As a grown man and mechanic this video got tears in my eyes. Dang if I was not close to retirement and my body was not hurting I pack my tools up and park in Daves lot till he hired me.
21 years ago my son was born and short after he was diagnosed with Asperger syndrome, and today we were making plans since he was accepted into medical school at UNC. I’m so proud of him I can’t find the words to say it.
Dave talks of his industry needing respect and attracting good mechanics but car manufactures are making it imposible to enjoy the work due to electronic pollution and bad designs that affect the consumer. we need Dave to testify in congress to bring change to an industry like his to bring change that will help consumers and appeal to young mechanics, we need someone like Dave to bring much needed change!
And by the time you guys were done with this show I was in tears you don't see a lot of kindness like this anymore thank God there's people like you in the world

What a nice thing to do for this family, with neurodivergent children. It makes me have faith in humanity when I see things like this. I have twin boys who are 14, and on the spectrum, along with a neurotypical 15 year old daughter. I do everything I can to give them the best life I can, while also trying to teach them to be self sufficient, as much as possible. It’s not always easy, and in fact can be quite trying sometimes, but help like this, like Dave and his family gave, can really help families in need. Thank you for using your resources, and helping this family out.

Me and my wife have a son on the spectrum he is our angel he is non verbal. He loves to jump on a trampoline and swing and loves having his ipad thank you for all you do.
Me and my wife have a 3 year old non verbal grandson that absolutely loves the exact same things! He comes to our house and the first place he pulls us to is the trampoline! Then a stop at the swing. He is such a blast and blessing for us!

One thing about it you don’t rip people off when you work on their vehicle and a lot of mechanics will rip you off but you ain’t one of them you are a great person
Yes the shop that I worked for 30+ years started to take the change to supposedly always for the customers started to switch to about their pockets. I was brought in to the business that if you take care of the customers and the customers will take care of you. Our shop wanted the Techs to price out the job and locate parts which me and another Tech that had also been with the company for 30 years Wouldn’t do, because when the other Techs would send the estimate up front to the service writers they would get online and find something cheaper But still charge the same price. Then when the parts came for the job usually half of the parts were wrong then the tech would have to wait for the correct parts to come. The Greedy shop was no longer enjoyable to work for, it was a shame this is why there is so many great techs leaving the field.

You had me in tears from the get go!! I love watching your videos! Thank you for looking out for those who need help!! In Sept. of "18 I was diagnosed with stage 4 very aggressive cancer and given less than 6 months. So we sold our home in the Puget Sound region and moved in with a daughter in Springdale, Ar.. For yrs doctors have been taking pieces of my left ear off and when I went to a dermatologist they sent me to University of Arkansas Medical in Little Rock where I was told I would lose my left ear, because of having had the Covid shot the I had to have 3 major operations in little over 2 days because of clotting. Finally they took skin from my left shoulder area twisted it and put leaches on it to keep the blood from clotting. I died once on the operating table and later when I was home due to the trauma on the body. But steady and slow has been the name of the recovery. When they put the leaches on I would name them, Waylon and Willie, Dolly and Patsy ect. So you have been so fun to watch in the middle of the night!! Thank you. A friend from afar!! D

Brother I’m 36 about to 37 years old and I’m not in the industry but for some reason I enjoy listening to your videos you inspire me to be more well spoken simply because how you deliver a point Just letting you know my brother your doing more than inspiring young men which is great but your also inspiring middle age men to be more thorough with their knowledge and be self assured about that knowledge with an open mind that’s a tough concept for anyone who’s in a field of a declination of the trade. I’m a welder I make a living from that I never went to a trade school my father was disabled when I was born I never saw him go to work I’m blessed that when he passed away when I was 15 to have a youth pastor who is a great man like I believe you are he taught me a steadfast work ethic and morals and values that a man of Christ should represent and share with others so thank you for your work in young men and the love of Christ and sharing that and that faith without works is dead to the kingdom of god may god bless you and your works sir
