Sir! This video was extremely helpful! I’m a 52 year old man very new to Jiu-Jitsu. I live in North Atlanta, Georgia. I’ve only had three classes. During my last class, I was rolling with the coach and trying to pass his guard. I’m a big guy so, I was trying to muscle my way out of his guard. Needless to say, no matter how much energy or muscle I used I couldn’t pass his guard. Then after the round he turned to me and said, “you don’t have to work so hard.” I’m thinking I don’t know what you’re talking about? Remember, this is only my third class. I don’t know what else to do. But, sir, after watching your video I understand what my coach meant and now I know what to do! I literally had an aha moment as now I can see the flow within the art! Absolutely beautiful! Thank you for sharing.

Great simple application! Taking a few key concepts I can apply broadly instead of a bunch of details that work in a vacuum. Oss!

just resist a little bit first if possible, so they can commit more. then full blast in the direction u r being pulled into. they usually can't handle the unexcpected shift of force right away, which gives you the advantage of doing things they can't react to immediately.
