I agree with you. That's why managers and directors need to be arrested for hiring illegal immigrants. They encourage this immigration by hiring. However, the government only arrested the illegal workers and NOT MANAGERS OR DIRECTORS. By doing so this only encourages MORE hiring of illegals, not the other way around. If there is no penalty for such practices, they will keep happening. The illegal want to work, they work hard, but arresting only them does nothing to curb illegal immigration.
Right what our company does is get them in as temp workers for all our hotels many citizens who did this work promoting within and intern prep cooks are no more. We even hire legal Hispanic department heads so if you did go to school for this good luck finding a job. There's always going to be a cost to this. They staying in hotels now tax payers are paying for it. Overwhelming the whole immigrants system. It's ridiculous

I'm an immigrant working as a Janitor, and my boss said I'm keep the building spotless, while my other former boss transferred me, and hired an Amercian; therefore, that janitor doesn't clean very good at that location I usted to work, when the inspector came to inspect, and they got 62% while at my current location got 95%.

I'm a construction worker who hires to make concrete, I hired 3 undocumented workers and 2 u.s citizens, I needed them for a whole week. The 2nd day the 2 u.s citizens didn't come because they were "sick" but the 3 undocumented workers came very early in the morning to start the job.
I bet you had to pay cash for these illegal workers. I bet those workers did not report their income to the IRS.

I dare this girl to deliver this line of crap to an American who has been out of work for several years and would gladly pick lettuce, clean houses and do other menial jobs to keep their homes and their families fed. I should know. I’m a teacher and lost my job at no fault of my own several years ago. I literally couldn’t find a job anywhere doing anything and I applied for jobs cleaning houses, washing windows, unloading produce trucks and was turned down because I was overeducated and it was “assumed” I wouldn’t actually want to do this menial work. Truth is is I’d have done ANYTHING to pay my bills. The idea Americans won’t do what immigrants will is completely faulty logic.

really? how many visa's have you gotten? Most of them come for poor regions, so they can't afford visas, and often can't read / write, so can't fill out the numerous forms. Even highly educated ppl can be blocked, just because a single offical had a bad day.

The process to get a work visa is long. never mind the process to becoming a legal citizen. immigrants aren't well educated as a commenter above said, they've most likely been struggling their whole life working their asses off but it doesn't pay off in Mexico unless you're a crooked politician or a drug lord, that's why they choose to come over here where they know the work they put in will equal the outcome.

I remember working at a vineyard ranch in Cali and something very unusual happened.
A man started to work with us i am not gonna describe him but you may be able to fill the blanks. Working in ranches all across Cali is arduous work i had several close calls with heat stroke passing out dehydration exhaustion and i am able to stand the heat. Now back to our friend he worked the whole day and well the next day he didn't show. It's normal for people to leave work this kind of work i left it i wasn't cut out for it

Im undocumented and I have given jobs for companies I have created from the floor up, built with my hard work labor and dedication. I'm creating a platform for those like me
Illegal immigration is a problem yes, but from what I've seen immigrants (Legal or Illegal) have always worked harder for cheaper and complained less (or never comlpained on the job) I remember I worked one summer with my uncle in a small construction company owned by a family friend and there were 2 illegal mexicans working with us and they did woke up at 5 to get to the house we were working at and worked hard and diligently we had to force them to stop and take a lunch break with us. I think regular Americans or only complaining because they ''think'' immigrants are taking their jobs when in reality they aren't even going for THOSE said jobs.
p.s illegal immigrants work harder than legal ones for lower wages cause they're undocumented depending on where they work and its just so sad.
Whether some are good workers who assimilate and increase our America is not the point here. I was in Texas for years and there was no shortage of Mexicans anywhere you worked. How many were legal or illegal was not an issue as long as they were good workers who could understand and speak english. That was over twenty years ago and there was a stigma attached then.

If employers can't make a profit by operating their business in compliance with our laws they should file for bankruptcy or move their business to another country. These legal foundations are what prevents this country from turning into the same banana republic these immigrants are fleeing from. The US does have it's own temporary foreign worker program to accomodate temporary labor shortages. The problem is these contractors and businesses want to circumvent the checks and balances of the system and the penalties for violations are so minimal that they figure it's still worth taking the risk to hire these people.
One way or another miss transvestite you will need help.

