  • Firewood orders are flying in with more than double the sales so far this year compared to last year. The firewood business is growing which means I wish I had more wood. I guess that's the theme with all smaller firewood sellers. There is never enough firewood inventory.

Have you raised your prices for firewood this burning season?

"If you can't fix it, then feature it."
You already mentioned the solo stove option for the short pieces. But marketing 101 is to talk up everything. Try promoting it as "Specially cut for small firepits/solo stoves." While these are truly off-cuts, the customer may pay more or choose that for it's special feature of being small.

Phil the flowering firewood salesman. Good to hear business is really picking up. It’s doing the same here in north Alabama with the cooler weather take care, Ben.

Nice to see you back Phil! (This from the kink of sporadic uploading!) Glad to see the firewood business is growing so rapidly. Looks like you'll run out just in time for the tree business to start really running you ragged! Good luck!

is It really that profitable for all the hard work you put in on the flower patch to have been worth it?

More profitable and less work than firewood 🤣

I have a Frontier 4.0 SV and had almost a 1/2 cord which seemed to be pretty heavy,i got a little nervous lol

yeah, I'm sure that would be well over max payload and it would have to be mounded up pretty high in the 5ft bed. the LWB version would handle it better. I wouldn't mind having a longer bed.

@@FlatCreekOutdoors It didn't really mound the cuts are are 14-16 inches the place by me in longisland sells a bucket scoop for 50 which is a really good price .My guy raised it to 600 for 2 cords from 480 2 years ago stacked . I need to make it worth my while because i save about 400 gallons of oil using my insert . I use 4 cords a season so i'll save about $1,100 the year .
