Every time I get really nostalgic and redownload CR, I immediately get crushed and go, "Oh yeah, that's why I stopped playing this game". The last time I played my opponent had a level 15 megaknight and e-wizard all i had to defend was a level 11 inferno tower. CR slowly got more pay to win until it was unbearably toxic.
A solution i can think of is to matchmake players with similar king levels. And cap card levels depending on what level your king is. That will fix so many p2w aspects. But at the same time, they will probably have to compensate the players who already maxed their card, but arent maxed king level. Most likely with equivelent in gold or wild cards.
Why would anyone ever level up any card ever? Everyone can just be king level one. Not that removing levels is a bad thing. The game would be way better if the levels were removed all together.
They don't want skillmatching in this game. They want people to suffer and pay. When you constantly lose one game after winning one and always s end up winning only 50% of games you get frustrated and quit. The only skill matching in this game is the mirror mode. I win 90% of my games there. This game needs new management
CR has become very difficult the longer you play. The progress gets slower and slower over time, like you need to use money to see progress. Have been playing for years (on and off) and can't even move to the next arena because you get to be matched with higher level players 90% of the time. Upgrading cards is a very tedious work and requires a lot of waiting.
That’s true it took me about 3 hours to get to arena 17 and it was because my opponent was probably better than me but they also had higher level cards couldn’t do much and I got lucky and an opponent misplayed and that’s how that nightmare ended and yeah I’m stuck at certain amount of trophies right now I just been on 2v2 and those challenges they do every now and then
Yeah I played frequently from 2020 to the end of 2021. This were golden years imo. Easy progression, sometimes challenging. When lvl 14 came out with the champions the game died.
Yeah my theory is that supercell puts bots that are hard to beat when you are about to make it out of the arena and it feels like you aren't playing with real people anymore
me a coc player enjoying coc because the coc devs are really good at doing their job and releasing QOL changes that help the game long term and short term, while also making it more noob friendly without heavy p2w because you still need to actually learn how to play the game right and get down a decent strat instead of just upgrade your troops, its a perfect balance where p2w players aren't actually that op because you still need to actually learn how to use ur strat right!!

It is the developers of Clash Royale as for games like Brawl Stars they removed almost all P2W and rng aspects with the only pay to win things being the brawl pass that gives you extra tiers for $9.99, offers in the shop that are generally good deals but most of the time it’s a skin discount, and that’s about it, I can’t speak for Clash of Clans on this but I do know that whenever something is over or underpowered in a supercell game, all the teams usually take a while like Clash Royale and ones like Brawl Stars takes only a few minutes or hours
I used to spend money on this game before the level 14 update to make my cards reach 11 to 13 cause I was in clan late with friends that played the game 1 or 2 years being the first few years the game was around so getting into it late was bad due to them not really having balance changes in the game yet meaning you can actually win in top ladder with cards not maxed out and moving up trophys then they added the balance change still it wasn't bad I moved up fast cause the game wasn't fully play to win so you wouldn't run into maxed players on mid later let me remind you that clash mid ladder back then was 1500 to 2000 cause winning trophys was alot harder they gave you less when you win vs. when you lost they took more then when you won so that was a huge challenging point that made the game more fun due to you needing to win more then lose to really move up in the game then the beginning of poor and bad balance changes came they inflated the trophies now flipping it wining more and losing less when you get beat by someone so that kind of felt not so great cause back then getting to master 1 was pretty hard any of my clan members that were master 1 or 3 were really hard to face after that you change everyone bumped up fast also winning it was wasn't so bad to talk but the War 2 like he said the game got annoying when you need to have 4 decks to win when war 1 or orginal war was actually pretty fun and good did need to have some maxed cards but didn't need a full clan to win war around this time war 2 was soon coming I spend about 2 or 300 on the game about 1 and half or less time in at this moment I realized that I caught up to most the best player in my clan and had enough cards to have my 3 decks for ladder to push to play against 12 to 13 decks that's all you needed then so I stopped paying pass royal helped towards the end of that time then war2 fucked that all up now needed more maxed cards to win for you clan them to not get mad too for you losing then oh wait we need you to pay more level 14 us here I was so pissed about that not to lie I also fell for leveling up my cards that I had mostly 10,11, and 12 so I literally had 4mil in gold witch was harder to get gold back then I wasted all of it then 14 came and I honestly almost quit I stopped playing for a month or 2 still mad at the update I didn't spend much money after just got pass royale few times then getting a good amount of cards 14 now since gold is easier to win and my clan gets first alot I managed to level up alot of cards freely witch be hard for any lower level player and now 15 level cards like naww bro I been seen your guys game on greed and that is enough for me to not only give money to the game before this most literally spending maybe 20 to 30 on passes over the past year but level 15 you got to be joking right that did nothing for the game but piss me off and over players for me enough to finally quit I played a couple times since then and ther3 is already alot of matches in war and trophy road that are half or more decks level 15 and with that stupid new OP morter card like braahhhh im no dose with this watered down game of greed and poor attention grabbing tactics like it was so much more fun when they didn't do these stupid up dates every month then 3 month and mega updates to change the game it was so much more difficult back then to get far it was fun way more fun had to press push and grind to get up there so I'm good sucks I have a pretty good profile 4 years into the game so pretty big challenge wins but now it's just a waste of 4 years on my life that I wish I can get back in hours don't waste your time kidd or people you can't get that back the game or games in life can't always get you money for time spent on them if your not good fast then you never will be a top player use your time better even work out well im one of the players who left the game to happy for it honestly fuck super cell and anything that is a free platform that ends up changing for the way of more money at the top
Honestly quests are the one thing that I really like about the new clash of clans era I wish they kept it in clash Royale because it makes sense and would actually keep people coming back to the game I mean I understand they need to make money but there's ways they could have done that without you know sacrificing a really cool gameplay mechanic
I got back to clash royale a few weeks ago after 3 whole years of not playing. I think the current reward system let you level up way faster than 3 years ago with all the mastery and stuff. However, that the only good thing it had. Trophy road are filled with opponent whose cards are 2-3 level higher than mine and they BM like crazy when I lost to them. League mode is abit better since cards' level are restricted as well as towers'; but they have the evo cards and they all use the same top meta deck. Like 70% of matches I've gone through was all hog eq evo fire cracker. It was so repetitive and I almost couldn't win a game against them just because my deck is kinda off-meta ( I play hog exenado btw I switched to it cuz xbow 3.0 got boring). Clash royale has become such a toxic, P2W game and it's in a worse stage than ever before. I feel so sad for a game that was my whole childhood.
My clan has basically died since they added level 15. Supercell forgot that the majority of players spend their first year leveling up to 4000 on ladder. When they realize they will never be able max out they quit. I have played for more than 5 years and still have half my cards at lvl 12. It's just not possible to catch up without spending literally over 10 grand. It's not realistic. Lvl 14 is attainable for free players after 8 years I calculate (playing against 10 games a day). But lvl 15 hah. I'll be dead before I can reach that. Since the rollout I still am only halfway to one lvl 15 card. This was a monumental stupid mistake.
I had already quit by that point but it made me crack up to hear them put out “update for losers”. That’s exactly what supercell think people who play clash Royale are.
The cracks started showing a few years ago, and its only now that people are realising just how bad it is. Not to mention the game is now super difficult to get into as a new player.

