Not a legit comparison, the Toyota had a lift, although despite the lift the Jeep is the obvious winner off road, better fuel exonerated and more power I think? And most importantly the Jeep has a solid axle with two selectable lockers with way more suspension flex, the Toyota trd pro still lacks suspension flex despite paying an additional $12,000. Canadian for two inches, lol and I have owned two Toyotas, the thing about these two vehicles is that the Jeep is built, no need for anything to be worthy off road, the Toyota needs a lift, preferably a 2-3” long travel lift and Fibreglass fenders to stuff 33” tires, then the Toyota will need to spend a few thousand bucks more for lower gears and a front selectable locker, that’s very expensive…
Jeep is garbage. COPE HARDER
Gladiator costs about 20 grand more so what are you even talking about?
jeep increased price twice a year in 2023 already i do not why
That way they could offer discounts to try to sell some.
Gladiators come with 33’s, doesn’t look like he tried too hard. I think I would climb that obstacle in my JK Rubicon without too much trouble, just saying.
You are right. They do come with 33s stock. But this one had put on 35s right after he bought it. Unless ur jk rubicon is lifted, I’d say it was a pretty hard obstacle, check out other video of mine where the jk rubi did go up all had 2-3inch lift and on 35s.
I think he is a new jeep driver never drove one cause a jeep experience person will not do this type of thing if driving straight like what is he doing
Exactly! Thats why you turn your wheels side to side to allow the tires to grip any chance they get
This is Monday morning quarterbacking... But it appears that on the last obstacle most drivers are trying to go around the rocks, instead of on top of them? I'm curious if you could hug the rights side more, a bit less air pressure, and some 2 foot driving would allow more rigs to make it through? Nonetheless, I appreciate your videos showing the capabilities of stock to very mildly modified rigs.
Thank you for the comment. And yes we thought of the exact same thing of attacking it from the middle or right side of that hill, however a rubicon on 40s with Dana 60 tried crawl up it and it got high centered at the very beginning on his rear diff, and hence we realized that the right side may look easier but the rocks are substantially bigger so it’s not really stock or mild lift friendly.
IDK I would have just rolled back a little and hit it a little harder.
Gladiator is nice. Wish they have a shorter version
You mean a JLU? 😃
@@4WDisLife No truck bed with a JLU but I get you
I see what you did there 😂
Awesome videos man as usual!
thank you!
I hear people say “oh the gladiator isn’t a truck”. All I have to saw is if the gladiator isn’t a truck than neither is the Tacoma. I will say Jeep doesn’t make a work truck form of gladiator but the gladiator pulls more and the Tacoma max payload is 200 lbs more. I’d say they are right on par with each other.
it has a bed so… haha
@@4WDisLife ik😂😂, some people think the word truck implies 2500 and up😂.
Is a ugly truck
@@hectorrivera6624 haha. Appearance is very subjective I guess.
@@hectorrivera6624 It’s not for everyone. I personally would’ve preferred a 2 door gladiator with a longer bed.
if you're gonna test against a rubicon. you should be testing with a trd pro. apples to apples.
I hear you. These two were the only ones I could get a hold of and i do think they are a good pair to compare because the Tacoma is lifted and has a rear locker.
I mean it has a 2 inch lift and TRD OR have rear lockers anyway. People buying trd pro just to change the suspension makes no sense.
Same truck
@@EJPinter agree
@@hectorrivera6624 yes
It’s funny too see these comparisons when tacomas and early wranglers 4Runners where the man choices for crawling in the beginning the gladiator is a new competitor in the convo that these cars have already established themselves doing these climbs
Fun stuff! Those rock climbs are legit!
Yea. The video is still not doing its justice
No and no
Where is this hill I want to try
famous reading outdoors
Jeep - Happy couple truck
Tacoma - single guys or old men.
This is laughable…. 33” to 35” didn’t even give the Tacoma a chance on last obstacle (I have Tacoma with similar lift/33’s and could handle no problem)…. that Gladiator should have had no problem as well… Horrible comparison
Gladiator did well.
So did the Toyota made it up the hill or not?
Toyota didn’t even try haha
I love Jeep Gladiator Rubicon.
Looked like the jeep used more momentum in the 2 minute area of video.
请问这是在哪里 🙏
Awesome 😎
thank you!
TACOMA TOOK THE EASY DUB ESPECIALY THAT IT WILL LAST ALSO
LOOKS BETTER ALSO
Its obvious that the rubicon wasnt locked
Stock gladiator against a modded taco and the glady still comes out on top.
It’s not stock. It’s got 35inch tires on it. And tbh rubicon trim is more than any Toyota trucks offering in terms of Offroad goodies
The video is narrated in english, but background chatters is in Chinese. What an interesting 😥combo
I don’t see anything wrong with that
He is trying to go straight he needs to left and right I think he is a new jeep owner never rode a jeep before !
Women dont know
That gladiators not on 35's
Mm hmm
Stock 33s
Toyota all day any day
Might be interested in the gladiator for the price if it had a v8 and wasn’t designed for someone who is 5’8 max
I’m 6’ tall and I sit comfortably in mine🤷♂️
Yeah I’m 6’1 and it’s more comfortable than my previous 3G Taco
The saliva noise on the mic. Jeez
How come they didnt show the Tacoma at the end?Probably because it made the hill lol
I wish. But the reality is the Tacoma didn’t even try
@@4WDisLife well the Tacoma should have.I have a 1993 Toyota stock just 31s and have outdid my cousins 2009 Jeep Wrangler before.Just ordered me a new 2023 Tacoma 0ff Road but dont think that 93 is going anywhere it is still my pure off road mountain truck.Ive owned the 93 since 2000
If you go into the mountains take a jeep, If you want to get back home take a Tacoma..
