Mr. Wilson: You are VERY fortunate to have acquired Mr. Ayoob for your team. He is a well-respected jewel, and all of us have learned so much from him. Keep up the good work.
-- Love to seem the two of them bring Paul Harrel in for a special, say a 3 way conversation concerning various issues. But yes, you're 100 percent correct.
"He who teaches, learns". So true. I didn''t learn how to fly airplanes well, even getting my commercial pilot's license, until after I became a flight instructor. Then I spent many hours a day teaching students over a period of about 5 years. Then I started to feel like I was beginning to learn to do it correctly. It took thousands of hours to hone my skills, which are highly perishable, I might add.
There were aspects of basic private pilot flying that suddenly made more sense after obtaining my instrument rating. I can only imagine how much becoming a CFI helped you!
@@jimmyfrazier3761 The SFX9 is basically just a 1911 redesigned from the ground up to be a double stack 9mm. Bill wasn't the first to do that either. Not saying Bill Wilson isn't a significant figure in firearms history, but comparing him to JMB is not even close.
This almost spoke to my soul. When I was a kid my first handgun that was my own was a Colt Python that my dad gave me. Man, o Man was that a nice gun. Somebody stole my Python. Today I carry Smiths because those were my Dad's guns and now mine. 1911s are comfortable and nice. I am hoping that the family gun safe has one similar to yours, that my Dad would have picked or built. Good job!
As always, a great video. Thank You Mas and Bill!! I would also like to mention how great it is to have a man like Bill speak so candidly and honestly about other manufacturers’ gun. Your knowledge is much appreciated!!
When he asked which historical figures Bill would like to converse with, my mind instantly went to JMB, Teddy, & Elmer Keith. He instantly hit 2/3. I like your style Mr. Wilson.
I’m thankful that we get to hear and see Massad on a regular basis now. Never enough Ayoob! And it’s also nice to hear from Mr. Wilson. That hunting story was awesome, I hope to hear more.

I have enjoyed and learned a lot from many of the episodes, but this one was special. If Bill ever gets to sit and talk with John M. Browning, please God grant me the opportunity to sit, listen, and learn from both of them! What a fantastic episode!
I'm a 64 year old woman. My husband and I were missionaries for years in the former Czechoslovakia (yes, we own a few CZs). When a particular president was elected, my husband said, "when we get back to the US, we are going to buy some guns." Well, that was 2012 and he hasn't stopped yet. I'm in the market for a revolver and immediately started researching Ruger GP100 after your recommendation. BTW - we just moved to NE, Texas and we are practically neighbors, Mr. Wilson.
Really like hearing from Mr.Wilson. WC products are so nice with the highest of reputations and you almost forget that Bill is just a normal down to earth guy. I'm from nearby OK and he just reminds me of any other guy you'd run into at a gun show or your local range
Great video and thanks for your insight. I thoroughly enjoyed what you had to say. I could see the gleam in your eye when you mentioned how you would like to do something with bolt guns. I wish you great success with your acquisition of Ultra-Lite Arms 👍🇺🇸
@@gowilsoncombat careful now.. I don't think he's going to get the couple hundred thousand comments he wants. 😂😂😂 On a serious note.. thank you for an excellent channel and very very informative videos. Stay safe and God bless. 🙏🔥🇺🇸
Mass, I agree 100% with “ He who teaches learns”. As an academy and in service instructor. I always made it a point at the end of each class what I had learned from them that training session.
1. What drills would you recommend to increase proficiency for those of us who do (advisedly or ill-advisedly) carry a revolver? 2.. If you could make a Wilson Combat revolver, what features would it have?
I'd say proficiency in use of speed loaders on the reload would be my suggestion lol. I don't consider revolvers a bad choice either my first CCW was a double action 32 H&R Mag Snub 5 shot revolver
The question about "improvements to the original 1911" interested me. I think the follow up question would be: can you comment on the transition from the 1911 to the 1935 Hi-Power? Did the changes make a better gun ? This might hold some additional interest as Springfield is now offering their SA-35 version of the Hi-Power. Another follow up question might explore the question "why did the Hi-Power slip into dis-use while the 1911 soldiered on?" Nostalgia? 45ACP? U.S. Army preference? Other notes that could be addressed might cover the Hi-Power briefly offered in 40S&W and the discussion could explore the size and weight of thre Hi-Power: Is the Hi-Power an "intermediate" weight pistol? I think so. The 1911 is probably a "belt gun" while many of the new compact pistols such as the Sig 365 might be a better choice of a CPL pistol. There might be enough questions here for a John Browning Video!
bill wilsons a genius and maas is excellant also.I like my colt python blue six inch barrel and smith wesson 686 very good revolvers. Keep up the good work in the videos
It is amazing how the 1911 carries on. It makes me happy to see so many being carried in public by responsible owners. Wild hogs are often taken with a 1911. The closest thing to a cat I almost finished was a coon that I pinned to the ground with an arrow. I thought it was going to climb up my leg. If it hadn't been foaming at the mouth I might have had it for dinner. As it is I got lucky thanks to a good bleat caller. She was delicious we all ate meat for a week. Thanks for all the good conversation. I like a fixed barrel, the simpler the better, just because there is less that can go wrong. Keeping firearms locked out of sight when unattended is most important, not just locked in a car or truck. There are criminals who follow gun owners looking for a chance to take their weapon.
I think one of the coolest things you can do is go hang out with Bill ,Ken and Massad. To hang out to talk to go hunting and to train with those fellas for a couple days just imagine the wealth of knowledge you could Attain
I can't wait for the Lehigh monolithic bullets and loaded cartridges to come into full-scale production at the new facilities. I hope that everything is going smoothly and to schedule. A steady and reliable source of top-quality defensive and hunting ammo would be a welcome change from the current shortages in many of the less-popular chamberings.
I'd be interested in hearing more about the 300 HAMR and the capabilities of the round much further the previous videos. As well as some limitations in range and zeroing.
First a comment: thank you for keeping scattergun tech going. I love mine so much. Question for Bill and company: I’ve always wanted to work for Wilson Combat in the marketing or product departments. How do I get my resume in front of the right people. serious question.
Such a wealth of knowledge from both of you master shooters, would love to hear you comments on the Smith model 27, pinned and recessed revolver, I love mine.

Why did Mr. Wilson retain the barrel link and not go to a link less barrel in his updated double stack pistols? Advantages/disadvantages of each system: the swinging link barrel system vs the link less system. Second time asking.
Loved this one for sure! I have a question that I have pondered for the last 4 or 5 months, why are some gun companies making new variations of the 10mm pistol? I just don't see the point given the price and scarcety of the ammo.
Bill, a good vid and I hope it becomes a permanent part of your videos, which always entertain and educate! Thanks to you and Mas for these! What question would you like Bill to answer?
Would you build an AK 47 under the Wilson brand and high quality AK
Is the Beretta "tip up barrel" sound and could it be effective for larger calibers? (Using a non-straight blowback action)
Will Sig WCP320 slides ever be available as a stand alone item?!
I want to work for Wilson in marketing or product. How do I get my resume in front of the right people? :)
Is it ideally to have a magazine for every ten rounds in 20 and 50 round box of ammo? I have a 1911 colt goverment competition in .45 acp
