Every time I hear this song it brings a tear to my eye. My Great Great Uncle Alvin Enrique died on the titanic. He was a dish washer just trying to make a living for his family. After his passing my Great Great Grandmother Beatrice Moved to America with her 8 children 3 of which were blind. She opened a small in home bakery and did many hours of charity work. I am now 27 years old and run the same bakery she opened back then. And I'm so thankful for everything they did for me. Rest In Peace.

R.M.S actually no it didn’t. It played at the funeral of a gen who died on the ship. They played a Waltz, ragtime and 1 more. I gotta give it to Cameron, the man did his research. Closer walk to thee, is an urban legend that didn’t start until well after the sinking. The general worked for whoever was president at the time.
Agreed love the song but hate the movie (mostly bc I don't like Leonardo Dicaprio and the movie came out my senior year of high school and that was everything to everyone at the time)
This really makes me cry, not because of the love story between Jack and Rose, but because of the people that actually lost their lives in this unfortunate incident. May their souls find peace ✌

I have just found this duo. I lost my wife of 42 years two years ago to Motor Neurone Disease. This was one of her favourite songs. Listening to the passion in the playing by this duo brings back all the good memories, and makes the isolation of the Covid-19 lockdown that much more bearable.

I've always been interested in the Titanic, and every time I hear this music score, it gives me chills. Lets not forget all those who lost their life on such a majestic ocean liner.

My gramma was just a little girl when the accident happened. Her eyes filled with tears as she spoke of what a horrible tragedy it was. Seeing her reaction and hearing her voice as she spoke conveyed thè depth of saddness that no movie ever could. My "old family" had much to share as the history of this great nation took place in their lifetimes. This nation was only one generation old when my grandparents were children. The suburbs of Boston still had dirt streets.
Such events seem so far away, yet so close.

Sometimes I wonder if I had a past life involving the titanic. It’s the only thing in my entire life I’ve been obsessed with since I could remember. The movie the music all the knowledge what happened the live remake. And I cry my eyes out every single damn time.

I couldn't hold my tear after listening to this. I watched Titanic for the first time when I was 10 with my dad, and I keep watching until now I'm 25 already. So sad, my dad passed away a few years ago. I missed him
