answer. I was just saying to those doing that, don’t beat yourself up over that C+, that’s all
Yup and they have deprived themselves of education! A whole class( the whole program) just got busted in a state I know! They curved their grades and still let them become nurses, however, fired the instructors whos test ended up online! Now whos wrong! The o es that absolutely knows nothing that may one day be raking care of you and your loved ones or the instructors 🤦🏽♀️All because this school didnt want to lose their graduation ratio/ accreditation! So yes, just because your not an A student is not a reflection of the nurse you will be! Nonetheless, not all A student's CHEAT!
Tisha ________ once again, I NEVER SAID ALL A STUDENTS CHEAT!!! I said that some students do and to not feel bad for getting lower grades bc a lot of students like you just said do. It went on at your school, my school and a bunch of others. So don’t feel bad. You arrived and studied your butt off, like you were supposed to. A lot of the teachers in my school I was told would know about the cheating and not care or ask the students that decided to say something about the cheating “Why aren’t you friends with them then? Who’s fault is it that you didn’t have the answers”. I was in an accident and had to take a year off, I came back, we had a bunch of new professors and were using a different Med Surg book. Crazy.
I’m no expert in this topic, however, I spoke to a Doctor and he stated that not knowing how to balance your life can lead to burnout. Yes, you must dedicate most of your time to nursing school, but you need to make time to do other activities like go to the gym, spend it w family/friends etc. According to him, it’s important to have a balanced life like that.
My aunt is a lead member of a highly respected university medical faculty and she’s also a doctor in family practice. She stressed this so much! Take 20 minutes and stretch, play music or see people for an hour. Small amounts of time to relax are crucial to maintaining a good, well rounded life while you’re studying. I’ve learned this as I was a very serious classical musician for a while before I reconsidered for nursing. You gotta take a little time to be you even when it seems like you have none.
Sonia Maqsood I have a bad studying habit. It doesn’t stick for me if I study all week, I study a day before and I get to school a hour early to review my handwritten study guide. Works everytime!
I will be taking the entrance exam for the nursing program pretty soon! I’m going to become an LPN then I will go back to become an RN! I have fallen in love with your channel it is very helpful and interesting! Keep being you, love❤️
Everything you said in this video is spot on!!! I had to deal with jealous classmates and shadiness. I swear some classmates try so hard do get u in trouble trying to find out why your grades are so good . Smh now I know to stay away from these classmates keep my mouth shut!! Nursing school is so stressful and I had to break up with my boyfriend he was problematic and difficult I didn’t need that. But at the same time I’m gonna keep being disciplined cause nursing school is hard
Same thing happened to me with other women. I went to a private PWI for prevet and I remember some white girl was concerned about me wearing Abercrombie and trying to see what my grades were.
It's so interesting to me to hear this from so many other Nursing schools. I think I'm really blessed for the fact that my community is so close, like maybe a couple of people are competitive, but most aren't. I've actually made most of my friends in Nursing school. I'm in an ADN program, and everyone I talk to really just wants each other to succeed, so I can't relate in that sense, but in every other aspect that you talked about, FOR SURE.
Faustina A I’m not a nurse. but some advice that I will give you as a dropout trying to get back on track is: take a year off after high school before you start your college because if you go straight to College after high school you’re gonna burn yourself out so quick, it’s not even funny
appa the skybison I did 1 year doing general courses with a small credit load (eg. 9 credits instead of 16 credits) before I started the nursing program. It gave me a feeling of what is like university.
I'm 26 and just figured out I want to become a nurse. I have some pre req classes done but I stopped school at 19. I hope I can get it done. I'm married now with a child but I hope I can push through.
prissybell16 you can do it!!! I’m 35 now and I went back to school at 33 as a single mom with full custody of 3 kids between 6 and 2. I have 2 semesters left ! It’s been hard but doable. You got this!
This video was 100% spot on!! I did a bridge nursing program (LPN to RN) last year and it was a LOT of work from start to finish...........but totally worth it. I went to a community college and saved lots of money. One more important point that I would like to add is to make sure your nursing program has the proper accreditation (ex: ACEN or CCNE). Even if your state's board of nursing doesn't require program accreditation, your future employer might. I know someone who went to a fly-by-night nursing program, graduated with his ASN and got his RN license. However, when he applied to a university's BSN program, they wouldn't accept him because his previous school was not accredited. He also was not able to get a California RN license for the same reason. Do your research.
