You guys are honestly the cutest! This album is definitely one of my favourites. I'll mention the background of some of the songs while I'm here too. So DLC is written by Changbin and is my favourite song on the album. We think the music video is based off Billy Elliot, which is about a young kid who wants to dance ballet but is pushed into boxing instead. It's a really good movie and stage show if you're interested. Get Lit and Collision are both written by Han. The Korean title of get lit is 죽어보자 which literally translates to "let's die" which contradicts the lyrics of "we're not gonna die young", so that's kind of interesting. FNF was written by Bang Chan and Felix in remembrance of the wildlife and plant life lost in Australian bushfires. It also talks about longing to catch up to someone or something that's already passed away. The music video is set between Melbourne and Sydney. Youtiful and Time Out are songs that were written for Stay, but Time Out was released as a single last year then later added to this album. Chan was going to release Youtiful as part of the Skz-Replay album but because it was such a good song, it was moved to this album and sung with all eight members. The Sound is originally in Japanese and the most noticeable lyric change was instead of singing "this is the sound, it's our sound" in the chorus, they say "this our 음악장, it's our 음악장" where 음악장 translates roughly to "music arena" I think.

Han went to an international school for high school in Malaysia. So he is technically fluent, but he isn't confident with his grammar. Also, that's why he has a British accent, cause he learned English in Malaysia

You guys should definitely watch the introduction videos for this album. There's 1 part which is talking about the album, a 2nd with dance practice (for sclass) and 3rd for behind the scenes of recording s-class. There's also a special video they put of for stayweek recording 3 other songs: ITEM, Topline and Youtiful The member you pointed out in youtiful was actually Han. There are obviously fluent members in english (aussies) but majority of stray kids are really good at it aswell, not fluent but extremely good for it not being a first language (Han and Seungmin are good examples) . They are also quite good at Japanese, specifically lee know. He struggled with English so instead continued to learn Japanese since other members are already good English speakers.
Ps you should watch the behind-the-scenes on making this album. You will appreciate them even more 💚 Seungmin is also pretty good at English and Han but I am proud of them all for speaking English

For every one song I like from the get-go, there are like 3 that I have to listen 2+ times before they click and then they’re amazing and I have no idea why I didn’t love them from the start 😅 The ITEM choreography is so fun! Love the Pac-Man part. Superbowl’s music video uses the Japanese version of the song, but the version in the 5 Star album is originally in English. Youtiful made me tear up when I first heard it 🥹 it’s so cute. The Sound Japanese song and video were released in February in a Japanese album. 5-Stars had a Korean version. And Time Out was a single that dropped last year, but it finally got put in an album. And yeah Disney pop rock vibes lol I didn’t care for it at first but it grew on me 😌 Anyway loved the reaction! DLC is my favorite song off the album! it’s mainly written by changbin and it was released during Pride month. it has a lot of references to the lgbtq community! the music they based it on is house music which came from drag and house parties in the community (for alot of people in the community these parties were the only interaction they could safely have with the community) so dancing also became important as well- hence ‘dance like crazy’. also the boxing scene with suengmin is a reference to billy elliot which is an important movie in the lgbtq community because it touches on gender norms, homosexuality, and masculinity. the lyrics talk about just dancing and escaping from regular life and norms, again referencing the community. plus the producer of the video is one of the very few openly gay men in korea (stray kids have actually worked with him alot) so this song is super special to me and i love it!! lol

Then Seungmin is fluent, Han is mostly fluent, Hyunjin is also really good. Changbin, I.N and Lee Know of course know a lot of English too, since members (Felix, Chan, Seungmin) often speak English between themselves. So basically everyone in the group is good with English but mostly Chan, Felix, Seungmin, Han and Hyunjin pretty much fluent

But I also love your reactions to other groups because it also helps me open up to other k-pop groups, so Thank you ❤ because most of the time I really don't know where to start 😅. Some notes: Chris ( Bang Chan 😅) is not the only one fluent in English. Him and Felix are both Australian. In fact, when Felix first arrived in Korea he only knew a bit of Korean and has been leaning the language for the past few years, and now he is fluent. But we still get those cute moments where Felix learns new words from the members😊. Han, Seungmin and Hyunjin can also speak English. Han is often referred to as the British member of the group, Seungmin is like the American member and Hyunjin is like the 3rd Australian in the group (all because of their accents when speaking English). Recently Changbin has been more open to speaking English during English interviews, concerts, etc. and it seems like he is trying to learn the language (really proud of him). It is rare to have I.N and Lee Know speak English. Lee Know seems to struggle more, but he tries😫. But! He is the only member who is fluent in Japanese so thats a plus🎉. But all in all every Korean member seems to understand English when it is spoken to them so no problem there. Also I Really, REALLY!!! Recommend you react to SKZ Code, Straykids Compilation video, SKZ lives and other things. As K-pop fans we realize that it's not just about liking or loving their music. Because unlike in other industries we get the opportunity to learn and know more about our favorite artists. Watching things like lives and Compilation videos helps you realize just how hard they work and literally makes Love them even more😊. If you guys are going to react to their Compilation videos I recommend you start by doing each member individually. IKR. THEY'RE SO VERSATILE! Tbh, before i was a stay, i thought their music was the same, bc the title tracks were like that. But once i actually became i stay and listened to A LOT of their music, i realized how versatile their music is too. It's nice that you noticed that.
Stray Kids has such a wide range of genre's. But at the same time, they are rap heavy. They can do that because 1. they are super talented and 2. they write and produce their own music. That last video was shot while they were on tour in the U.S. in L.A.

