How about showing the fight to get the second end of that final spring on?

Ok so it's unclear here but for anyone wondering, the driver's side adjustment cog/gear is down to expand it and the passenger side is the opposite, so up to expand it. To loosen vise versa with respect to whichever side. When hammering the top spring back into the notch on reassembly, pushing it with needle nose pliers also works so it doesn't pop back out again. Also two people and a notched flathead make this job a whole lot less stupid than it already is. It goes without saying you're going to need a mallet. Helpful video however, thanks 👍

Great video, looks like I’ve assembled mine correctly. I’ve screwed with mine a few times now, bought new shoes and hardware, made sure it was adjusted to where it was just barely dragging, etc… And at best, it only kind of works when moving in reverse. Doesn’t hold the vehicle at all going forward. Any pointers on what I’m doing wrong?

Awesome video presentation. I used it on a modified 8.8 Ford explorer rear rear end. I’m converting it to a 1966 Mustang rear end. Thank you so much for your detailed explanation.

Anyone else cringe at the thought the springs are most likely as old as the shoes he just replaced.. I get it if it still works reuse.. But bruh.. Those got to much rust... Rust is rust bruh replace springs and pins... Like that 1 pin was bent up.. Just replace all you wont have to worry about a spring breaking