You are 100% right girl. I finished my RN in 2016. Let me tell you It was not easy. I was a single mom of two small children at the time. I was working fulltime. There were days when i would cry and tell myself in my head that i am not going back to school, it too much. When I wasn't at school I lived at my computer desk. I would make sure my boys were ok (clean, fed ect) and back to the desk to study do homework. Girl your talking truth! But it's very rewarding to hear patient say "thank you" or "I'm happy to see you today" that starts your day off right and when another asks are you leaving already? You know that what you are doing is making a difference in the lives of those you care for on a daily basis.
I plan on going to nursing school next year and this is the most helpful video out here. I am binge watching your channel.😄🙆🏽♀️ Changing from 25+ years of retail.
I just turned 40 and I’m worried that I waited too long but better late than never I just pray I can deal with this. It all sounds scary and intimidating but I’m ready for now thank you for this video it means so much!
I’m finally starting college in June trying to get all my prerequisite for my AS in Life of Science. I’m super excited yet I feel super blind and frustrated just thinking about what else am I going to expect before time comes when I start my Nursing program, which won’t start until the next 2 years maybe. But watching this I feel a bit more relaxed and I’m more alert now. My husband and I have talked so much about this nursing career and how are we going to take action. But thank you for putting your two cents out on TH-cam! I’m super excited to tackle down everything ahead of me and be more focused! ❤️❤️❤️
Hi Mercy, I am a nurse and my daughter has chosen the same path. Thanks for emphasizing the facts about nursing school so that it doesn’t look like I’m trying to scare her. You nailed it. Keep up the good work. Also I began watching your natural hair videos and at 52, my hair is thick and strong. It grows fast but I like it short. But thanks for the good tips. Blessings to you and your family.
Nursing school takes SOOOOO much of your time. Hopefully you have a supportive spouse, if not it will cause issues if they don't understand or refuse to understand. You are so right!! People will hate on you when you get better grades than them.
I'm so excited to become a nurse. I am planning on applying this semester to join the nursing program at my school in the spring. I know I can do it, I know it will be difficult and stressful, but I know in my heart that this is something I truly want to do. Thank you for the information!
i finished my first year of college, which was my nursing program prerequisite classes. the 28th, i start my nursing classes. i’m only 19 years old and by next year i will be able to sit for the nclex. i’m so scared but i feel as though i am so ready for this. 😭
I love the fact that you dnt sugarcoat anything. Nursing school is no joke. I’m especially with you about keeping your mouth shut cuz ppl will do messed up stuff becuz of jealousy. Bcuz it’s a cohort ppl tend to get comfortable with their classmates and let stuff slip but not I. I haven’t started nursing school yet But I have found the program that fits me well. One thing I do know is wen I start it’s eyes on the prize until the end. I told my family and my fiancé i won’t have time but he is going to be busy completing his Master’s degree so he will be busy too
Hey girl I’m so glad I came across your channel and I have been binge watching them as of yesterday. I pin on August 29 2019 for my lpn and I’m so proud, I’m excited, nervous and sleep deprived. I plan to continue on to my ADN. But the nerve of people to treat lpn so low. Regardless I’m a proud lpn and I can’t wait to see what my future looks like thanks for all your uploads girl your such a positive influence. And yes girl your absolutely correct nursing school owns you once your in not only have time for anything else you don’t even have time for yourself 😂🤣 just stay focused and and keep that same energy that you have once you have started guys lol
I did volunteer work a whole summer in icu..I left knowing nursing was not for me..I’m glad I took the time to do volunteer work, my friends & family who are nurses love it..now I’m looking into pharmacology schools..👍🏼👍🏼
Girl, you hit right on the spot...especially about the competitive nature amongst students..we had about 30 percent guys in our class and they were messier than the females at times.
I got to the end of the video and was ready to cry. I’m 26 and finally deciding to go back to school to become a nurse 🥳 The first time I graduated and got my degree I did it for everyone else . This time it’s for me! Thank you for shedding light & positivity ❣️
I definitely wasn’t prepared for how difficult nursing school was especially with a son and a husband, but I have an amazing husband who picked up a lot of the things that I couldn’t do so that I could of focus on school. I look back at those days and some days I didn’t think I could make it but I made it and I’ve been a for 5 years now.