I got 6 years to max a deck to LV 14! Just one card remains from LV14 and is at LV 13! My tower is also LV 14, i'd like to say: It's not only about how powerful your deck might be or eleveld. IT's also rigged for p2w players to counter your deck with ease, no matter what you try. Dor weeks, i've been trying to find a deck to BREAK this, only 2.6 hog sood a slight chance, but won't use it as it's beying spammed and in the long run it'd end up beying nerfed or predicted. Matchmaking is terrible... can't go above 7000 trophies, neither go up in ladder to master 3... I see on much of a point in playing, it was only fun when 7x Elixir was there for me, cuz i think the mode is very funny, lossing or winning. When it comes to 7x elixir challenge, in the other hand, i got eliminated quick, witha deck that u used to win LOT'S like a 60% to 85% winrate. But then, as challenge is not so casual and the ones that spend money also play it, then of course it'd be rigged as well. I wonder why? Don't thy see that if they do a good game, it'll actually be profitable? can't understand those people, because of their only objective is to get money, then they're going all the way down and burying the game, update by update. And you know the worse? a large of the community seems to be neutral, or just say "get good", the "hehehe ha"sírit, you got it? They need f2p players as they need pw2, there must be a balance and it's not going good for their own side right away...

I'm a relatively new player and i just made it to 5500 and Master 1 on PoL recently after playing for about 5 months. I've payed 20$ total for decent deals and 1 diamond pass to get Golden Knight early. I run into level 14 cards constantly and i don't see how anyone could unlock them unless they dump tons of money into the game. I REFUSE to put anymore money because it's clear to see the devs are purposely structuring the game to slow progress and incentivize paying. I'm not rewarding greed.
agreed. I've been playing for like 2 years plus, currently sitting at 6.4k trophy. I've only got like 4 card at level 14. For the other cards, I'm quite happy with how it progress, as they are all at level 11, 12, and some 13. BUT the problem I encounter is that whenever I play the trophy road, I'm against opponents with all level 14 cards. Every single time. I've tried reducing my trophy intentionally to like 5.9k before, and still, almost 70 or 80% of them got all cards level 14. It's just so unfair!! Plus, they made the 'evolved' deck official into the game now. It's practically impossible for one to win in path of legends or any challenges when your opponent has the evolved level 14 firecracker, barb, RG, and skeletons, and you don't. Same thing happens when I play clan war. I've got matched to people of waaaay higher trophy than mine (+400 to +1800, yes) and it's literally impossible to win nowadays unless you're up against a total dumb or spent like thousands of dollars to get your deck maxed out, along with the evolved ones. Not to mention, the level 15s, which even my great great grandchildren wouldn't be able to maxed out without spending any money. I love this game as it's very fun, less tilting, takes up lesser time than other games etc. But now it just pisses me off. Fk you CR devs.

