Dry brushing is an awesome technique. Makes quick work of many paint jobs lol. I recently got a hold of two beholder minis so I’ll definitely be making a video on one of those. 😁
I was just reminded recently--when I painted the Minotaur Labyrinth Guardian from the Pathfinder Deep Cuts series--that they lay the primer on so thick on these minis that there's not much "tooth" for the paint to grab on to. Is this why you laid down another layer of primer over that one? They're also terrible about not removing mold lines, unfortunately. But this ended up looking really good, nice work on your end!
Yes, you are correct. The stock primer won’t allow paint to adhere to. Honestly, I don’t bother removing mold lines from a lot of these as they are painted for fun tabletop gameplay. I also just got into the habit of always priming before painting.
Hi! What do you mean by clean it? This figure comes pre-primed from the manufacturer. All you need to do is prime if with a primer of your choice (if you want) and paint. 😁
