- With the final episode of Adventure Time being aired, we at Channel Frederator are sad to see the end to one of our favorite cartoons series but, even in the final episodes, the show leaves us with many questions. One of which is Beth and Shermy the reincarnations of Finn and Jake? So join us as we see if we will have the continued adventures in the land of ooo in this weeks cartoon conspiracy.

I think it's safe to say that Adventure Time not only changed the western animation landscape, but that it affected just about all of us as we grew alongside Finn and Jake. So what do you think? For Shermy I'm 100% sure since Finn is always destined to reincarnate, but for Beth I'm not sure. Jake reincarnates but not as much as Finn but Beth being his 38 thousandth descendant is also cool.
Marcy probably got bored of that house inside the cave and moved, Gunter probably lived a content life with TP for a long time before she passed (she's a turtle so she probably lived for at least 100 years after the Finale)

I am a little confused as to how BMO, a computer, is incapable of remembering something stored in its hard drive. The only possibility is if somehow BMO's information was corrupted.
Did anyone realise that Finns past life as a butterfly strongly relates to his spirit animal such as in one episode when Finn and Jake were paralysed by the ice king and when he summoned his spirit animals a bunch of butterflies appeared and when flashbacking to his past lives he appears to be a buttery. Not sure if they’re related but it’s strange to me.

I also think that he was the butterfly that met Princess Bubblegum when she first separated from the mother gum in Bonnie & Neddy, which would make sense that as a catalyst of positive change he helped inform how PB first saw the world and would continue to view it.

The most heartbreaking part of the Adventure Time finale was when Fern was like "Mr. Mertens, I don't feel so good..." and he faded into literal leaves.

@@Space0fox It's the most heartbreaking to see that even after Betty's sacrifice, their story hasn't ended. It's only flipped now with Simon trying in vain to save his loved one. Hopefully he was able to find peace

You can't deny that is the most touching and beautiful scene I've seen in the entire show.
Isn't the Finn Sword also literally alternate time Finn turned into a sword?
I wonder how an episode would play out if he turned back into Finn and was in the future world.
I doubt that the magic sword spell can be reversed but it would be nice seeing an episode about finn(sword) talking to finn(shermy)

In my opinion, it was rude of Shermy to just take that sword from that tree. It was there for 1000+ years for a reason!
I've been told the story is being continued in the comics, so there's that, but I'm talking in hypotheticals here.
I think Fern could be inside the sword, the sword grew from Fern's tree, so in this case, the little Finn inside the sword could be Fern
when you realise that there must have been a long gap in Shoko's reincarnation to Finn (enough time for the candy kingdom to develop and the tree to grow) it really helps support the idea of long waits for reincarnation.

Since their presence indicates change, it's quite possible that they only are ever reincarnated when they're needed - kind of like with Link from the Legend of Zelda. That would explain why it's been essentially a thousand years since their last incarnations walked the earth. This begs to question, though, what will the change be this time?
Also, rainicorns and dogs lived side by side for ages, based on what we saw in the series. It's quite possible that Jake and Lady Rainicorn served as an example to have more inter-species relationships, which eventually led to the pup kingdom that we see in the future Oo. It's also possible that some shapeshifters or other magical creatures got involved, resulting in Beth's powers without her necessarily being directly related to Jake.

Seeing Adventure Time go is like the final confirmation that I am now an adult, which sucks. Adventure Time started airing when I was 12, same age as Finn at that time in the show. I grew up with him for a while until I inevitably passed him. I think my favorite episodes are, back when they were airing, The first episodes with Flame Princess, BMO and the bubble, and when Jake's finger or some extremity took on a persona and went to a circus or something.

Now the 1000 year cycle is a very common theme in Adventure Time, so it took 1000 years because that is the cycle.
The creators of the show actually confirmed that Beth is a descendant of Jake and Lady Rainicorn. Her full name is Betony Burrito Jakson IV with 'Jakson' being derived from 'son of jake' and she is a princess of the pup kingdom. The pups being 1/2 rainicorn, 1/4 dog, and 1/4 changeling.
That being said, even though she is a descendant of Jake, that doesn't mean she can't also be his reincarnation.
The only reason I know this is because Adventure time ended and I didn't want it to... so I started browsing the wiki and their sources lol...
Also it sorta narrows down which kid they are descended from.

It was actually the other way around. Jake died first, then finn died. Finn decides to reincarnate, and jake runs in to reincarnate with him. So this idea in the video is more than likely correct.

Well, Finn is the reincarnation of Shoko and the creators of Adventure Time confirmed that Jake is the reincarnation of Shoko's tiger, so it's entirely possible that Shermy and Beth are then next incarnations of Finn and Jake (and yes, Beth is the 38,000th descendant of Jake and Lady, but could also be his reincarnation)

Looking back at what you said about Shoko dying where the tree house would sprout to where Finn and Jake would live. This connection is rooted even deeper because Fern is the actual Finn we started off with before he turned into the Finn Sword and then into Fern. So having Fern die where the new tree to sprout could be another indicator of Shermy being Finn’s reincarnation.

