Took a year off of building post lockdown. My kid and I devoured so many videos on your channel Scotty. Thank you for helping us stay sane. Man I had SO much fun building during 2020-2021 w/ my kid. Prices were crazy, thankfully we had a nice backlog of sets to build.
I just finished this build today! Probably took 10 hours give or take. I wish I could upload a pic of it! I eliminated 4 sections of the track to that it would fit on my shelf and look nicer. I've done the DORA gun as well and it was a fun (and sturdy) build! Looking forward to the KALININ Airplane build!
It's been so long I forgot about the KALININ, at the time I did the video they never released it..did they finally do it? lol. They had so many more that were supposed to come out. I've only seen more recent sets from them.
Scotty, I know you don't like tanks, but .. Panlos is doing some tanks and sets from the Sino-Japanese war, which I think is really cool. I like to see a Chinese company embracing a piece of Chinese history. More tanks. More military. Love your channel!
You probably know that Brickmeet did a store build on this a while back. Not only that I think this version has some things that cobi version has and doesn't have like the rail pieces. Great to see that this brick brand did one. For me I like the Cobi version. It's always funny when Shaun is in a video. But I wonder what Saslovsky is going to tell us about this.
HERR KARL , DUR ÜBER MORTAR !!!!!!!! I recall this unit being used in WWII , like the other super weapons created for the Wermacht and Luftwaffe , or kriegsmarine . while not produced in massive numbers these weapons were utilized to inflict massive damage. Be it a Karl , or Dora , or the Maus ( mouse in German ) , or the ME - 262 ( the first fighter jet to fly ) , the German mindset for development of weaponry had been known to be ahead of the curve . The V - 1 and V - 2 are amongst these unique weapons also that can be counted as super weapons. I loved the variety of weaponry provided for the mini figs that come with the Karl. US 🇺🇸 and 🇩🇪 German weaponry , the UK 🇬🇧 weaponry too , thought dang they might of done weaponry shopping lol. If you can get me a pic of that bomber I could tell you what kind it is. These sets are taking it to many a new level . Truthfully Big L ought to pay attention. If they do not update their thinking , they will one day eat a big loss. They have proven their Hypocrisy many a time for a extra dollar , euro , pound , or deutschemark. You and Steve did a great job. Have a great afternoon , evening out HK way brother. Narrow gauge straight tracks! One of the holy grails of Lego pieces! And it even looks like they got the connector right this time. (Kazi made it incompatible with Lego narrow gauge curves.) But it looks like Panlos doesn't know about the gold they are sitting on as they do not seem to make narrow gauge curves and train sets. :(
My 8 year old has been watching this and the speed build video. Is the set worth buying for him to be able to build? How does the quality compare to Lego brand? Thanks!
Oh man. Hope your kid isn’t scarred or scared of us lol. Honestly it might be a bit hard because it’s repetitive and you may have to guide him. Otherwise it is a solid build. As for quality, Lego by far is still number 1 imo. In terms of brick quality and clutch. This however is pretty close. I think design and bricks have to come hand in hand but as you can see from the vid it’s pretty solid. Hope that helps.
I allready have cobi morser Karl Gerat 040 60 cm calibre and i want to buy this panlos morser Karl to be converted into Gerat 041 54 cm calibre , the differences between Gerat 040 and Gerat 041 is in the barrel , i want to replace this panlos Gerat 040 barrel with 3d printed longer and thinner barrel to becoming Gerat 041 , for do this i need to know the lenght of this Morser Karl (without its railway transport) , can you help me

Well Sean did say a lot of good information about the gun. There were 6 built. However since I love the states I can't find anything about the guns towards the end of the war. The only thing I can say that is true is what Sean said about the one in Russia. Overall it's a great set to build, I always enjoy the comedy when Sean is on.
Unfortunately I haven't had Sean in since the lockdowns, one of these days I will. I have some older unreleased videos I haven't put out yet which I should release soon.
