I quit because of the levelling issue: I want to play a game which is fair, previously I had a level 14 deck (maxed) and this allowed me to be on an even playing level, however with level 15, and with how hard it’s to get wild cards for free to play players I’m facing unfair matchups every game, the worst part is when I loose all because of my underleveled cards, now essentially I can’t be asked to play because it’s hard to level my cards up without spending money.
I'm hitting 9k and then no longer grinding. I've had max accounts at level 13 and 14. It's so frustrating they keep changing the goal posts and dramatically hurt progression with COMPLETELY UNBALANCED P2W evos.

As a free to play who isn't too high in trophies I was one game away from electro valley and went on a 7 game losing streak to people with evolved recruits and level 12 cards. I'm honestly fed up with the game
i was 1 win away from arena 17 but after that i went from 6475 to 6000 trophies, and all my opponents where p2w where they had level 14 card with evolutions and all that and all my cards are only level 11
got angry at the pay to win shenanigans, like evolution troops that take months to get, and are too broken to be a fair fight with someone that has none of that, and also the card level sistem, that puts you in a significant disadvantage if you are the one with lower levels.
Started playing in June and I gotta say the game is really good. It's very demanding but it's really good. Playing as FTP, I got to clan wars as soon as I could and played the events daily copying decks from royale API, changing them depending on what I saw other people using against me and I'm currently sitting at 5k trophies with an alright hog 2.8 with evolved Barbs averaging cards around lvl11 letting me play it in ranked until lvl 12 gets to be the cap. But that's fine by me. I think the main issue is that people play trophy road as if it's something competitive when that game mode is really just "who spent more money or time grinding". The real fun of this game is the challenges and ranked where you can play on an equal playing field and have an enjoyable time. Trophy road is all about over leveling my 1 evo (God thoose wildshards didn't come season token cheap) my hog and my goblin barrel and then counting elixir and winning through sheer brute force and stat diffs
I used to be a long time player starting during 2017 and I played for a few years and stopped playing due to college reasons I came back because it seemed the game was in a good spot right after champions came out and I saw the disaster that was clan wars 2 then shortly after I got my main deck to 14, card level 15 was announced and I just quit right there including the nerfs to pass royale was the the nail in the coffin for me.
Should've kept clan chest. Getting 1500 trophies for a week was fun. Was great for a clan/f2p players to be active. Left the game and never came back when it was removed. Sad they removed weekly clan chest 😢

