Located on the Olympic Peninsula you can get your Dungeness Crab (not to mention salmon and trout, etc) and have the Olympic Mountains to find your mushrooms. Check it out!

I've lived in WA state all my life and there is no more beautiful place on earth. Where you are camping and hiking is a natural rain forest. Yet only 4 hours drive to the east an you are in a high desert plateau with thousands of lakes and rivers. You can fish for salmon in a river that's in a busy suburban mall area. Absolutely AMAZING!

Yeah, those really looked like fragments of lobster mushroom. The big one you found later was amazing. Pickled witch's butter can be pretty good, like pickled wood ears.The shattered white mushroom was in the Lactarius genus (dubious edibility).

So jealous! I like that portable grill, I’ve seen negative comments on Amazon of people complaining that it doesn’t last or that it dissolves after the first use. Taku uses the grill all the time & everywhere I am really inclined to purchase it and do some KBBQ at home.
