    Just got my ZX and upon first bike ride already got a nail in my back tire. Boy is a heavy bike to walk with. When the inner tire is deflated the outer wheel comes off really easy but getting the rear wheel of is a heavy task. Luckily could do all the stuff myself and patched the inner tube.
    I'm from The Netherlands, 5,5" (1,65m) and with my sneakers on can get on the ground flat footed.
    Enjoy the bike and thanks for review

    Great review, i've been commuting on my ZX here in the UK for around 3 months now and love it, totally agree on the brakes, i've found my mechanical brakes have started to wear down quite a bit after some use, so I eventually will have to swap them out for hydraulics.

    • @ToniReviews
      @ToniReviews  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes I agree… I’m thinking about buying some non ebike brakes and removing the sensor in the brake levers and using standard hydraulics. Thanks for sharing your comments great to hear your feedback on your experience

    just a side note with the throttle options, you can still purchase an 'offroad' kit which you just plug a throttle directly to the spare female port at the front. so if you want to use this ebike throttle only you always have that option too. im in australia, so i have the eu version, my bike got shipped with the throttle in the box as the business i purchased my super73 s2 from included it. good review

      Hi Luke. Thanks for sharing. I’ve actually just purchased a throttle for £20 off Amazon and it’s literally a plug and play job. I’ll be doing a video on it shortly and I’ll also include the Amazon link if people are interested. Thanks for sharing your views, I’ll be interested to see how you find the bike and how you get one

    Brilliant review, loved the cinematic shots and level of detail 🙌 I've been thinking about picking one of these bad boys up for a while now and this has given me a lot to think about!

      Hi @whiteliontech . Glad you found it helpful. Looking back I wish I’d got some more detailed shots, but filming that day didn’t go to plan as I was chucked out of my first location, and had to film on the fly, but glad you found it useful. 👍 thanks for taking the time to comment too 😊

    You can buy hydraulic breaks with the Throttle Cut Connector on ....just plug it in there ...those connectors really good there water Ip rating is decent ...they have colours ...colours is number pins ...easy to get parts with correct connector just find hydraulic with ..."x number" of pins ..red ..yellow .....i think those ones it 2 pin yellow ...pull em apart u see ...make sure arrow lines up when plug in again ...

    Awesome detailed review! I've been talking myself down from an S2 to the ZX. I'd want to swap the forks out for some suspension but other than that it's perfect

    • @ToniReviews
      @ToniReviews  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I’d say go on a test ride and see what you think of both as the things you end up swapping out might end up costing you the price of an s2. I want to swap out the brakes for hydraulics as I’m not a big fan of mechanical, plus I wanted a motorcycle style front led headlight but the ax runs on a different Voltage so wouldn’t plug straight into the existing bikes cabling it would need an additional battery pack. For me and what I need it for the zx is fine but I wonder if I’d test rode the s2 if id have gone with that?

      @Lark572 ปีที่แล้ว

      I have a ZX and I don’t miss the suspension at all. Seat and tires are so great they absorb everything. Besides this for the street remember, those are street tires, so it’s not like you’re off roading with the ZX

    At last, a decent UK review, and from a fellow Triumph Street owner too. Thanks Toni.
    I've been hovering over the buy button on a Super 73 for a while now, my heart really wants one because I wasn't allowed a Raleigh Chopper when I was a kid, my head says buy a sensible ebike because I'll never get the shopping on a ZX and at my age I'm probably too old to hang with the kids looking cool - that's if Ealing has any.
    So now you've had it for a while what would you recommend? And how has it lasted? Super 73 and riding to Shoreditch to look cool or something sensible for the weekly ride to Sainsbury's?

    • @ToniReviews
      @ToniReviews  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Alex. So glad you found this helpful. To be fair if I had the opportunity would I buy one again the answer would probably be No. style wise I live the bike, and like the triumph there are so many modifications you can do to them… but here’s where the problem lies. I never take it out in the rain as I’ve seen too many stories of people’s hubs going wrong to to rusty or worn mechanisms, and to get replacement parts or support in the UK is a real mission. I had a couple of incidents with the Bluetooth dropping out and the bike switching of completely and the dealership I purchased it from told me to bring it in for a look, but the problem is this has happened on a couple of occasions. I’ve seen this can potentially be a battery pack issue, and even when a replacement has been sources the same things happened to people… so thankfully at the moment my bike seems to be behaving, however all the above reasons leave me hesitant to use it as much as I’d like. So if I was to purchase an ebike again it would probably be something like a vanmoof and forget the Super73 styling and appeal. Yes ea very fun bike especially if you over ride the default 16mph setting which I also heard they put a cap on in the uk and the Bluetooth was stopping people accessing the off road modeand a lot of people started to complain . All these things make it hard to enjoy the bike fully. Hope this makes sense and helps 👍

      @@ToniReviews that really helped, I think of it was a grand less, I'd probably go for it, but it's a lot of money to pay out for style, considering what's now available on the market.
      Then again, I could say the same thing about the Triumph, logically I should have bought a sensible Honda, but then I wouldn't have felt as cool rolling into the Bike Shed.
      Loving the rest of the channel by the way, you're really filling up a wet bank holiday Monday.

    So it doesn’t have a throttle?

    • @ToniReviews
      @ToniReviews  หลายเดือนก่อน

      It doesn’t come with a throttle, but I purchased one from Amazon for under £20 and it can be used completely throttle alone if you want (providing super 73 don’t change the app) which is the case with any app based bike

    Lot these cons on this bike not unique to that bike ...but it all Ebikes ....that with warranty and upgrades and water ...that every Ebike ..... My advice is be prepared to learn new skills on repair replace bike parts and electrical ..... Personally i got into Ebikes knowing nothing ....come out the other side building my own with a kit ....It a pain in the arse but i Love ebikes it all been worth while to me .... Picked up load of new skills got a self learning crash course in bike mechanics and electrical .....It been all worth while and those skills get used a lot now and learned to enjoy new fields like basic mechanics and electrical

      We’ll done, sounds like a journey you have enjoyed. I always fix my own stuff bikes vans cars homes, but I must say when you splash out 2.5k and it’s brand new you want it to work and you want the customer support. Having had it just over a month there are a few electrical problems already starting to show and having youtubed other’s experiences it looks like not much help comes from Super73 themselves. Test rode a vanmoof at the weekend and it felt like a solid well made bike. Also been on electric mountain bikes a fair bit which go through a hell of a lot and they take a battering in all weathers so I don’t see why there should be a difference in quality on the road versions of e-bikes? Hmmm a little baffling

      We still have the availability to derestrict the power. Our issue mainly is the weather and the legality to using the full power. It’s definitely more fun when you ride on full power. It seems the bike was made for use this way
