      www.GPcarAudio.com Hello I have a chrysler 300 3.5 06 and I plan to run this same ct sounds 7k with a team series Fi v2 and an Xs power lithium ion battery 15k do you guys make alternators for my vehicle? And if so how many amps would an alternator need to put out to keep up with this 7k amp?thnx

    That system realy rock solid!! that is very impressive how only 1200W can do 150dB in some SQ car and how 7000W+ is needed in some other cars to acheive the same dB.. My integra needed 1340W to give 149dB and my chevy Volt need 1600W to get 150dB SQ.. The Volt are very efficient for SPL as these are very similar to CRX shape but the Volt come with stock 185A 14.8V "alternator" ( witch in fact is a DC-Dc that convert the 400V battery to the 12V charging system) witch is very nice.... you draw 20A or 185A it still keep 14.80V!! EV are awsome also for SPL

    • @Angel.Garcia1
      @Angel.Garcia1 7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Matt Starking you need to purchase a module in order to keep your civic charging at 14 + volts. It's either purchase a module or turn on a accessory which makes your computer let your alternator charge at full rate. I always just turn on my running lights and voltage jumps up.

      So just getting an extra battery is fine? How does the stock alt charge two batteries?

    • @gpcaraudio
      @gpcaraudio  8 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      not all batteries are created equal, Northstar has extreme discharge and recharge rates allowing them to sustain a lot of power per dollar. its also always suggested even with a high output alternator to charge your batteries on a proper AGM charger after aggressive play. He will be adding an Ho alt for even more added performance, but for the time being, the Northstars are allowing him to play safely and continuously.

    ct sounds is garbage I have two tropo 15s and I have friends with louder setups with just 12 inch p3s

    • @gpcaraudio
      @gpcaraudio  8 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      Whats up man, The new amps i've seen in action have been a lot better and more reliable, the higher tier subwoofers have been doing well also and seem to be better designs. I know they had manufacturing issues with their amps a couple years ago where they'd have problems quickly even on stellar electrical, unfortunately that was beyond CT's control as when these companies order from overseas it can be risky. If the subwoofer is even only a half way decent design its all going to boil down to the enclosure and install. We have a team vehicle running all P3 12"s, built the enclosure to the physics of the drivers along with quarter wave tuning, took 3rd place at finals, beating many other brands said to be louder and only on about 3,000 watts.
      There's always so many variables.

      ian wray why garbage men? whats your setup??

    • @Se7enMiIe
      @Se7enMiIe 8 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      ian wray what kind of amp you running? Get a custom box built and there's no way your friends with 12s will be louder then you.

    • @ianwray893
      @ianwray893 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      I bought the subs specifically because they were supposed to be good entry level subs. Having a custom made box and pforessional grade amp defeats the point of them being "entry level". The p3s and the troops cast the same and both me and friend are running a hifonics 2400 as the subs are with 50 watts each of the same rms rating and enclosure is around 50 pounds heavier than his. The p3 are not only louder but clearer and hit harder on the same watts and deck I've put his setup in my car with the same results. I would definitely go with the p3s or even a compvr over the troops any day. Complete garbage.

    • @Se7enMiIe
      @Se7enMiIe 8 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      ian wray I see you don't know much about subs and how things work. I would say there's no such thing as entry level subs, just subs that handle less wattage. And the enclosure being heavier means nothing. Prefab boxes are trash.
      The enclosure is 80 precent of your system, the proper box with any sub including "entry level" will make your system! Get a custom enclosure designed and build you a box and you won't regret it.