Hey Mercy!! I’m listening to all your advice. I agree with you about the privacy college and community college. I’m at a COMMUNITY COLLEGE and I love it. Taking my last prerequisite class, will be taking the entrance exam in January. TFS Mercy, and letting us know what to expect!!👍🏾☺️
Currently in my second semester of nursing school. I’ve been so overwhelmed and depressed lately, really questioning if this is for me! Watched your video hoping to find a little bit of motivation to keep pushing! It was reassuring at the end! Thank you!
Everything Mercy says here is TRUE!!!! Omg I wish I saw this video before I did nursing school it would've put things in so much perspective because I didn't get the raw detailed truth from people I asked. Thank you!!
I just got accepted into nursing school, I have 5 children a husband I'm 35yo. Do you have any advice for me? How do you get through it? This is a dream but I feel so old starting now.
I graduated NS at 51 years old. It took me 7 years to finish everything with working full time and going to school. Everything this young lady states in this video is true. My being an older student, I didn't have to deal with the drama from other students, I didn't have time for that. I also had a very sick husband who was in and out of the hospital and many nights I had to sit with him sometime late into the night knowing I had to be in class at 8 AM. Once, my husband was on the same floor we were doing clinical. I told my teacher I did not want any of my classmates assigned to him and she honored my wish. My major advice is to study from day one. Don''t wait until right before a test and now your going to start studying. I taped my classes and would listen to my tapes in my car as I drove. Whatever notes I took, I read over everyday. I don't know how old your children are but, have a discussion with them re they may have to take on a little responsibility around the house. Being an older student in the class can bring a more realistic and different prospect to class discussions, so don't worry about being older than the others. Don't start doubting yourself, you can do this.
@@bethonetwo Thank you so much Ms.Joyce, I have been praying fo Christ to order my steps and you just gave me the answers I needed . My children range from 4 to 14 and with five man it's crazy. I just dont want to wait any longer. I pray all is well with your spouse and your teacher i have so much respect for. Watch out April BSN program here i come. Again thank you

I am 5 going on 6 months out of undergrad (received my B.S. in Health Sciences), and I am in process of applying to an ADN (RN) program to start January 2021. During times of questioning my career choice of Nursing, I often feel doubtful. In the beginning of hearing your tips, I did feel doubtful, but at the end, I feel more mentally prepared for nursing school and the nursing profession. I really needed to hear these tips. Thank you.
I’m currently an NRCMA, so I’m already in the medical field and have a lot of clinical skills, I’m 24 and I’m 31 weeks pregnant with my first child I always wanted to go back to do Nursing but this helped me a lot hearing the honest truth. It might take me a while to go back but I’m determined because I want to elevate myself, even though it will be challenging and a lot of sacrifice especially with a child. I will pace myself and not jump right in, I want to prepare my mind mentally before I go back to school because my life is about to change but I still want to be encouraged. Thanks for this❤️
I’m crying while watching the video because I want to be a nurse. I have so many things going on my life. I don’t have the courage to finish it. I already have my pre-requisite class but I have a hard time to pass the HESI test to go in the program. I don’t know if I’m going to be able to finish. God knows my heart.
Wow, this is me too! I took the HESI twice. The first time I missed by one point, the second time I missed by four points. Sometimes I wonder if I supposed to be an nurse or go into HR
This was very helpful, I am very serious about becoming a nurse. I greatly appreciate you being open about nursing. i planning on starting Nursing School in Spring 2020 to obtain my BSN. Thank You Thank you!!
Continue to your nurse practitioner, it saved my life! Working in the field is hard work now days. It's so physical, you feel like your at the gym 12 hours! Wow
I remember beginning medical classes when I first began college & had no social life & my friends & family like oh I never hear from & like I’m busy with school
picture?, you are talking about me in my journey to get my RN license. I graduated in 1984. I worked full time as an LPN while going to nursing school. I literally had a girl to lie on me trying to get me kicked out of the nursing program. But it didn't work... I graduated with honors! Love nursing, specialty was neonatal ICU. NOW I'm a certified case manager and provider appeals nurse for a major insurance company. Lots of different avenues in nursing other than floor/bedside nursing. Good luck to all nurses and future nurses!!!!
