the whole idea of all bolts provided and fit straight in place. lol
the bar can and will fit on top the bar has been bent to give extra clearance for a longer servo horn.

Been having great fun with the Ravine. Out the box the original tyres hit the lower suspension arms when steering at full lock. Cured this by adding a set of 15mm hex extensions (cost Zero as I 'borrowed' them from another 1/10 RC car that is waiting for other parts) After a couple of runs I changed the tyres for FTX Canyon but reduced the outer diameter of the white foams in the canyon tyres by about 10mm. This allows the tyre tread to spread but still provides sidewall support I made my own stainless steel lower suspension links to improve clearance and raised the belly pan up by removing 15mm from the sides of the central chassis unit. Rather than extending the shock tower points up I used 4 elastic hair bands as 'shock bands' which reduced the CG improving stability when traversing across slopes and off camber surfaces. With these simple, free modifications it is a very capable crawler that cost under £100 all in.. NOTE: When You add weight to the vehicle check your plastic drive cups for excessive wear where the drive pins contact them, even when well greased they will wear very quickly if You add too much weight. With 160g of added weight at the front hubs the front drive cups were badly worn after only a few hours of use. I reduced the weight to 60g and the wear rate was significantly reduced. Have Fun but make sure Your gear train is well greased and keep an eye on those drive cups!

Thought those links look familiar lol.....just put a set on my boys ravine last week made by that chap.... they are quality...cant fault them. Made everything look and feel much more sturdy
