I used Imagine 3D thru the quasi-PPC versions. I was part of the upgrade program after CAD-Technologies took over development from Impulse. Imagine v5.17 is the last version I have. Some components took advantage of the CSPPC. V6 was supposed to be a full PPC version. I don't know what happened to CAD Technologies or if Imagine went beyond v5.17. I say Amy-net too, not Ammy-net. If you truncate the Amiga name, do you call her Amy or Ammy? It's the JIF/GIF controversy for Amiga.
@@HoldandModify I do think the Blender thing is a cult. I don't really get it. I barely know anyone that uses it professionally but somehow it's become the mainstream go-to word for CG software. It's fascinating really.
I have a Panasonic cassette player that I bought in Japan 30 years ago that looks pretty similar to that. The model number is RQ-SX1V. (1V, not the Roman numeral.) I instantly lost its little rechargeable gumstick battery.
@@HoldandModify I mean, maybe? Maybe another Nova? I actually just googled ImageFX and perhaps not surprisingly there is other completely unrelated software using the ImageFX name now. I think that one's completely forgotten, but it used to be my main image processing software.
As I understand it, Lightwave did not work with video cards, but only with a chipset. It would not be bad to write modules that transfer work with the chipset to video cards. So to speak, a chipset emulator on a video card that is much faster than an outdated iron amiga.

I was using Real3D and it was painfully slow.
Old school is the best school!
Blender is almost as old as Lightwave. Been around since the late 80s. It aint new. It's not that great either, it's just free and good enough.

It works with lots of graphics card it’s only the preview playback part of LW that doesn’t work in RTG. For now.