I’m in LPN school with one semester left. I can say you’re 100% on point! It’s takes up your whole life, you can’t wing test, and you can’t tell people your grades because it’s very “high school” when it comes to your fellow students. It’s tough but being prepared helps.
Thank you so much!! I'm going to begin the program this August and right now I'm trying to enjoy my summer as stress-free as possible, though I am excited for what comes :)
I am in my Junior year of nursing school and I can tell you she is telling the TRUTH! Please listen and take her advice. Good luck with your new journey.
Hi, I'm a mother of two (4yr& 15mo.) and I wanted to know more about nursing and maybe change my career as a nurse. Thank you for being honest about what it's like being a nurse. I don't know how I'm going to manage time to study when I have two young kids and a husband to take care of. I have my MA but I am more drawn to nursing and I'm not sure if this is a good idea. Any advice for a mom who's interested in nursing? I am already getting anxious.
Very great video! I completed the LPN program ~4 years ago and passed my Nclex. Now I’m back in nursing school going for my RN and I needed to be reminded of challenges of nursing school. It’s like a completely forgot.
Don't be. You would be surprise to find out the amount of people routing for you. Since this generation seem not to be sure of where they are going or want in this world. We are routing for you.
I am currently a senior in high school and planning on pursuing a career in nursing. Is nursing school difficult? What do you have to do in the first semester along with the second. Also congrats!
Im 14 years old in highschool. I want to work in the medical field. now i shouldn't stress badly but consider what i want to be and colleges to go to, this was a very big eye opener for me. Thank u so much! :)
Thankk you so much for this video! I needed to hear this. Im a very caring person and is going to take nursing as a path for my future .. Im still young and starting to go to school for this !❤️✨ Im going to focus and study hard to Be where you are at ! Until I reach my goal.., Thank you✨✨
OMG!!! I’m going to the same school you went to now. I have two weeks left and I’ll be finished my first year. It is extremely expensive. A lot of us had to retake certain classes because there wasn’t a lab with our class from our previous schools. I start clinical in January and I’m excited and nervous at the same time.
WOWWWWW! this video covered almost everything that need to know before starting nursing school. I completely relate my life to this. Thanks million my Mercy!
This is my first year at the same school you went to, so your absolutely right. Hard lesson, I learned is doing almost ALL of my pre reqs there except for 2 classes. So you already KNOW...how that goes.
yes girl! that is true about keeping your mouth SHUT! I never share my grade with ANYONE especially being the only person if color in the program! I just change the subject or say "The test was okay......." Its sad it has to be like the but.....thats the way it is.
My childhood dream was to be a nurse but few people long the way put me off and would say negative things about the career. So after high school I didn't know what to do.....so did few Diploma courses in Business and attempted to do nursing but failed. Fast forward few years later. Had my son at 26....then relationship break down a year later and......was heartbroken but it made me even more determined to finish Nursing school. It was hell as a Single mother... baby's father moved interstate and so I paid thousands into childcare over the 3yrs....... Gained weight...was miserable most times....and the nursing was strict! Also didn't have a car for a year.....but prayed every night..and worked soo hard into my assignments and been on time for classes and placements...... And passed everything!! It was worth it in the end. Now my son is 7 soon and about to be in grade 2.....and working hard still and bought myself new car last year. "Mind over matter" was my motto. 😊🙏🏼 And the Lord Jesus! (You have to have a set goal in mind and strive everyday towards that goal) PS. Everything she says is 100% trueee!!!! Listen to her! And don't take things personally with certain teachers ...they just want U to pass!
I like hearing your true story about your nursing experienced then any of the others nurses that described their experiences in the TH-cam. You tell it straight up. Others nurses seem to glamorize it more.👍😁
Do your prerequisites at a community college and graduate first. My entire nursing school minus 3-5 people all graduated from a CC before enrolling into our private school. We had 3.4-3.8 GPAs and couldn’t get in the CC nursing programs bc they’re that competitive.