Stray Kids are one of my favorite groups for sure! There are so many gems in their discography and the members are super talented. I enjoyed all songs from this album but The Sound and Topline are on another level for me. Item and S-class are bops as well. My top recommendation would be Case 143 and when it comes to other kpop groups, I think Everglow is worth checking out

DLC is my favorite song off the album! it’s mainly written by changbin and it was released during Pride month. it has a lot of references to the lgbtq community!
the music they based it on is house music which came from drag and house parties in the community (for alot of people in the community these parties were the only interaction they could safely have with the community) so dancing also became important as well- hence ‘dance like crazy’.
also the boxing scene with suengmin is a reference to billy elliot which is an important movie in the lgbtq community because it touches on gender norms, homosexuality, and masculinity. the lyrics talk about just dancing and escaping from regular life and norms, again referencing the community. plus the producer of the video is one of the very few openly gay men in korea (stray kids have actually worked with him alot) so this song is super special to me and i love it!! lol

The last video was a gift to Stays during their anniversary. They went on vacation and decided to record a song. So it’s just a fun song.
You should watch Kingdom Legendary War. It is a Kpop show where Kpop groups compete in performances against each other to see who is best. Stray Kids killed it and all the performances from everyone was amazing!

42:50 I'm sure more ppl told you by now, but Bang Chan and Felix grew up in Australia, so they are of course fluent in English. Then Seungmin is fluent, Han is mostly fluent, Hyunjin is also really good. Changbin, I.N and Lee Know of course know a lot of English too, since members (Felix, Chan, Seungmin) often speak English between themselves. So basically everyone in the group is good with English but mostly Chan, Felix, Seungmin, Han and Hyunjin pretty much fluent

I LOVE y'alls reaction videos, especially to Straykids💙. But I also love your reactions to other groups because it also helps me open up to other k-pop groups, so Thank you ❤ because most of the time I really don't know where to start 😅.
Some notes: Chris ( Bang Chan 😅) is not the only one fluent in English. Him and Felix are both Australian. In fact, when Felix first arrived in Korea he only knew a bit of Korean and has been leaning the language for the past few years, and now he is fluent. But we still get those cute moments where Felix learns new words from the members😊.
Han, Seungmin and Hyunjin can also speak English. Han is often referred to as the British member of the group, Seungmin is like the American member and Hyunjin is like the 3rd Australian in the group (all because of their accents when speaking English). Recently Changbin has been more open to speaking English during English interviews, concerts, etc. and it seems like he is trying to learn the language (really proud of him). It is rare to have I.N and Lee Know speak English. Lee Know seems to struggle more, but he tries😫. But! He is the only member who is fluent in Japanese so thats a plus🎉.
But all in all every Korean member seems to understand English when it is spoken to them so no problem there.
Also I Really, REALLY!!! Recommend you react to SKZ Code, Straykids Compilation video, SKZ lives and other things.
As K-pop fans we realize that it's not just about liking or loving their music. Because unlike in other industries we get the opportunity to learn and know more about our favorite artists. Watching things like lives and Compilation videos helps you realize just how hard they work and literally makes Love them even more😊.
If you guys are going to react to their Compilation videos I recommend you start by doing each member individually. Reason being Straykids are the most CHAOTIC, LOUD and SUS group you can ever come across 😂. So videos like " Felix is the Sunshine of Straykids", " Bang Chan being so done with his member", "Seungmin is the Menace of Straykids", "Han is the Ace of Straykids", etc. Should be good for now.

Also skz released a 5 star album recording video, its a bit long so its up to you if you want to watch it. Skz code is the name of their show. Also also, i highly recommend the skz world domination guide by icetye if you want to get to know skz more, its a really good entertaining documentary video about skz. ❤

In today's Kpop when groups hardly exceed 15 mins of their albums, full length albums are somehow getting very less and I'm so glad they made an album or more than 36 minutes. Stray Kids has such a wide range of genre's. But at the same time, they are rap heavy. They can do that because 1. they are super talented and 2. they write and produce their own music. That last video was shot while they were on tour in the U.S. in L.A.

if you guys like stray kids discography, i think you’d really like p1harmonys as well! they’re not exactly the same style but they kind of appeal to a similar audience. i know you’ve listened to two of their title tracks but the rest of their title tracks are even better (i really recommend back down and do it like this!) and their disco is one of my favorites in kpop, it’s immaculate

For more background info, every album has an introduction video where they talk about the songs and it's very insightful and interesting. The one for 5-Star even has 3 parts (Part 1 talking about the songs, 2 dance practice, 3 recording of the songs).
Regarding 5-Star:
- Super Bowl is an english song, the MV for the japanese version was for their latest japanese EP (with Social Path)
- The Sound is actually the title track of their japanese album 'The Sound' that was released this February. 5-Star just had the korean version.
- In general they don't mix korean and japanese songs on one album, but they will occasionally put korean/ japanese version of already existing songs on a korean/ japanese album
- Get Lit and Collision were written by Han
- DLC was written by Changbin
- FNF was written by Bang Chan and Felix and is dedicated to the animals and nature lost in the australian wildfires in 2019!
- Youtiful was written by Chan
- Time Out was actually released August 2022 for Stay's birthday and is therefore dedicated to the fans
And btw you'll get a hang of their voices. It can be challenging at times, especially when it's not their normal style like Felix' higher/ soft vocals, Changbin's soft vocals etc.

Stray Kids are one of my favorite groups for sure! There are so many gems in their discography and the members are super talented. I enjoyed all songs from this album but The Sound and Topline are on another level for me. Item and S-class are bops as well.
My top recommendation would be Case 143 and when it comes to other kpop groups, I think Everglow is worth checking out
