Hi, you don't need to do either of these things. Tetras prefer to spawn in a very quiet environment and if you add an oxygen stone, it will greatly disturb them. We don't need to feed them anything for those four days. The fish will be fine even if we don't feed them for a week. Feeding them will not only pollute the water, but also disturb them. Hi there is this feed called larviva mysis 75micron size more like powder it looks like... can i feed that as first food for zebra danio fry..... i have asked you this question before ans you asked me to try egg yolk solution but only 6 frys i have out of 100s 😢 ... so i bought this food ... can you pls guide me ???
Hi, I haven't heard of or used this Larviva Mysis before, so I can't give you my opinion on it. I'm sorry for your loss. When you feed egg yolk, you should be very careful not to pollute the water. Try to use a ramshorn snail to dispose of the waste. Also, egg yolk is only suitable for the first few days. As soon as they are able to eat BBS (baby brine shrimp), switch to that immediately. I haven't bred zebra danio, but for most of the tetras I have bred, they can eat baby brine shrimp once they can free swim. You can use filter water from a sponge filter. It has many microbes that baby zebra danio fry can eat until they grow big enough to eat bigger foods
