I have watched it twice already. I got so inspired I found a clock on market place and wanna do a look like this but may reverse the colors because I have creamy milk paint on hand. And do a blue green underneath to bring back out. I'm so excited to paint mine.
Have yall ever had a clock that chimes on the hour and on certain hours it doesn't stop chimming? Ever hour I've had it it has worked fine but at 10 o clock it won't stop chiming?
Loved it! And am still laughing at the lyric placement. Whoever put the “my body doesn’t move like that that” right after you broke that piece off was brilliant. And it is “hard to be this real”when panning over the faux aged finish product. Chief’s kiss.

I’m going to revamp an old grandfather clock that we have into a shelf, and at bottom a spot for wine bottles. I want to make it antique white or either this color so this helps!!!
That old mechanism is a treasure for people making steampunk costumes and masks. I drove myself crazy looking last summer but could only find modern mechs. Those gears and clockwork are hard to find!
Wow beautiful work I love the clock, but the stencils would have looked better if it had been molds.. looks a little fake.. but the techniques I will absolutely used turned out beautiful!
Jami can you tell me how much you ended up selling this great clock for? Helping a friend show her uncle how much even broken clocks can sell for if they’re Upcycled like this.
One problem... Sometimes, these clocks are actually worth quite alot of money. Even if the local thriftstore fails to recognize that. You even said, this clock could be worth $2500, if in working condition... But what would it have cost, to restore the mechanism? Sometimes, it just needs a good cleaning. And that gorgeous mahogany case just needed a slight polish 😖 It is absolutely worth doing some research, before you ruin a beautiful antique. Especially, if it happens to be in an exotic wood, you can't get anymore. And with a lovely, quality musical mechanism. And no, I don't hate chalk paint and wax.. But just keep it FAR away from innocent, beautiful, genuine antiques in good condition!! 🙄

Swedish clocks are all hand painted not moulded details on the front. That’s why we went with stencils.