Once had 50 hours in one week. 18 wins in GT, won classic challenge. I tryhard so much, only because I wanted to beat my classmates and they encouraged me to play the game. I should move on
I think the issue is the big channels are all you see when looking I just started and I don't like seeing them over and over being mary sues it's boring I want to also see normal players the big channels are the problem they control the views somehow
My take on cr is that variety and progression are long gone and cr devs are just trying to capitalise on passes selling broken “new” cards. However that’s not the main issue. I don’t know if it happened to you guys too, but when I do start a match and I see that my opponent has my counter deck, I lose any interest into keep playing and every single time I do start a new match my desire of keep pushing and keep playing slowly fades off. The biggest issue with the game is the leveling up system. For a strategy game, if you face against a player who has been spending pounds on this game, then it's instantly over. This pretty much defeats the purpose since they can just brute force their way with no consequences. Not to mention that certain cards are too good it's horribly designed, like Elite Barbarians intended use is for defense as they are tank killers from their damage and they can be destroyed by swarms and costs 1 more elixir compared to the original barbarians, but thanks to their spongy hp and speed and the leveling system, they become a bigger problem to deal with than it should've been. Balancing has become a hellfest when cards that are good become useless in a single patch or the rework mostly sucks or when cards get buffed but it's the wrong stat, not to mention that evolution shouldn't be a thing considering the current state of the game's balance. It's not a bad idea, but it's not a very good time to bring this up to the light. In conclusion this game is amazing, its concept and execution is amazing. But the reward system, and the card design? Absolutely sh#t. I hope that SC or at least the CR team finally know what's going on, but honestly we might as well find more ways for them to pull their heads out of their a$$e$ than just emails and video essays.
A better question is "why PAY to stay." cause if you're not paying, you're not "evolving" cards and not winning. You cannot obtain the shards (other than the extremely slowly way in the token shop) I agree with you, fundamental it was the best mobile strategy game. I played for 6 years (seems wasted now but I had some fun.) However, since they have gone hyper-pay-to-win, I've had to boycott. I cannot stand companies who disrespect their player base, especially my case, 6 years olf loyalty, i bought every league pass when they started offering them. Then came the EVOs followed by the 12.00 per season/month season pass. with 7.99 to get the new card upgraded. Supercell seems to be purposely purging its game because apparently it is anticipating a die off. I don't understand this.. if they would just listen to the fans, they'd continue to make money indefinitely essentially. tl;dr CR is dying because consumers run away from the greedy (Supercell) and the inception of pay big to win Evolutions.
Too many geeks in the game man. I’ve been playing the game since I was in high school (on and off, would take random breaks and make new accounts and stuff). I’m 23 now. I know how things work but it seems like people just spend too much time on this game and have nothing better to do than absolutely destroy inferior players. It’s not even a matter of “get good kid” or anything like that. I’ve gotten to arena 15 on every account I’ve ever had, minimum, but it’s like nowadays I can’t even get a banner from a tournament without having to pay extra gems, which I’m not willing to do because of the nerds who are ruining the game for me. Obviously I don’t want to just face bots and youre not gonna win every game, but like even the goblin queen game mode, the first day I was able to blow through the lobbies, and then the literal second day it’s out, I’m facing what seems to be the best players in the entire world who have figured out every counter to my cards, every attack card that I won’t be able to defend against, etc. I don’t know if rigged is the right word but this game is set up in a way that favors players who spend any amount on the game. If you spend even .99 cents, they are going to make you feel good and guarantee you a few more wins in a row than you would have got if you didn’t spend money. That’s why you see the people who waste their time the most on the game, never complaining about it feeling rigged, because those are the same people spending the money on the game. Even if you buy a single battle pass, you’re contributing to the problem. I sound like a crazy man but I promise if someone were to do some sort of study or whatever, what I’m typing would prove to be true. It’s just so discouraging man. Let me be clear about the Bufarete topic, He actually deleted his Clash Royale account and started doing other games which was really bad to watch as i started using mortar 2.9 cycle cause of his videos back in 2016-17. Not only that after a few months he did a livestream on his channel with the title " CLASH ROYALE " and he literally gemmed his way to the max which was just dirty and the reason for his return was simple, His content wasn't the same without Clash royale as his loyal fanbase kept on bugging him including me. There was a point: Adding a new exciting feature to expand the core gameplay. Just got terribly executed. Evos being limited and overpowered made this game stale as ever.

@mohamdlftat5207 with the addition of every Town Hall, it made me quit more and more, meaning I would probably not return if the progression isn't fixed. This means my efforts to max out are futile, as they keep adding more and more Town Halls. I used to play Boom Beach instead, since it has barely any updates, but the resources are the problem, not the upgrades themselves. In Clash Royale, you don't need to wait for a card to be upgraded once you gained the resources. Plus, you can max out a deck to compete in Ranked mode in just 1 year if you're an active player, while in Clash of Clans, it takes too much time and money to max out to even have a chance to compete

A better question is "why PAY to stay." cause if you're not paying, you're not "evolving" cards and not winning. You cannot obtain the shards (other than the extremely slowly way in the token shop)
I agree with you, fundamental it was the best mobile strategy game. I played for 6 years (seems wasted now but I had some fun.) However, since they have gone hyper-pay-to-win, I've had to boycott. I cannot stand companies who disrespect their player base, especially my case, 6 years olf loyalty, i bought every league pass when they started offering them. Then came the EVOs followed by the 12.00 per season/month season pass. with 7.99 to get the new card upgraded. Supercell seems to be purposely purging its game because apparently it is anticipating a die off.
I don't understand this.. if they would just listen to the fans, they'd continue to make money indefinitely essentially.
tl;dr CR is dying because consumers run away from the greedy (Supercell) and the inception of pay big to win Evolutions.
Too many geeks in the game man. I’ve been playing the game since I was in high school (on and off, would take random breaks and make new accounts and stuff). I’m 23 now. I know how things work but it seems like people just spend too much time on this game and have nothing better to do than absolutely destroy inferior players. It’s not even a matter of “get good kid” or anything like that. I’ve gotten to arena 15 on every account I’ve ever had, minimum, but it’s like nowadays I can’t even get a banner from a tournament without having to pay extra gems, which I’m not willing to do because of the nerds who are ruining the game for me. Obviously I don’t want to just face bots and youre not gonna win every game, but like even the goblin queen game mode, the first day I was able to blow through the lobbies, and then the literal second day it’s out, I’m facing what seems to be the best players in the entire world who have figured out every counter to my cards, every attack card that I won’t be able to defend against, etc. I don’t know if rigged is the right word but this game is set up in a way that favors players who spend any amount on the game. If you spend even .99 cents, they are going to make you feel good and guarantee you a few more wins in a row than you would have got if you didn’t spend money. That’s why you see the people who waste their time the most on the game, never complaining about it feeling rigged, because those are the same people spending the money on the game. Even if you buy a single battle pass, you’re contributing to the problem. I sound like a crazy man but I promise if someone were to do some sort of study or whatever, what I’m typing would prove to be true. It’s just so discouraging man. Clash was a very fun game, and the only mobile game that I’ve ever came

