Laura Jean makes me MISS our mobile home we raised our kids in! I would love to have the small, cozy place again. Love when she post pictures on IG !!! This was such a great idea! I just bought 4 “watch faces” off of IG Lives ( become addicted to those …..oh my ! ) and YES they were expensive and just a WATCH FACE..not even a clock face ! ❄️❄️🌲🌲❄️❄️
Fabulous tutorial.. they turned out so good! I started my collection of vintage clock faces almost two years ago, y’all are right, they’re getting harder to find & certainly more expensive.. this will be a fantastic way to add a few extras on my tree next year. Love the black dial.. I’ll be making some of those for sure! 🖤
Love this idea!!! My great grandmother loved clocks, I wish she was still alive as I would love to decorate her Christmas tree in antique clocks…, she would have been thrillled!! Thank you so much for sharing.❤
Oh sut the door! I adore these clock faces & I will never throw away another paint an lid! This may even inspire me to do a desperately-needed garage clean-up so I can find the ones I already have. As long as you went to the trouble of drilling a hole, it would have been easy to put a battery operated pair of hands on the back & have some of them merrily ticking down the seconds until Christmas! And I am crazy mad about your kitten-proof tree---I have no kittens, but I'm definitely getting out my spindle stash & the candle lights for one of my trees. Oooo, the inside lids of canning jars, which cannot be reused---those would be perfect for little clock faces. Hitting the Subscribe button now!
Thank you for being here and for subscribing we sure do appreciate it. Great idea about the clock hands that would be super cute to have a functional one. Oh yes canning jar lids would be awesome. Run with some of your ideas and have a blast creating! Hope to see you again soon!
Love the clock faces. I'll be trying this. And would be perfect for a New Years tree if you want to leave it up a little longer. Just add some 2025 hangers 😂
I’ve been mooning over your clock face tree for about two weeks now. 😊 so excited to find this tutorial. Did the Etsy clock face download have to be enlarged? Thanks for sharing y’all’s creativity!
I saw a video on TH-cam where a lady decorated her tree with clock faces. It was so stunning! I will definitely be trying this next year for Christmas since I've already finished my decorating for this year. Your kitten proof tree is gorgeous, Lynne! Do you have information to give on those clip-on candles, and does the flame flicker or move back and forth? Thanks so much!!!
Ok but if I use all the products you used for this, it totals $117 and that's before tax and shipping! Plus there is the cost of purchasing the download for the clock faces (which you didn't include the link.) There has to be a cheaper way.
Well, I did not use the entire containers of products for these. And certainly, you can use whatever paint or products you have. You can finish them anyway you like. Still, we created about 40 clock faces with the small amount of product used from each container. ( the remainder will be used for hundreds of other projects ) If I were to buy 40 antique clock faces at $10 a piece , a minimum price in the market…. $400. plus the hours and hours of searching for these clock faces. For me, this was a very budget friendly and Quick option for the look I wanted. 😊 .
Love the music too!

Love this idea. I just got rid of about 15 cans of paint…..there went the lids😢

I’ve been mooning over your clock face tree for about two weeks now. 😊 so excited to find this tutorial. Did the Etsy clock face download have to be enlarged?
Thanks for sharing y’all’s creativity!
Thank you for joining us! No, I just printed the clock faces as they were.
Amazing! I hope to try it soon. :). do you think using resin for the last step (varnish) would work? Thank you for being so generous with your art.
I think it could work… sure. Good idea!

The flame flickers. 😊
@ellenjgoods Thanks, Lynne!
Nice! How long does the first coat need to dry?
Depends on your situation. The medium is dry when it’s clear. 😊
I love love this idea. The rusty paint can lids? IDK, I haven't gotten my tetanus shot in a very long time.
🤣🎄🤣
