I have heard a Luftwaffe night fighter pilot remark what a formidable foe the Mosquito was.

Yes but the glue plant was bombed out of existence. And their design was no where near as good.

Thank you so much for your great coverage of the Mosquito, and other aircraft of the era... I talked with one gentleman who flew Mosquitoes, and he, like so many others, loved to fly it, in spite of having to manage the little issues with power and yaw.

and yet its the Lancaster that was the darling of the RAF. This plane needs more recognition for its contribution to the allied effort. The fatality rate of 10% compared to the other bomber force too.

We have a Canadian built Lancaster in Hamilton Ontario 1 of 2 still flying in the world I think it was 2016 when it flew to England and flew with the other RAF Lancaster and a few spits and Hurricanes Both the Mossie and Lancaster cleared the way for its part in the war Some with Honor and death on both sides But you have to admit Both these planes out classed many others

I was at the Wright -Patterson air museum in Ohio and saw a USA marked Mosquito that was painted light blue. A recon unit.
