I love that you actually used metallic colors. I see too often painters coloring metal parts with regular opaque paints and it just makes the swords and other metal parts look like plastic. Having a bit of metal that catches the light makes the figure feel more real and alive.
"Kinda looks like a Rob Leifeld character." Damn! Shots fired. Then again, his feet *are* covered.... All in all, I like the final look of the miniature. The skin tone actually worked out well; the hint of that tan that still shows through tweaks it a little more towards human without losing that well-known red tone of a devil/demon. The mix of black Wash and Dark Prussian Blue was wild; with how thinned down it was, it really provided a chance to see the different tones in there, including what looked like a dark teal/green.
Thanks for being honest with the time it took. I'm getting so frustrated with these speed painting videos that make you feel like you should be able to paint a miniature like this in an hour. I often spend about 5-8 hours per mini. So it takes me a few days as well.
If he had a bajillion belts and zippers, he'd be a Tetsuya Nomura character. Look at the weirdos from Kingdom Hearts for some examples of his love for excessive accessorizing.

The Bob Ross of miniature painting. Thank you sir for another great video!
I know it's been nine months, but I have this guy in my hand right now, and I really like the overall sculpt. Props to Bobby Jackson.
Adding that Yellow Ink Glaze blew my mind. I would have never thought about it! Such a cool look. Thanks for the inspiration, as usual. =)

Is anyone else fascinated by the colors and patterns on Doc's palette?
I'm probably going to pick this model up now that I've seen you paint it. Love all the detail and look of this guy. Nice Paint Job.
I love what you did with the cloak!
Another great job, well done sir...it's a privilege to have your videos available to watch
I have this mini on my shelf ready to paint! Thanks for a great video
Thank you Dr! Looking forward to more reaper minis!
Excellent work, smooth blends too! Yellow glaze over purple highlights...strange!
As it happens, I just ordered this guy! Looking forward to seeing where I can take it color wise.
Always look forward to these videos! Now, if only I had the discipline to chip away at my own "Pile of Bones" 🤔...
Remember, the first step is admitting you have a problem. =)
More Reaper D&D please

This one has been on my own list of stuff I'll probably buy just to paint. How do you like the Bones Black stuff so far?
will you be painting any of the bones black series?
This is Bones Black.
do you use a piece of tile, or linoleum as a pallet? because it looks like it works well..
Ceramic tile.
@@ThePaintingClinic thanks for the reply! :)
What size brush are you using for your layers?
#1 or #2.
A hexblade warlock can wear medium armor. So he's good.
What did you use to prime this bones model? I've had decent luck with Citadel spray primers in the past, but sometimes they don't cure properly.
Badger via airbrush. The propellants in most spray cans can react badly with the Bones PVC material. I hear Army Painter is safe.
@@ThePaintingClinic I just primed several Bones Black models with Citadel Wraithbone, Chaos Black, and Corax whit with no issues
He's very handsome.
