I just got these yesterday. Wore them for several hours and was pretty impressed. They sound really good, better than I was expecting. As the design suggests, if the outside noise gets really loud, they're hard to hear. Saw there was a firmware update already that added the auto volume. I was able to get them at a discount, which helped. For $300 probably a bit too much for what they are, but if you can get a discount, go for it. They're not a replacement for in-ears, but for certain scenarios, I am going to prefer having these.
Nice. Glad to hear you got a deal. I wish I did. LOL. Doing firmware update now to test and see what has improved
What about the bass and volume? Are they good? same as apple airpods 3rd gen?
I picked these up on Amazon yesterday and really like them. I updated my firmware, and it definitely improved call quality
I need to check. So new firmware is out! Updating now. That was fast!
Just got mine…I love them! No ear fatigue. They work for me.
Listening to this vid with the Ultra Open, really good sound quality for an open earbud.
for sure. Super suprised
Call quality improved after update?
My favorite You tube review guy. Thank you for reviewing this ones
I got the Freeclips from Huawei and it's awesome. Curious how these two compare to each other.
I have the same and I am impressed with them
Does the sound leak if you crank up the volume? I'm always concerned about not letting people around hear what I'm hearing and considering the design, I'd like to know if you noticed something like that.
Freeclips from HUAWEI?
Great quality content. Wondering How's the bass compared to other open-earbuds? I still rock the buds live because I can't find anything similar.
They are actually great. You still need to compete with the noise around you but its there for sure. Check out my audio test in the video. i am wearning binural mics in my ears when I recorded it. So this is real sound,
So it’s not good for phone call? This will be a deciding factor for me so I want to use this for phone calls
Very interesting🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 buds
They are good but not 300 dollars good like 120 good maybe
Yeah, too expensive for sure. Especially since no noise cancellation
@@ebpman I know they sound great and are comfortable but like other open ear once you get to a loud Gym or like loud City traffic fails all day but other than that it awesome can't wait to use them in spring summer
@@ebpman How are you going to dance noise when the ear canal is purposefully open to let noise in? make it make sense
The sony linkbuds are $179 and they absolutely suck!! Compared to the bose ultra...if bose ultra worth $120 then the linkbuds are worth $1.20
Got these today. Returning tomorrow. No wireless charging. Seriously Bose? Music/video doesn't automatically stop when you take the earbuds out, unlike every other earbud on the market for the last five years. Deal breakers both. Also super figgity to put on. definitely a two hand job. The roll thing. The weird placement. Plus they put a button right where you would normally pinch when putting these on.
Can you initiate a phone call with these? Like with beats or apples
Call quality is really bad.
5:18 Shaking my head to ever wears them like that. You know who you are. lol
Hey, your thumbnail has the wrong box. Just saying
sound is wonderful nice, but microphone is not good , left ear not have microphone, other party not heard well, I am not happy with it :(
Hombre how are you I don't think those earbuds are that great listen I'll stick to my Samsung buds pro 2 I love those and I have other ones take care good video guidante😅😅😅😅😅😅
I am still having mixed feeling about these. I find the fit well for all day usage but calls or still meh
@@ebpman well I don't like them and I don't like the way they look they don't look like earrings they just look like headphones in your hair so don't worry about it but still I wouldn't spend that kind of money on those I'll wait for the Galaxy buds 3 pro which maybe they'll come out in September I'm not sure but the Galaxy buds pro 2 just a great pair of headphones so it's okay I still have my old ones and it's fine take care
@irlanda2699 I'm pretty sure this style of "open" earbuds are not here to take the place of in earbuds, as much as luv in ear buds they start to irritate my ears, and for someone like me that loves to also be aware of my surroundings these are good, but not $300 worth good but if it has Bose name on it, they are gonna charge you, but I'm not gonna knock the design it's not for everyone and that goes for in ear buds, for instance the Samsung buds pro 2 look like balls in your ear and the design for me is too bulky and they won't stay seated, now that may be different for you but every has a preference 👍🏾👍🏾
Just got the Bose for Diamond 60th Edition from QVC for $250 including tax ($20 off for new customer) and I gotta say: total disappointment. I don't agree the sound quality of Bose is better than the Shokz. These Bose are going back. I was at least hoping the sound quality would justify the price. I have heard other reviewers say the sound and the fit of the Bose were A+. The only thing they win is the design and fit. The design is cool how it hooks, but that is all. Shokz is hands down better and they feel great wearing them for hours.
My Bose arrived defective and were driving me crazy for like 5 day. Sound was subpar and I could not believe people were impressed by the sound. I started thinking, maybe I got bad ones, that is when I stumbled on a "fix". I had to do a "reset". You have to push the back button and hold for 20 to 30 seconds till light shut down, then do this 3 more times. There is a video that shows you, the instructions by Bose were not good and I failed to reset. Until I found a video that showed me and I saw I had mistakenly believed I had done the reset properly, when I had actually failed. This is a fail on Bose really as they made this process confusing. So after this the sound was greatly improved after that, I prefer listening to them with the surround feature on. However I will still be sending these back as they are a defective unfinished sub-par product. Bose should be ashamed of this product. Seems to me like they are just throwing darts hoping for a good product. They have no quality control. The issue that remains with these earphones are the following: bad mic for calls, random static noise or crackling, split second lost of connections which leads to distortions and crackling happening randomly to left or right side, and finally the bass is just not impressive.
That is some terrible call quality. You are the only reviewer on TH-cam saying it’s good
Got the Huawei freeclips instead. The bose are goof but seriously overpriced for what you actuslly get.
Lol.... the entire time you were discussing the proper way to wear them I kept waiting for the punchline, putting them directed toward the ear canal seemed logical from the moment you brought it up......
Yeah, i dont get why they are using these the way I described. Funny but makes you think
Bose must be out of their minds pricing these headphones at $300.00. No multipoint, wireless charging, in ear detection, and these headphones are not the first of its kind. There are plenty of ear clip style headphones on the market and much, much, cheaper. Bose U need to revamp the price on these headphone. If not these headphones will be a flop just like the first open style ear headphones, remember those headphones BOSE👎🏽👎🏽👎🏽
Apple products are overpriced too, rebranded and overpriced. People for whatever the reason will spend large sums of money for their products, just don't get it.