The only issue I have with the last episode, is that BMO was the one to tell it. He couldn't remember Finns name, yet we are suppose to believe his story happened...
The ending of Adventure Time can be taken as fact or fiction.
It could have happened, or maybe it didn't.
We got a story from BMO with Marceline, and if his story is anything like that one, then the last episode can be filled with stuff BMO placed in it.
Stompology it is very possible that BMO filled in a lot of gaps with imagination, or simply warped memories. However, the events of that episode would have been highly traumatic for everyone involved, and it’s possible that Finn or Jake could have confided in BMO or used him to record their stories. BMO’s imagination can explain some things, like the song defeating GOLB. But I ask you this: why would they build up to the events of the finale, only to have them be false? Hmm?
@@fennpineda4747 I don't know. Just seems like its leading up to that. I doubt Finn and Jake had Bmo record their story. Because he couldn't remember Finns name at all, you'd think that name would be recorded in more then one story for Bmo to watch.
Another thing, Bmo wasn't even at the battle to begin with....So, can you not see my point here? If he did record it in a log that Finn or Jake did, it was corrupted after 1000years, along with Finns name, which would be in the recordings.

I mean, it was an important event, probably there are other people(like PB or Marceline) that remembered him something. Also, it's pretty different remembering a full event that involved lots of things that just remembering a name of a friend of yours(that was probably your friend like 11 years) after 1000+ years. I mean, he still tried to remember and got something similae.

We probably don't listen to BMO's verison of the story. The one we see is the real one because how would BMO know the inside of goln and alot of other things.
I believe that Shermy is Finn's reincarnation, but not that Beth is Jake's reincarnation. In the finale's intro you can see crumbling statues of Finn and Jermaine and a tiny doorhole in one of the statues. I believe that Jake is immortal and probably is still alive 1000 years in the future and made a havel there for himself to stay in. I also believe that Beth is just one of the distance descendants of the new dog/rainicorn hybrid species.
Also with PB and Marceline, in the finale intro you can also see pink hands in the ice kingdom's prison and a person riding through the ice kingdom with a monocular with the initials "MA" on it. Marceline Abadeer. Ice Thing kidnapped PB and Marcy is searching for her.

I really want to know more about the future of Ooo. Maybe not a spinoff but just some mini episodes or some more drawings and sketches from Steve Wolfhard. At least we have Season 11 comics.
I honestly think that Shermy and Beth are Finn and Jake's reincarnations, the show always off a feeling of neverending adventure, so I see Shermy and Beth as simply the next chapter in Finn and Jake's story, just as Finn and Jake were the next chapter for Shoko and her tiger
bacon froyo why not have Jake reincarnate again? They are probably connected now. There are stories with people’s souls being connected and meeting again in the next life. That is literally what happened with Finn and Jake.

My theory on the intro
First off the beginning person on the duck thing at the start, that's marceline, she's actually traveling looking for bubblegum who was captured by ice thing, who had gone crazy after looking his wife, and got so mad he started an ice storm, she also has simons bag, who gave it to her, the pup kingdom is actually jake, who lives longer cause of the monster powers, and the power of the pups witch he takes away, u can see his eye at the entrance, he made himself a tower to protect his family from the ice storm, and sends some to space while a clean up happens, also the white dog stole ice things jewel to help jake, but it made him crazy kinda, and ice thing messes with him, also jake made towers, to remember Finn and his brother, right next to his kingdom, to worship them, Finn probably is a reincarnation of shermy, and the pup girl is a run away, she ran away to be with shermy and see what's outside the walls, or she fell out on accident, she might even be a test to see if it's safe to live outside the walls idk, my theory, also the elementals died off but came back, they gotta make kingdoms again, except bublgum, she survived cause she left, but still got captured, so marci is going to her home place witch is ruined af

the theory seems a lot more likely once you watch Together Again on HBO Max and see that Finn and Jake are reincarnations of Shoko and her tiger and when you literally see them go through the reincarnation process
Do you remember when adventure time was just about a dude with his dog
It does seem to be implied that they are reincarnations due to the history of reincarnations throughout the series, but even if they aren't in the same way that Finn was a reincarnation of Shoko, the comet, etc, they are 100% spiritual successors carrying on the same will as Finn and Jake.
I'm going to miss adventure time, and I don't know if they made these two new characters to possibly create a sequel series in the future, but I'd like to think they were made to show that even without Finn and Jake, the spirit of adventure carries on and new heroes will arise. Even though statues were made to remember them, Finn and Jake have effectively been forgotten even by BMO, but Finn and Jake's past was STILL able to affect a new generation. They're are lost to time but were still able to inspire Beth and Shermy to begin their own life of adventuring.

