    #1 for realistic expectations? Both people (or all involved) need to actually want to rebuild trust with themself and others... My experience with people who chronically have toxic behavior are not interested in self responsibility or self accountability -actually changing behavior?! Starts with taking responsibility for were trust has been breached, not doubling down on blame shifting, avoidance tactics = toxic (stagnant) behavior and beliefs.
