RC Crawling is a fairly new concept to me. I didn’t really get it and thought you’d need something really expensive to do the tough obstacles but this video has blown that assumption away for me. Very impressive 👍🏼
The FTX Ravine is about £100. All i have done to mine is added some alloy wheel weights to the front axel, and the new tyres and metal beadlocks. (Grip and low down weight). If you search back through my videos, on the Ravine playlist there is one of it vs Phil's (TomleyRC) £1,000 "Golden Goat" capra build. The only thing that let the Ravine down in that video was the tyres and rims, i have fixed that now !!!!
you can also get the danchee ridge rock. it is basically the same thing. I have seen a lot of people run 3s directly out of the box as well. I am going to be using the ridgerock to make a budget we rock style scale buggy.
@@sweeneyTodd-de4by excellent. I also post to my Facebook page daily. (Currently doing the 24 days of Christmas, thanks to Matchbox ) so my page is worth a follow also
Lead weights on the servos is a good idea, I did that soon after I bought my Ravine. I bought better tires for mine and also added lead weight to the inner "well" of each wheel. But to be honest, your crawling would benefit from bigger and softer tires. You'd increase axle cllearance
@@SharkysGarageRCandMore there is a mod tttt There is a mod called council capra mod which involves moves esc to battery area which gives more clearance great vid👍
i gotta ask, what do you think on the twin esc conversion that allows for dig function? also you think a tamiya blackfoot or midnight pumpkin body would look good on one of these?
I think if your going twin esc, you might as well start a build on another rig. The ravine is awesome, but i don't think it needs dig. Because you have 4ws. If you are at a point where you need dig as well as 4ws then a different chassis may be the right time.
Love how quiet it runs
Just been letting it play watching them all
Cracking rig . Great crawling mate 😊👍
nice wheels and tires and great crawling

Really nice course and video!
Those blue wheels are sweet
They make such a difference !
Awesome course my rc friend, great obstacles, great job 🆒️💪👍
The BERCC is fantastic
Great cars for the price.👍
amazing what you can do with just those upgrades
I wonder what you bought exactly, maybe you mention it in another video
Injora metal 2.2 beadlocks (though Treal from GCRC are my go to wheels now) which are no longer available and Austar "Hyrax" tyres.
At certain points you could have used 4wheel steering to decrease turning circle. Now I have to convince my wife I need a new rc to be happy! Lolol
Nice rims mate, goes well with the body colour 👍🏻
I love them Injora.... Got them direct.
those wheels look great !
They are stunning. And the beadlocks are from the rear
@@SharkysGarageRCandMore I like that, has kept it looking quite clean .