Clash Royale is so pay to win it’s ridiculous.
And it’s got a serious problem at lower levels with people who refuse to move up in matchmaking.
I got people coming at me with cards they shouldn’t have yet cards I can’t friggin counter cause they are so strong.
The events aren’t fun to play at low level either cause you are forced to use tons of cards you don’t understand because you haven’t unlocked them.
You don’t know what they are good or weak against and barely have an understanding of what they do so playing them optimally is impossible.
The new player experience is awful.

Long Answer: Since they removed legendaries from lower arenas (You could get MINER in arena 3 in 2019 or earlier, i don't remember) i've been seeing a flurry of cards that i don't have (Princesses, logs, miners and wall breakers) in arena 9, whereas these same cards are unlocked in 2023 in arena 11 and 12. Sorry, supercell, but fix your god damn matchmaking once and for all, okay?

the problem with the game is NOT the monetization. Yes its shitty, but its not necessary. The problem is the meta.
Supercell havent got a fucking clue how to balance shit. These new evolutions are SO fucking stupid. Its just a way to force games to win quicker and stop going the full 6 minutes. Its a tacky attempt to patch over their problems.
Take the lumberjack for example. Did it need a buff? NO. Lumber-Loon decks were rampant BEFORE the buff. But NOOOOOO, heres a rage spell that kills cheap troops that counter the lumberjack. On top of that it moves really fast, has good health, and does loads of damage. For 4 elixir???? fuck off. Its so broken now. Every fucking game has a goblin barrel or a lumber-loon.
Even decks that arent even focused on lumber-loon will just have that combo shoved in because why not? 🤷♂️

Let me be clear about the Bufarete topic, He actually deleted his Clash Royale account and started doing other games which was really bad to watch as i started using mortar 2.9 cycle cause of his videos back in 2016-17. Not only that after a few months he did a livestream on his channel with the title " CLASH ROYALE " and he literally gemmed his way to the max which was just dirty and the reason for his return was simple, His content wasn't the same without Clash royale as his loyal fanbase kept on bugging him including me. What bugged me the most was he kept on flexing it like " this is my money and i'll do it " it felt annoying abit but i liked his content so i didn't bother to criticise.
I kinda find him hypocrite and a selfish guy who first criticised the game then came back to it for the sake of his channel and his interest, Sure he's not covering clash anymore but it just sucks to see such a good guy become a hypocrite selfish guy which was annoying to watch. Nonetheless i am happy to see him move on with his new content and i wish him all the best for his future.

There was a point: Adding a new exciting feature to expand the core gameplay. Just got terribly executed. Evos being limited and overpowered made this game stale as ever.

@mohamdlftat5207 with the addition of every Town Hall, it made me quit more and more, meaning I would probably not return if the progression isn't fixed. This means my efforts to max out are futile, as they keep adding more and more Town Halls. I used to play Boom Beach instead, since it has barely any updates, but the resources are the problem, not the upgrades themselves. In Clash Royale, you don't need to wait for a card to be upgraded once you gained the resources. Plus, you can max out a deck to compete in Ranked mode in just 1 year if you're an active player, while in Clash of Clans, it takes too much time and money to max out to even have a chance to compete