I think that Gunther (The Dinosaur Gunther) and Nina were also past incarnations of Finn and Jake. Think about it, In the Title card art of "Evergreen" We see Gunther and Nina in the same similar pose that Finn and Jake take in the intro and also the same pose Shermy and Beth take in the finale. And not only that, by image, Gunther and Nina even look very similar to Finn and Jake by eyes and even size. So it seems to me very likely that Gunther and Nina were past lives of Finn and Jake. What does everyone else think? Does anyone think differently?

In my opinion I would really like to see a spinoff on these 2. That way we can see what ooo looks like now. We have seen the past(before the mushroom war and the litch) we have seen the present through the eyes of Finn and Jake, and we can now see the future with these characters
Geez, I lost touch with AT around I don't even know what time. The last episodes I can remember clearly watching when they first aired are the ones were Flame Princess was introduced and the Fiona and Cake episode where Marceline was telling the story. I could have seen more, but my memories stop there.

Marceline is not dead,she is in the intro of Beth and Shermy,the person in the ice kingdom that is staing in that duck ftom season 1,and I think she is trying to save PB from the ice cage,there are some pink arms
Well this seems even more likely given the recent Distant Lands special.
Here is a theory unseen, I believe that Beth is related to jake, still being jakes soul, and it is very possible since jake had children with a rainicorn, lady, and rainicorns have horns, as we see on Beth. Also, Beth has powers, which would make sense due to jake having powers. We also know that powers pass on through generations because of jakes children and grandchildren. I grew up watching Adventure Time. The finale was so heartbreaking, I literally cried the whole day.
My Gunther also went through a change...
The opening credits scene from the final episode definitely gives us a brief glimpse of some kind of spaceship/Space elevator being launched from what's left of the candy kingdom and we know that PB and tree trunks were helping to seed other planets with candy life so I think 1000 years in the future Marceline has left earth with princess bubblegum to help guide PB's other creations.

Thank You is my favorite episode of Adventure Time. Anyone in any language can enjoy it as it doesn’t feature many dialogue sequences. It has an amazing message: Even opposites sometimes can put aside their differences and work in harmony with each other and that gives me hope for the future.
With the latest episode of distant lands this theory that shermy and beth are reincarnations can be true.
"Summer Showers" was my favourite because Viola is just adorable.

Adventure Time was a Great show and I loved the Finale but it left out so many unanswered questions and unknown details, Which means there's plenty of leftover material and room for specials and Spinoffs! I'm Excited. Adventure Time RULEZ!!!!!

(Edit) After a year, ive changed my mind. THEY ARE THE REINCARNATION OF FIN AND JAKE, just like how gunther and neena, shoko and her tiger, and penelope and betty were the reincarnation of them. BUT they are still completely different people, like how fin and shoko were. It would be really nice to see shermy realize that his past life was fin like how fin found out abt shoko. This could also be the driving narrative on beth and shermy's story, them trying to find out this mysterious person(fin) and his history, and them try to revive finn's actual story bcs it seems that he was forgotten by ooo.

More evidence of Finn and Jake meeting in every life is in farmworld, where Finn still lives with his parents. This means he was never found by Joshua and Margaret, and was never meant to meet Jake. But, as we know, Jake is still with Finn in that universe.

Idk about Shermy but Beth is a descendant of jake who was cast out or banished from the “pup kingdom” a kingdom ruled by dog/rainicorn hybrids hence why she’s called “Beth the pup princess” in the opening plus she has the the eyes and jowls of jake and the powers of horn of a rainincorn

Hi there! So I just wanted to put my two cents in on this. You completely forgot one of the most supporting facts in my opinion. The song used to defeat Glorb at the end. "Will happen, happening, happened, you and I will always be back then" the song supports the fact that nobody ends, everything will restart again, and for it to be the final thing that happens in the LAST episode, heavily insinuates that reincarnation is in fact a reality in Ooo. And seeing as how shermy and Beth heard this whole story from BMO (the person who sang the song) it seems about as close to cannon as you can get.

When there is no chaos, there is no adventure. The opposite is Chaos is order. When there was order there was no adventure because there wasn't much happening (before mushroom war). Mushroom war was a big event that started the Adventure or chaos or an Apocalyptic era ( the show also show what happens when the bomb didn't went off and the world was pretty boring). This era of Chaos ended in the final episode with another war when the chaos himself showed up and brought back simon bringing a new era of order. This is shown by everyone having a very good life ahead and also shown by mighty statues of Fin and Jake. But its shown is ruin. But maybe adventuring never stopped but in distant lands Fin is showed pretty chill which means he doesn't adventure as much as he did. Shermy and Beth are in the new era of chaos where the era of the big order is in the ruins. Which brings the new era of adventure.