Thank you for this! I’m a junior in high school and I’m very stressed trying to figure out what I want to do as a future and career and this helped me understand more about jobs I was considering
Wow I took sooo much notes! I’m still a sophomore in high school and wanted to do my research before I graduate and BOIIII I am shook I thought nursing school was gonna be easy😭😭
I'm actually taking my prerequisites for the adn program at my community college and I was wondering if I should just go ahead and finish my bsn prerequisites along with my adn prerequisites now I know that I should just finish all of my prerequisites before going into the adn and bsn program
What you are saying is sooo true. I am not a nurse but my neice is a mental nurse and i have other family who are into nursing. It is not for everybody. Characteristics also goes with it. Continue educating people because it is important.
Wooow this is awesome. So soo many times I wanted to quit Nursing school because of all the things you talked about but thank God I didn't. I love my job with everything within me
I’m starting school in September (right around the corner 😬😯) and it’s for a BSN. The good thing is that it’s a 3-yr program but GIRL did I feel you when you said it’s going to be expensive!! I spent over $3000 for nursing school 💸💸🤧🥴
This video is VARY helpful. I am 19 in my first year of college. I wanted to get my associates in nursing but I couldn’t due to the fact that I’m a student athlete and the course is too heavy and it collides with my basketball schedule but I can’t not play basketball because it’s the scholarship that’s paying for my school right now. Instead I’m just getting my associates in science. which includes a lot of core classes for getting a BSN. After my two years here I’ll stop playing basketball and just figure out other ways to pay and continue my education. But anyways thanks , Will continue to watch your videos! 💜
I love your channel. When you said you are Liberian, I immediately thought of this song: "Liberian girl You came and you changed my world A love so brand new Liberian girl You came and you changed my world A feeling so true" - Michael Jackson
After seeing this video, I can say the Marines prepped me pretty well for the stress, time and task priority and sacrifice. When she spoke about everyone being top tier, the Marines is the same every person is cool with each other but in the long run they are your competition. After 15 years in and almost done with my pre reqs, I invite the rest in. Its all mental, but you can spot those who want it and those who think it is "cool". VERY GOOD video girl.
I passed my exit exam yesterday, best day of my life 🙏🏾

I agree lol
Me too it was emotional. I couldn't handle it while have 3 small kids and little support
lyn how should you study and how many questions are usually on your exams / quizzes and do you fail the program if you fail 1 test
All school is miserable for meee 😭 get it over withhh
A guy tried to date me while I was in nursing school I literally told him that I have no life until I finish nursing school 🤣
Good for you girl. Tell him! Lol

I was just saying to those doing that, don’t beat yourself up over that C+, that’s all
smc5127 I understood what you meant. I completely agree!
Karina Alejandre agree
My aunt is a lead member of a highly respected university medical faculty and she’s also a doctor in family practice. She stressed this so much! Take 20 minutes and stretch, play music or see people for an hour. Small amounts of time to relax are crucial to maintaining a good, well rounded life while you’re studying. I’ve learned this as I was a very serious classical musician for a while before I reconsidered for nursing. You gotta take a little time to be you even when it seems like you have none.
this is sooooooo true
Nursing school has been so good to me! Find the way that studying works for you guys. 💕 3.7 gpa! 24 weeks left!
What school did you go to?
Highly Favored Dorsey Schools in Michigan, private school offers LPN.
How do you study?
Please share those tips
Sonia Maqsood I have a bad studying habit. It doesn’t stick for me if I study all week, I study a day before and I get to school a hour early to review my handwritten study guide. Works everytime!
I will be taking the entrance exam for the nursing program pretty soon! I’m going to become an LPN then I will go back to become an RN! I have fallen in love with your channel it is very helpful and interesting! Keep being you, love❤️
Nursing school will chew you up and spit you back out. It is no joke!! I agree with everything you said in this video. 🙌🏽
Not that serious
Everything you said in this video is spot on!!! I had to deal with jealous classmates and shadiness. I swear some classmates try so hard do get u in trouble trying to find out why your grades are so good . Smh now I know to stay away from these classmates keep my mouth shut!! Nursing school is so stressful and I had to break up with my boyfriend he was problematic and difficult I didn’t need that. But at the same time I’m gonna keep being disciplined cause nursing school is hard
Good for you for breaking up with your boyfriend. He is not deserving. He should be very supportive and understand your situation.
Yessss going through those jealous classmates now I keep away. They will try to get you in trouble or make u look stupid
I am a sophomore in high school. Lord did you just scare me 😭
I am in my senior year in nursing school and this is the truth. Mercy not lying at all.
