Is it only me or - And you wish that you were stronger, couse you know you're gonna fall, and you cant hold on much longer, you gonna lose it all - always when im listening to it i see Percy thinking or singing this when he and Annabeth are gonna fall to Tartarus, couse Percy would sing how he wish that he was stronger so he could make it to the top with Annabeth and not fall into Tartarus where they gonna lose it all (or something like that), and everyone see all lyrics as holding up the sky (which is also true) but i didnt saw anybody thinking of this part as Tartarus, and that makes this song even more beautiful ❤❤
Kristin is such as good singer and actress...this performance was really expressive. And, of course, kudos to Rob Rokicki, who composed the song.

Never related to a song this much in my life. Love grand plan, and I think it’s a better fit for Annabeth in the Lightning thief, but I feel like take the weight was written for me. Mad praise to Rob for writing this song, and I don’t have words to express how beautiful Kristin’s performance is.

It didnt fit the story he said on another video. Besides this is perfect for Battle of the Labyrinth, everything that happens to her with Luke's visit before the summer, the camp invasion, the quest lead by her, the prophecy that made her believe she would lose Percy, her losing Luke to Kronos. There's no more perfect time to sing this song.
This is a beautiful song, but I think it was cut because it didn't really fit in the plot of the musical. I think having it a cut song, still being performed at concerts and such to describe how Annabeth or whichever character it was meant to describe felt behind the story, is just exactly how it was meant to be. :)
I was hoping there was a video of her singing it after Rob sang it at the reunion concert! :D