Hiring immigrant for H2B visa are being abused by a lot of AGENCY and IMMIGRATION too, 2008 a lot of FILIPINO with H2B visa went home after a year and expected they could return yet the EMBASSY denied there VISA for return. Reason why some keep staying and renew the visa 2x a year and spent a lot of money just to stay in legal status

I feel like having illegas as a hiring option, keeps companies pay low. At the turkey/chicken plants in Minnesota they hire lots of illegals. It keeps costs down because American citizens won't do those jobs for $12- $13 an hour. I worked at one of these plants and left as soon as I found a better paying job. If they would of paid me $18-$20 an hour I would of stayed, since they can hire illegals for lower wages why would they pay me more for the same work?
Yes, that's precisely the problem. Immigration (whether legal or illegal) drives down wages and makes it harder for Americans to get jobs. The winners are (1) the immigrants, and (2) the employers that can hire cheap labor rather than having to pay a Living Wage. The losers are American workers.
Yes they are employers hire them first because they have them cash their check and give the manager a cut. My brother would hire them then take a cut from each one from their money. A lot of companies do this take cuts from them even at McDonalds , manager even provide social security numbers.
This is the same problem that Thailand is facing about migrant workers from neighboring countries. Majority of the jobs taken by these workers are the ones that Thais do not want to do.Like peeling shrimps shells, cleaning fish,hard labors,construction works etc.
why don't instead of Americans meddling in foreign countries half way across the world, we address the war on drugs on our own soil? the main reason why Mexico's cartels are so rampant is because their main source of income is from the States. if we tackle this issue plus aid Mexico with defeating the cartels on their soil, then maybe they can finally bring their economy/education up without retribution or corruption, and less people will be inclined to cross over.
When I moved to Texas in 1978, I worked in the blazing sun framing houses right along side Mexican crews. We would good naturedly heckle each other. I've never bought into "they do work I wouldn't do". I've worked as a technical designer, but I also worked as an oil field hand. I've designed websites and I've worked in corn fields. It's not like these guys can come up from Mexico with no English and start hitting the internet job boards. They take the work that they see and that is available to them and that their friends and relatives do. I've also been unemployed and sought the work "that they do" and got turned away because I was an anglo. It's a culture thing, very nuanced. Texas thrives on Mexican labor and legal or not, they pay billions in sales tax and other taxes.
You may be an exception, get serious, Americans will not do that type of work, for a couple of weeks, they will be collection unemployment are disability for back problems, get real, now, becouse of U.S. stupidity, the food supplies are going overseas, which give those country's more controls over prices and weather conditions, supply in demand

we pay the same sales taxes when we buy things..., immigrants arent paying income taxes and them working for less due to this and not having permits for trade jobs ect destroyed wages for americans, so now they cant even afford to live off of trades. If the immigrant, learns English, graduates high school, attends 2 years of tech school , serve 8 years in the military as a mechanic, get ASE certified, get his state inspectors license, get a commercial driver’s license, I will welcome him or her as my co worker.

as someone who had their job given to illegals , i am happy they are getting upset , they come in and offer and work for much less , less than i can afford to work and still support my family, thus driving down the wages in my career, now that they have lowered the cost of labor so drasticly they are complaining about not being able to live on what they are getting paid. many people would be happy for those jobs before the labor market was flooded with people willing to do those jobs for so much less

Hey, I've shopped at that Home Depot! Working in construction with my dad, I know the kind of heat these guys have to go through but I was lucky because I had a stable job at that time. As much as I want to hire some of the guys when I drive in or out, I really have nothing for them to do. The best I could offer is some water every now and then.

There are two reasons they have these jobs;
#1 - You don't have the skills for the job, so companies are forced to look abroad for recruitment. Refuse them access and companies go elsewhere, you lose out.
#2 - It's a job you wouldn't want to do, so by removing them you break your own economy as many of these jobs are in the primary sectors. You lose out and slowly starve secondary (manufacturing) forcing a service sector only industry (what's happening in the UK right now)

Because there are no more programs to bring uneducated workers. Now only doctors and higly trained workers migrate to the US legally. Some business need workers to do the sweat and blood, emphasis on agricultural labour.
