Can somebody who knows explain what that deceleration sound is caused by. Traditional anti-lag seems to be gone so I'm guessing the regenerative braking is used to keep the turbo spooled somehow. Would love to know what's happening here!

No. 2022 rally1 cars have 5 speed hydraulic shift + no central differential. (Sequential stick shifter). Old 2021 WRC cars have 6 speed hydraulic shift +active central differential.(sequential paddle shifter).

Look at the exhaust width and compare it with some "sporty" cars. So you easily understand that it is just marketing when you have 2 large chorme pipes, like in the Stelvio😆. Probably they wanted to make it look like a rocket, not a car