Faustina A I’m not a nurse. but some advice that I will give you as a dropout trying to get back on track is: take a year off after high school before you start your college because if you go straight to College after high school you’re gonna burn yourself out so quick, it’s not even funny
Faustina A ME TOO LOL
appa the skybison
I did 1 year doing general courses with a small credit load (eg. 9 credits instead of 16 credits) before I started the nursing program. It gave me a feeling of what is like university.
Same omg
I'm 26 and just figured out I want to become a nurse. I have some pre req classes done but I stopped school at 19. I hope I can get it done. I'm married now with a child but I hope I can push through.
@@mercygonoRN thank you!!!
I'm turning 27 soon, and in the same situation. We can do this:)
@@maryyalda548 Yes we can💜
I took Anatomy and Physiology with a 55 year old trust me you can do this
prissybell16 you can do it!!!
I wish my mom would’ve listened to me when I told her that I wanted to take time off to really figure out which career I wanted to pursue.
Me too😢
no matter what happens on the nclex, just know Success does not come without failure. You're only a failure when you QUIT
Hannah Rose girl I’m doing the same exact thing too! 19yr old as well 🥳🥳
@@Indalesia Good for you! Just take it as a learning experience either way, doing things that makes you uncomfortable helps you find your strengths 💪🏾
Jasmine Holder I needed this comment 🖤🖤
Congratulations on your accomplishment.
Hello.... shatereya
I’m in the same boat @getting my degree for everyone else.
What you do before nursing?
This video just made me realize that nursing isn’t for me 😭Thank you I’ve been asking for help and this video really helped me!
Anyone who hates a video like this definitely have issues.
I’m definitely scared but the more you go through the stronger you are the outcome will make you proud of yourself and mentally empowered I’m ready !
Mercy Gono BSN, RN 😘
Nursing school reminds me of the Naruto Chunin Exams lol.
ABC DEF lmfao this comment is gold
ABC DEF I’ll agree
Literally watching naruto now 😭😭
😩😂😂
Hahahahahahha hahahah
Currently in my second semester of nursing school. I’ve been so overwhelmed and depressed lately, really questioning if this is for me! Watched your video hoping to find a little bit of motivation to keep pushing! It was reassuring at the end! Thank you!
hey it’s been 2 years, how is everything?
Everything Mercy says here is TRUE!!!! Omg I wish I saw this video before I did nursing school it would've put things in so much perspective because I didn't get the raw detailed truth from people I asked. Thank you!!
I'm officially scared.
Danae Cruz me tooooo
dead asss omgg
Danae Cruz lmao me too
Lmaooo me too smh. I start in 13 days.
I failed Nursing school
Again thank you
I've always felt that way too and I'm 32 years old about to be 33 next month Lord say the same and I'm thinking about going back to school next year...to me it's either now or never. Good luck with everything
@@melaninqueen4140 Melanin just know we can do ALL THINGS THROUGH CHRIST.. 32 33 35 or 60 live your best life and follow your call. We got this. I sending blessings your way.
I am 39 and will be graduating ASN in May. So you're not too old.
AGAIN MERCY, THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!! These tips ACTUALLY will help! Thank you
I am 5 going on 6 months out of undergrad (received my B.S. in Health Sciences), and I am in process of applying to an ADN (RN) program to start January 2021.
You can do it. Put all your intention into studying for the entrance exam and you will pass.❤
Wow, this is me too! I took the HESI twice. The first time I missed by one point, the second time I missed by four points. Sometimes I wonder if I supposed to be an nurse or go into HR
Don’t give up ! Study your stronger subjects first and then spend more time on your weaker subjects. You will level up !
You can do it! Don't give up! It'll all be worth it in the end!
You will make it God always got you boo with the faith of a mustard seed
I’m 31 and I’m thinking of a career change and becoming a nurse. I really appreciate this video!!!
I'll take the challenge. Unlike being a classroom teacher dealing with disruptive students everyday throughout the year. Thanks
This was very helpful, I am very serious about becoming a nurse. I greatly appreciate you being open about nursing. i planning on starting Nursing School in Spring 2020 to obtain my BSN. Thank You Thank you!!
