I am so excited to learn about this and see this. Katie and I are doing more overlanding, camping and hiking and have been shifting to more travel, packable games. Dan, thank you again brother!!!
The biggest issue I have with the standard Azul is the storage of the discarded tiles: you're supposed to put them in the empty box, then when the bag is empty, you're supposed to transfer the tiles from the empty box (now full of discarded tiles) to the bag. This "transfer" process has always been very clunky to say the least (tiles frequently fall out of the box during the transfer), and I was wondering if this is improved in the travel version... It seems like an important detail because you can't risk losing tiles during the transfer (imagine if a tile drop if you're playing on a plane and you have to search under the seats to find it!). Looking forward to hear your thoughts on this, thanks!
Yeah they definitely improved on that in all future versions of Azul with the tile holders. That would be the one reason for people to Key the box for the travel version and you can use that for the discarded tiles. Since the bag is big enough to fit the boards it’s easy to pour them in from that. But I decided to toss the box and Just kel ask the times in a snack sized zip lock to ensure they don’t fall out of the bag even with the snap to close it. And i just use that small ziplock as the discard holder. But I’m your case I’d recommend using the box for the discard holder
Great game to size down. I have and love Azul Summer Pavilion, but if I am ever going to get the original, I will get it in this minimized version. Thanks for the review!
ok but how big is the BOX. I don't want a bag. Thats literally the one question I have. Why can't people show the dimensions of the thing most people will be transporting. The box size is LITERALLY the ONLY reason to buy a travel size version of any game.
I think most will throw the box out that’s why they made a snapping bag straps to hold the bag. The box wasn’t much bigger than the boards in x, y dimensions. And it was only about 2” deep
if every game had a mini version, we could quadruple our collection! 😂
If they did this good a job, yup!

That's great Jarrad! This one sounds like a good fit for you!
This will be perfect to bring camping! Thanks for the review. I wouldn’t have known about this game without it.
Great Jenny!
dude thank you! such a thorough video. Love how enthusiastic you are!
Thanks Daniel!
I hope you like the review!

Cool James!
I'm absolutely not carrying around all those tiny pieces on a tote bag
Great review, man, thanks! :-)
I just put them in a snack size ziplock in the tote. No problems yet C:)
@@TheGameBoyGeeks oh, that's a really good idea
Thx 4 review! Does the bag seal closed? I saw the snap, but would the contents fall out if upside down?
You should put the tiles in a snack size ziplock then nothing will fall out
I’m also looking for mini/travel games to our camper 🙃
Well there you go! Also Mr Jack Pocket!
Cool.
