We replaced out fi-5900c's with the fi-6800c scanners. These things are worth the money! They are very reliable, never seem to break down, and last forever. We are still using little 5650c scanners at our site.

Two-sided - Also called Duplex. Yes, with no change in speed. 90 pages per minute, or 180 images per minute in duplex mode.
Network Folder - Yes, as long as the host computer can see the network folder. The fi-5900C is not a "network scanner" adn requires a computer host. The fi-6010N is a true network scanner that scans to a network folder.

Yes to both questions. The scanner can scan to a network folder and it scans both sides of a document at the same time. It even has a smart blank page deletion feature where you can scan single-sided and two-sided documents in the same batch and eliminate the blank back-side images for the simplex documents. A great time saver!