You are so real. This is what I need to hear. I love how genuine you are. I know you do this so that people are actually prepared! I thank you!
Continue to your nurse practitioner, it saved my life! Working in the field is hard work now days. It's so physical, you feel like your at the gym 12 hours! Wow
You are an inspiration to so many people especially the African communities. You are prime example of what people should be doing with their lives.
OMG!! Thank you for sharing some insight about preparing for nursing! I'm currently in school now!!🙏
Hey Doll, loved this video, thanks so much for your honesty. I will be attending nursing school in 2020 and I am preparing for it now.
Me too
RN, BSN here. Everything you said is spot on. It takes much commitment and nursing school is your life until you graduate.
I remember beginning medical classes when I first began college & had no social life & my friends & family like oh I never hear from & like I’m busy with school
I just finished my second month of my accelerated BSN program. This is great advice.
Girl! As a BSN, RN in Nigeria we are the least respected in the health care system but yeah USA does a good job respecting their nurses.
picture?, you are talking about me in my journey to get my RN license.
I love how to implemented the story in the beginning ☺️ this video makes me nervous 😭 but I think I can handle it.
Thank you so much!! I'm going to begin the program this August and right now I'm trying to enjoy my summer as stress-free as possible, though I am excited for what comes :)
I'm new to this channel. I'm starting Nursing school this coming 1/20 so excited💕
Memory Adams omg me too!! I got my acceptance letter YESTERDAY. Telling from what video I’m watching, I’m so so nervous.
@@MaddieRecords4U congratulation👌 Don't be nervous be happy and proud of yourself at this moment🌻
I'm so glad to find your channel. Have you ever thought about teaching? You are very good at this👍💜 (Starting LPN this December).
I am in my Junior year of nursing school and I can tell you she is telling the TRUTH! Please listen and take her advice. Good luck with your new journey.
Everything you said in this video is ABSOLUTELY correct from beginning to end. The end result is sooo rewarding.
You're very beautiful, inside and out! That last part brought me to tears, wow thank you!
Im 18 and just started my second semester of nursing school. I kinda feel out of place being so young. Thanks for the helpful tips.
I am in the same position, alot of pressure ngl
Congrats !❤️
Don't be. You would be surprise to find out the amount of people routing for you. Since this generation seem not to be sure of where they are going or want in this world. We are routing for you.
Godchosen Hopeful thanks for the encouragement! I have now successfully completed my first year in nursing!
I am currently a senior in high school and planning on pursuing a career in nursing. Is nursing school difficult? What do you have to do in the first semester along with the second. Also congrats!
Thank you so much! Please don't stop making videos! I need it! I'm 15 and my future is to be like you
Im 14 years old in highschool.
Great video! Thank you for your honesty and openness. You gave me many things to think over.
You really helped me out by preparing myself to what’s gonna come in life thank you
WOWWWWW! this video covered almost everything that need to know before starting nursing school. I completely relate my life to this. Thanks million my Mercy!
Well if this ain't the gospel truth! The competitiveness begins from the prerequisites!😩 I love how transparent you are about this career!
(You have to have a set goal in mind and strive everyday towards that goal)
PS. Everything she says is 100% trueee!!!! Listen to her!
And don't take things personally with certain teachers ...they just want U to pass!
You’re indeed a sister I really need at this time. I am about starting nursing school. Thank you so so much
I like hearing your true story about your nursing experienced then any of the others nurses that described their experiences in the TH-cam.
Same, I’m considering changing my major now because I need to want to do this 😭
You are so spot on, especially the competitive bit, boy I learn the hard way.
I love my job with everything within me
Thank you so much mercy I will be taking my ADN prerequisites next semester in August/31/2020 at my community college and this video is really helpful
Shes the Goat for the first story. I was confused at first. haha 😁
ABC DEF nah fr! she tied it in so nicely.
such an informative and realistic video. it scares me so much. definitely needed this harsh truth
I love your channel. When you said you are Liberian, I immediately thought of this song:
"Liberian girl
You came and you changed my world
A love so brand new
Liberian girl
You came and you changed my world
A feeling so true" - Michael Jackson
My program starts in one week! I know it’s gonna be challenging but I’m ready. Thank you so much for this video and your tips. ☺️
Mercy Gono BSN, RN thank you!
