I have been carrying a Glock 19 forever until I was able to pick up a Beretta 92x Centurian for a steal of a price. Now my Glock is in storage, where it will stay. I love the all metal build quality, the lack of any real recoil, and overall accuracy and feel of it. Long term fan of the 92FS, but for Conceal Carry, at least for me, the Beretta 92x Centurian is my #1.
Everyone complains about the Beretta Safety Personally just as you mentioned it comes down to training I have zero issues because I train I know the gun and understand all of the workings.
@1776 or Bust Great video! I sold a 92A1 a few years ago and have always regretted it. I found a 92X C in my favorite fun store over the weekend and snatched it up. IMO the 92 series and Sig XFive series are the most beautiful handguns made.
I actually shot my compact carry better than my Elite LTT out of the box. I think it was because of the fiber optic front sight. It was too thin for my liking. You can get a tritium front sight from Langdon Tactical for about 60 bucks.
Love my 92X, although I will recommend you do not use the Mcarbo spring kit, ever since I put that in every once in a while while shooting the gun will lock itself back on a loaded mag
FYI, installed a LTT trigger bar and saw nominal and I mean, next to no difference in a 92x Centurion RDO. The bars are so close in shape, the LTT only provided overtravel which was tiny.
@@1776orbust Changed my trigger to a Volker. There was overtravel and reset spacing was more evident. I think the oem trigger and bar matched well but, start deviating and it isn't as precise.
Great video on the 92x. If you ever want to help out the nerves when talking to the camera or in presentations you could ask doctor for a beta-blocker (propranolol). Works great, and they are approved for such situations. I get a hand tremor when my nerves comes out for presentations I do, and they go away when I take one

It always comes down to what your wallet can afford I believe in buying them on the cheap and then upgrading as they go along ultimately you'll save a little bit of money and you may not get the exact same feel as a Langdon pistol but in my opinion it's pretty darn close
I believe the difference in length between the Centurion and the Full size is around 3/4 IN. How much difference that shorter barrel/overall length makes in recoil impulse, bullet velocity and accuracy would be interesting to compare notes on. That's one of the benefits of getting a full sized: maximum performance for minimal recoil. ALSO, last I checked, Beretta didn't have front slide secretions OR an optics ready slide on the Centurion as a stock option. If they do, they don't reflect it very well on their website. They do have those features for the full sized 92x RDO version though.
It might be my imagination, but it looks like the area of the grip panel on the left side of the gun (and presumably on the right side too) in the top corner between the beavertail and the safety/decocker is beefier/thicker/more rounded on your compact than on your Centurion where it looks like a total flat spot. Maybe it's an optical illusion via video? But if I'm right, that might be why the beavertail beats your thumb knuckle less with your compact than it does with your Centurion. Just a thought.
Why oh why did Beretta decide to copy a hi-point with their px4’s? Good vid-I really like the skinnier hips and flat butt in my hands, as opposed to the all steel m9’s I used to train on and carry in the Navy. Hands are on the smaller side. Here’s yer’ upthumb.

Since you have both, if you could only have one, which would you choose between the Compact and Centurion? I'm looking to get my first Beretta; obviously I would *like* an M9A3 or 92X Performance, but I feel like the 92X is a great package for the money. I would like it to fall into the range of my CZ P-01 as a do-it-all gun.

Highly recommend JM Custom Kydex. That’s what I use to AIWB carry all of my Berettas, including my 92X Centurion.

It cleaned my trigger up on the compact I have and the take up was much smoother

Yes but beretta is supposed to send you a plate. I have yet to actually get one from them
