      Is that a loop or a kit? Maschine got good kits that are pretty convincing. I'm new to Ableton & I am digging the quality in the sounds 👍

    Will, great tips/reminders as always.
    In terms of saving MIDI clips, I found a better way. Just drag the clip itself to any place in the Live Browser on the left. Not only is the MIDI information saved, but the actual instrument and chain you used too, with the file extension ALC.
    Later, you can click on that clip and can immediately preview the phrase with the original instrument/chain, rather than having to load or drag a "deaf" clip onto a track to hear its contents.
    As a bonus, I find this is the best way to save my favorite patches/presets of plug ins, because you can audition a decent phrase in the preview that showcases the character of the instrument. If you like it, you drag the clip onto a blank track, and the instrument chain and a good example are right there.

    notes keep on playing after its size in midi. how to stop that. i mean the sounds are sustaining beyond note length. this overlapse other sounds. please help

      Worth remembering though; sometimes notes and chords outside of the scale your in are useful, and if used properly can produce some really cool sounding musical compositions.

    Thanks. One question i still have. Copy e.g. the root-notes of a chord progression and put it 1 octave up or down "in one step". I do it marking them with the mouse and draging them with ALT to the new position. Whats your workflow for that? Cheers

      @@EDMTips If you could run the same kind of tutorial on Audio processing that would be great. Also, reverb - different types, when to se, how to set up the returns vs on-channel - that is something i struggle with.

    On the piano roll, I always see 4 beats per bar (4/4). Is there a way to change it to 3/4 for example? Thank you!

    How do i keep the grid from changing say from quarter notes to 8th notes when inputing notes on the piano roll grid? Its so annoying inputting the notes and it randomly switching

    I have a question. In the piano roll I want to pan individual midi notes but it seems that there isn't a pan option at the bottom where the velocity for the notes are.

    guys I'm new to abelton 11....Im having a slight issue with navigating the grid in the key editor...it doesn't let me zoom out past 4 bars worth....Even if I select a 16 bar region in the arrangement view....Any ways round this? Its very hampering.

    im using yamaha hs8s to listen to this and the last few videos i have been getting really high frequency transient artifacts from the mic! Idk if its only me but it is really distracting :(

      @@mitchmarsili I’m glad I could make you laugh man, always happy to help others :D however, I want to see your evidence to “those who follow the herd think it is the daw that makes their songs beautiful”, as I’ve never seen this to be the case.
      I, for one, use ableton, and I’ve seen myself how amazingly the DAW inspires creativity and has a great workflow, and this aligns with the fact of how it is the most used DAW at the top level - it is at this level for a reason of course!
      Although, I have never once thought to myself - “I’m using ableton, and therefore my songs are all beautiful!” This is a very strange proposition indeed ;)

      @@Atrionix I do not doubt that ableton is a good daw ... but on several channels I have noticed many ableton users tend to belittle other daw without even knowing them ... nothing personal my comment was not directly related to you, but it was my opinion in general ...Then it also depends on the genre you do

    One question to tip 11 is there way to make the notes short. Say you have a Legato line but you want the notes all the same short length…

      Highlight all and then hover over one near the end of the until the ] shows, you can then drag to shorten and shortening one will shorten all.