Supercell Greed = fall of CR. Evolution (idea) and the $ they ask from players for each evo on top of Pass Royale.. the prices I was starting to pay on one game was absurd. And i'm a 6 year veteran that has quit, I will boycott supercell and the game until someone notifies me things change. If they don't I hope it dies out. For the record. Technically speaking, CR to me is the best Mobile multiplayer strategy war game ever made. I don't think the entirety of supercell are to blame. Only the clash royale devs are to blame for handling the game terribly, both COC and CR increased the price of the pass, but CR decided it would be a good idea to give players less while COC gave players more to compensate

I like how everyone has been complaining about how the megaknight needs a nerf, FOR 3+ YEARS, and the company didn't even try to make this better. IMO get some decent Nintendo ds games and an emulator and don't waste your time on this crap.

dude i dunno where you get your intel, but i'm an f2p player, never spent a cent on the game, and i got 97 cards on level 14 (well actually one of them is already level 15). How did i do it, you ask? well, farming efficiently. Just follow the game's economics, and improve on your margins for time spent. Also, play every single day. Since clan wars 1 started, i never missed a day of participating, including training days. That changed two weeks ago when i forgot to attack for the first time in my life. And i blame the new update for that. It wains the motivation to play. But i digress. So yeah, no problem here having 32 maxed out cards, without paying anything. Also, i play this game since its launch, so, yeah. every. single. day.

Honestly quests are the one thing that I really like about the new clash of clans era I wish they kept it in clash Royale because it makes sense and would actually keep people coming back to the game I mean I understand they need to make money but there's ways they could have done that without you know sacrificing a really cool gameplay mechanic

I got back to clash royale a few weeks ago after 3 whole years of not playing. I think the current reward system let you level up way faster than 3 years ago with all the mastery and stuff. However, that the only good thing it had. Trophy road are filled with opponent whose cards are 2-3 level higher than mine and they BM like crazy when I lost to them. League mode is abit better since cards' level are restricted as well as towers'; but they have the evo cards and they all use the same top meta deck. Like 70% of matches I've gone through was all hog eq evo fire cracker. It was so repetitive and I almost couldn't win a game against them just because my deck is kinda off-meta ( I play hog exenado btw I switched to it cuz xbow 3.0 got boring). Clash royale has become such a toxic, P2W game and it's in a worse stage than ever before. I feel so sad for a game that was my whole childhood.
My clan has basically died since they added level 15. Supercell forgot that the majority of players spend their first year leveling up to 4000 on ladder. When they realize they will never be able max out they quit. I have played for more than 5 years and still have half my cards at lvl 12. It's just not possible to catch up without spending literally over 10 grand. It's not realistic. Lvl 14 is attainable for free players after 8 years I calculate (playing against 10 games a day). But lvl 15 hah. I'll be dead before I can reach that. Since the rollout I still am only halfway to one lvl 15 card. This was a monumental stupid mistake.

What's funny is how cr is dying from the inside yet everyone is loving just about any other game (brawl stars is very f2p friendly, so it's pretty amazing, clash of clans benefits the community with its update with new, fun content and other things that can help you progress [the recent update added new magic items that you can usually earn from random challenges, so they were good], hay day is hay day, and boom beach is also boom Beach [it isn't that p2w it's like Clash of Clans but weird])

I got 6 years to max a deck to LV 14!
Just one card remains from LV14 and is at LV 13! My tower is also LV 14, i'd like to say: It's not only about how powerful your deck might be or eleveld. IT's also rigged for p2w players to counter your deck with ease, no matter what you try. Dor weeks, i've been trying to find a deck to BREAK this, only 2.6 hog sood a slight chance, but won't use it as it's beying spammed and in the long run it'd end up beying nerfed or predicted.
Matchmaking is terrible... can't go above 7000 trophies, neither go up in ladder to master 3... I see on much of a point in playing, it was only fun when 7x Elixir was there for me, cuz i think the mode is very funny, lossing or winning. When it comes to 7x elixir challenge, in the other hand, i got eliminated quick, witha deck that u used to win LOT'S like a 60% to 85% winrate. But then, as challenge is not so casual and the ones that spend money also play it, then of course it'd be rigged as well.
I wonder why? Don't thy see that if they do a good game, it'll actually be profitable? can't understand those people, because of their only objective is to get money, then they're going all the way down and burying the game, update by update. And you know the worse? a large of the community seems to be neutral, or just say "get good", the "hehehe ha"sírit, you got it? They need f2p players as they need pw2, there must be a balance and it's not going good for their own side right away...

