Thanks for this. I looked far and wide for a Roper tutorial without any luck until I stumbled upon this. Good looking out, my friend.

I love your channel, but I can't say I'm a fan of the "silent film" version. It's really nice to hear you talk through your process, even if it's very simple steps.

You even make a rock look like a masterpiece!

This same mini has been sitting in my collection for over a year now, unpainted, but this made me want to actually get it out and finally paint the darn thing.

Great video, I'm glad I found your channel. I think it's nice to just watch someone paint without all the talk. Thanks

Hi Doc great vid! In the lore of these beasties (5e) they have gems and precious minerals in them. I dabbed a light sapphire inside to tip the players off and used a very light gold metallic dry-brush to give a 'Gold-vein' look. The tentacle transition looks awesome BTW.

Great mini and great paint job. I never realised that I can make stone a lot more interesting. The tentacles colour choices are really interesting and subtle. I also am a big fan of the narrated video. Keep up the great work and look forward to some more weird and odd minis. 😁

The random painting projects are what I'm up to, I'd finished the few things that I'd needed done for coming D&D games along with the things that I'd wanted to paint up. Followed that by looking through my older stuff for random options that I'd never gotten to use. Oddly, enough, several old GW Vampire Counts ones that I'd bought when the last book for them was released before AoS and I stopped playing. Never really painted them because they didn't fit my actual army, and I'd gotten them at the launch along with a few heavily discounted ones at the time.

Great job, video kinda reminds me of that series "Watch Me Work" by Christopher from AG Productions. What ever happened to that guy, he seems to have just dropped off the earth for some reason about a year ago.

I've got a technique question if you don't mind. I finally got hold of a custom Naga miniature from Heroforge. What I would love to get advice on is how you would do a snake skin pattern on a smooth surface. The back of the figure is totally smooth so no raised scales to dry brush or wash. Thanks.

Try this, just smaller. Or you can just paint it highlighted dots. th-cam.com/video/zijNrbz2I1s/w-d-xo.html

I do get a little anxiety when you say goobye until the end. The journey is so lonely...

How much do you speed up your videos? I can't tell if they are sped up a lot or if I am a slow painter...probably a mix of both!

Question for the painters: I've run out of paint brushes in lockdown and I'm on a tight budget, can anyone link me to some cheap-ish brushes online that are still able to deliver??? Thanks for any help fellas!