From the past it's arld a unbalanced game when ur on rank n sees a higher tower lvl opponent you can just leave the game its a waste of time to try to win especially when they have maxed cards
I'm a relatively new player and i just made it to 5500 and Master 1 on PoL recently after playing for about 5 months. I've payed 20$ total for decent deals and 1 diamond pass to get Golden Knight early. I run into level 14 cards constantly and i don't see how anyone could unlock them unless they dump tons of money into the game.
I REFUSE to put anymore money because it's clear to see the devs are purposely structuring the game to slow progress and incentivize paying. I'm not rewarding greed.
agreed. I've been playing for like 2 years plus, currently sitting at 6.4k trophy. I've only got like 4 card at level 14. For the other cards, I'm quite happy with how it progress, as they are all at level 11, 12, and some 13. BUT the problem I encounter is that whenever I play the trophy road, I'm against opponents with all level 14 cards. Every single time. I've tried reducing my trophy intentionally to like 5.9k before, and still, almost 70 or 80% of them got all cards level 14. It's just so unfair!! Plus, they made the 'evolved' deck official into the game now. It's practically impossible for one to win in path of legends or any challenges when your opponent has the evolved level 14 firecracker, barb, RG, and skeletons, and you don't. Same thing happens when I play clan war. I've got matched to people of waaaay higher trophy than mine (+400 to +1800, yes) and it's literally impossible to win nowadays unless you're up against a total dumb or spent like thousands of dollars to get your deck maxed out, along with the evolved ones. Not to mention, the level 15s, which even my great great grandchildren wouldn't be able to maxed out without spending any money. I love this game as it's very fun, less tilting, takes up lesser time than other games etc. But now it just pisses me off. Fk you CR devs.

Supercell Greed = fall of CR. Evolution (idea) and the $ they ask from players for each evo on top of Pass Royale.. the prices I was starting to pay on one game was absurd. And i'm a 6 year veteran that has quit, I will boycott supercell and the game until someone notifies me things change. If they don't I hope it dies out.
For the record. Technically speaking, CR to me is the best Mobile multiplayer strategy war game ever made. Another thing I liked about CR is not being spammed by ads/popups essentially trying to bully me to pay or worse, force me to watch videos (you will find this on a lot of other game apps so you have to research what you DL from store)
CR is just not competitive anymore. The kids who get their mom's visa's will destroy everyone else because ... the more you pay the bigger your immediate advantage in the meta over people who arent willing to pay $30 a month on a mobile game. Thusly, even if you are a vet like me with 70% of your cards were maxed (at 14 lol) you are at an extreme disadvantage.
Supercell, if any of you ever read this comment, you spit on the veterans more than anyone who spent years grinding to the top. I've spent well over $200 on this game if you consider i bought every league pass since its inception since like one.
Supercell, besides spitting on your fans, but particularly veteran players, All of us were essentially placed back at 'Noob Status' unless we agreed to play roughly $30 a month to keep up competitively... You people must be out of your minds if you think the average person is going to spend that kind of $ on a damned mobile game.

I don't think the entirety of supercell are to blame. Only the clash royale devs are to blame for handling the game terribly, both COC and CR increased the price of the pass, but CR decided it would be a good idea to give players less while COC gave players more to compensate

Not a good video imo, the voice pitch sucks and it's just a simple list of all cr changes that look bad for f2p, but some updates were actually bad for another reason and not because it hampers in-game progression, mainly cw2, the reason why it sucks is not because you need maxed out cards, in fact it is a boost to progression in that regard, but because cw2's gameplay is worse than cw1's
dude i dunno where you get your intel, but i'm an f2p player, never spent a cent on the game, and i got 97 cards on level 14 (well actually one of them is already level 15).
How did i do it, you ask? well, farming efficiently. Just follow the game's economics, and improve on your margins for time spent.
Also, play every single day. Since clan wars 1 started, i never missed a day of participating, including training days. That changed two weeks ago when i forgot to attack for the first time in my life.
And i blame the new update for that. It wains the motivation to play.
But i digress.
So yeah, no problem here having 32 maxed out cards, without paying anything.
Also, i play this game since its launch, so, yeah. every. single. day.
that is kinda the problem. you shouldn't have to play the game every single day to max out your cards.

And look, two months have passed, and the "no gold" level can be accumulated by spending "not gold" in the form of gold in the shop on their offers, and the prices dropped from for example 40k to 15k on legendries. considering everything is already level 14, it somewhat helps.
